ELIZABETH'S POV

It was 1:30 when we got back and I was exhausted from a night of fake. Fake fucking everything. I felt sick from it all.

Tristan and I didn't say a word to each other as we went off to our rooms, I think he was as tired from it as I was. I walked into 'my' room and flung myself on the bed letting out an exasperated sigh.

I sat up and unstrapped my heels, sliding them off and brought my legs back onto my bed and reached for my laptop. I was in desperate need of something real and missed my best friend. I searched through my contacts and clicked on hers, it was late but I knew she was up binge watching something like always.

I pressed FaceTime and it rang twice.

"BITCH!!" Avery's voice sounded through my room and I pressed the lower volume button quickly.

"Damn A could you be and louder?"

She made a pouty face, "I'm sorry Liz I just miss you."

"I miss you to babe," I felt my heart ache a little and I gave her a small smile.

"How you been," she grabbed a handful of popcorn and shoved it to her mouth, "and why the hell didn't you tell me you were seeing the most popular, hot, and rich man in the US?"

"Ummm."

"Yeah, someone sent me a picture of you guys getting into a really nice car. How come you didn't tell me?"

I sighed, "I guess it never came up?" it came out more as a question then a statement and she rolled her eyes.

"Well, where have you been. You just kind of disappeared without telling me."

I looked down and fidgeted with my fingers, "Have you been on social media lately?"

"No not really, I'm on the 15th season of supernatural. I started the show last week so I haven't been out of my room," she shrugged and gave me a cheeky smile.

I bit my lip and looked up at her, "Avery, I- you see, I'm," I wasn't able to form words and she tilted her head in confusion.

"Lizzy what is it?"

I pursed my lips and forced the words out of my mouth, "I'm married."

Her eyes widened, "What the fuck?!? You didn't tell me?!? You didn't invite me to the wedding?!? I wasn't your maid of fucking honor?!? Biiitch! Who?!?"

"I'm really sorry Aves, it was all so sudden. I didn't even get to invite people to the wedding, I wanted to tell you so bad but for those few days I kind of kept to myself."

She nodded, "You didn't get to invite people? That makes no sense."

I pursed my lips again and look down.

"Ok but who??"

"Tristan."

Silence fell around me then I heard a loud shriek from the other side of the laptop, "Holy shit, Liz! I'm so happy for you! Are you happy? Let me see the ring!"

I held up my hand that had a big diamond that I didn't pay much attention to, "Yeah I'm happy," it broke my heart to lie to her but I can't tell her everything now. I will eventually, just once everything settles.

She did a little happy dance and then laid some more questions on me, "You sure?" She could read me better then anyone, there was no way I could lie to her.

I nodded and she gave me a look but then changed the subject, "So you live in his house?"

"Mansion," I corrected and her jaw dropped.

"Oooo, what about the sex," she wiggled her eye brows suggestively, "I bet he's great in bed."

I blushed and looked down, "Averyyyyy."

She put her hands up in defense and laughed, "Fine fine, you look good, why are you so dressed up?"

I shrugged, "Just came back from a party, speaking of that. I'm really tired I think I'm gonna get some sleep."

She nodded understanding, "Ok, but we're hanging out tomorrow, ok?"

I bit my lip, "A I don't know if w-"

She cut me off, "No no no, we're hanging out, no if's, and's or but's."

I sighed in defeat, "Ok, I'll try."

She beamed, "Great, I'll text you. Night, love you bitch."

I chuckled, "Sweet dreams hoe."

***

I woke up at about 10:00 my phone already blown up by Avery.

I shook my head at her and walked into the bathroom.

I turned on the shower and slipped out of the shirt I was wearing and stepped in letting the hot water hit my back. It was a little too hot but I dint care and let the scolding water drench my olive skin. I took a deep breath of the foggy air letting my mind wonder.

I finished washing my body and stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel around my body. I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked warn and tired. I sighed and turned away quickly.

I slid into legging and a loose tank top and headed downstairs for breakfast. I walked into the kitchen to see Sarah cooking eggs, bacon, and pancakes. The usual morning breakfast.

I sat down at the island and watched her work, "You need any help?"

She turned to me and gave me a smile, "I'm good. I'm almost done. How was last night?"

I rested my head in my hands and thought the right word to use, "Tiring," I finally came up with.

She nodded, "But did you have fun?"

I shrugged, "Rich and fancy isn't really my thing."

She laughed and nodded, "Oh I know."

"Hey, whats that supposed to mean?" I asked jokingly in a slightly offended.

"Don't get defensive, its a compliment," she slid a plate full of food in front of me and I dug in.

I let out a small moan when the flavor of the bacon invaded my mouth, "Thank you Sarah, this is so good."

She gave me a smile in return and went on to clean the pans.

I finished my food and decided to call Avery not wanting to go through the millions of texts. I walking into the family room and plopped down on the couch clicking on Avery's contact.

She answered instantly with an exasperated sigh, "Finally."

I chuckled, "Sorry I just ate breakfast. So, whats the plan?"

She giggled evilly and worry spread over me, "It's a surprise."

I shook my head even though she couldn't see me, "Oh no, no more surprises. Last time you had a surprise for me I was jumping out of a plane," its true. On my 18th birthday Avery took me skydiving, I kinda liked it. The thrill, it was fun. Apart from the fact I was freaking out on the plane.

"Oh, cmon. It'll be fun this time promise, wear something hot. Text me the address I'm getting you at 4:00," I sighed knowing there was no arguing with her.

"Fine," I said and hung up. I texted her the address and prepared myself for my next unwanted adventure.

I took a deep breath and stood up, walking in the direction of Tristan's office.I knocked on the door softly and heard a gruff 'come in'.

I opened the door and cautiously stepped inside the room. I looked around, it was actually nice. Sort of homey but professional.

My eyes landed on Tristan who was looking at me with clear annoyance, "Yes?"

I bit my lip, here goes nothing, "I'm going out," I gushed.

"What?"

I pursed my lips not wanting to repeat myself, "Tonight, I'm going out tonight."

His face held no emotion as he stared at me. I fidgeted under his gaze awaiting his reply.

"No you aren't," was all he said and he turned his attention back to his work.

I scoffed, "Yes I am."

His eyes shot back up and he narrowed them at me, "Excuse me?"

I crossed my arms and stood my ground, "I'm going out tonight. I'm a grown woman not a dog, you can't control my life."

He looked angry and annoyed, "Watch me."

I rolled my eyes and he stood up quickly. I jumped in surprise at the sound of the chair scraping across the floor.

"Don't roll your eyes at me, Elizabeth," he growled.

I ignored the way my name sounded coming from his mouth and the chills that ran down my spine form the dominant tone he held. I rolled my eyes again, "Watch me," I said mocking him.

He started taking long strides towards me and I back up until my back was pressed against the wall, "You don't know who you're dealing with, find your place pet. I don't want you going out and embarrassing me"

Did he just call me pet?

I pushed myself off the wall making myself stand closer to him, tingles shot through my body at the close proximity but I pushed it to the back of my mind, "I think I do know who I'm dealing with, I'm dealing with my husband," the word husband came out mockingly, "and I'm going out tonight whether you like it to not."

I pushed past him and quickly walked out the door, hopefully leaving him stunned. He was probably so angry at me but I didn't care.

I went up the stairs to get ready.

I picked out high waisted black shorts and a red crop top and had strings wrapping around my stomach. The top exposed my cleavage slightly and I threw my hair up in a high pony tail and applied I little make up. I grabbed my purse throwing everything in it including money and check the time.

It was 3:50 so Avery should be here soon. Avery is very punctual, something I am definitely not.

I skipped down the stairs excited to see my best friend and walked into the kitchen. Sarah was unloading the dishwasher and Tristan was at the island eating what I assumed was his lunch.

Sarah was the first one to notice me and a smile spread across her face, "Damn Lizzy, you look good."

I returned the smile, "Thanks Sarah."

Tristan's eyes shot up from his phone and quickly scanned my body, his eyes shot back to mine and darkened.

"You're going out wearing that?" He said with distaste.

My heart dropped and I frowned and looked down at myself, "What's wrong with it?"

"Everything, go change," he said demandingly.

I rolled my eyes but still felt a slight squeeze in my chest, "Damn I didn't know I looked that bad."

"You don't look bad, thats the problem," he mumbled to himself.

I was about to ask him what he meant by that but I was rudely cut off.

"Go change, you're not leaving the house looking like that."

I crossed my arms and stood my ground, "No."

Anger clouded his features and he began to stand up, "What did you just say?"

Sarah's face filled with fear and she quickly scurried out of the kitchen.

I ding sounded on my phone and distracted my attention from the raging man in front of me.

I looked back up at him, "I don't have time for this, Avery's here, I'll be back later."

He started walking towards me ready to argue but I quickly ran out of the kitchen and made my way to Avery's car.

He didn't bother to chase me thankfully because he definitely would've caught me.

I slid into the car and smiled at the girl sitting beside me, "Hey Aves."

She returned my smile and started to pull out of the drive way, "Hey babe, why the fuck do you live in a castle?"

I giggled at her, "Don't ask me that question."

She pulled onto the road and sighed, "When do I get to me your man?"

Never.

I wanted to say but bit the sided of my cheek and responded, "Soon enough, so where are we going?" I asked changing the subject matter.

I watched a sly smile creep to her face and she bit her lip to try to contain it, "Clubbing."

Oh fuck.
