But I won't let him win this time. 

I won't get caught in his trap this time. 

It was my time to get free from his cage. 

I saw all the things running in front of my eyes in a never-ending loop. My heart started to ache more as I again saw how my sister was separated from me. It made me want to run again to save her but my legs felt numb. I was weeping loudly as I saw her body covered in blood and slowly life was slipping away from her eyes. I was crying so loudly for help but it seemed like everyone who was passing by couldn't hear my voice. 

They all were walking as if I and my sister were invisible to their eyes. All my cries and all my begging for help were nothing to them as they continued their passing by. I knew I was the one because of which my sister was in such a state. If I had just not been a stubborn kid like always and listened to her for once. But no, I wanted to have ice cream even if she told me I couldn't because I have a fever and cold. I pledged to her and when she didn't budge I started acting stubborn. 

I refused to get in the car. I made her give in and bring ice cream from the ice cream truck across the road. She told me to wait in the car and I said yes with a big smile on my face because I knew she will always fulfill all my wishes. But I refused to sit in the car as I was so eager to eat ice cream after two long weeks. I told her I will wait outside with the driver. Instructing the driver she went to buy ice cream for me and I waited impatiently but when she was crossing the road a car came in full speed in her direction. I screamed her name on top of my lung as I saw it get near her but before my sister could hear my voice the car had already hit her. I tried to run near her but my small frame was in the caging grip of the driver. I pleaded, cried, and did everything but I couldn't do anything at that moment to bring my sister back. 

Suddenly the things in front of my eyes changed but instead of my sister I was in a hospital bed and my small self anymore but grown-up me. I was thinking about what I was doing here when I saw the door opening and a nurse carrying a baby in her hand. She handed me, my baby, with a big smile, and my eyes welled up. But even before she handed my baby to me, someone took it away from me. Jack had my baby in his arms. 

"I will never let you take my baby with you," he said in his dominating voice, and saying that he turned to walk away from me. I sobbed and screamed at him to bring my baby back but I was left all alone in darkness as nothing was left with me now. The pain was heart-crushing and I felt choking on my breath as everything was suffocating me to the point where I couldn't take it anymore. 

Crying I opened my eyes, jerking my body up in a seated position as the pain of losing my loved one was crushing my soul to no extent. Big warm terms felt out of my eyes as I sob loudly. The door of the room was open with force. With my blurry vision, I saw Jack come running to me with fear in his eyes. He came running to me and hugged me tightly as he saw me crying. I just stayed still as he wrapped his arms around me to comfort me but I felt nothing because he was the main reason behind all my misery. He saw I still did not respond to his actions. He broke the hug and cupped my face. 

"Are you ok?" he asked in his soft voice as he tried to tug my stray hair behind my ear but I moved away from his hand before they could touch my face. 

"Don't touch me" I said in my angry voice as I remembered how he separated my baby from me in my nightmare. His face twitched in pain as he heard my words. With wobbling legs, I got away from him and out of the bed. I will never tell him that I'm pregnant. I will protect my baby with all my might. I can't lose my baby as I lost my sister. 

"Where are you going you need to rest," he said in his same voice but I didn't reply to him and kept walking away from him with my wobbling legs. Getting to the closet I removed all my clothes which I brought with me and threw them in my bag. He followed me in. 

"I asked you where are you going," he asked in his angry voice as he took hold of my hand to make me face him. 

"Away from you and everyone who deceived me" I screamed in my pained-filled voice. 

"You are going nowhere just listen to me first," he said in his stubborn voice making a last attempt to get me in his words. His words caused anger buildup in me. 

"I want to hear nothing. You still expect me to stay. Why should I stay after knowing the truth of our marriages" I said in my angry voice as I removed his hand away from me. I zipped my bag and started to walk away from him.  

"You are carrying my child is that reason not enough," he said in a firm voice as he again took hold of my hand making me turn to face him. A gasp left my mouth as I heard his words. 

"You thought I never noticed your changed behavior. Even though you thought you would never tell me I knew it from starting" he said, causing more tears to well up in my eyes. I yanked my hand away from his grip. 

"What now you will threaten me with my unborn child like you do whenever you see your trap getting lost around me," I said in my tearing voice but anger was flowing in my every word. His jaw clenched as he heard my words. 

"I'm not threatening you. It's my child too and I wouldn't let you take it away from me just like that," he said in his dominating voice. 

"Go on do anything you want but I won't stay even if it costs me my life," I said in my firm voice as more tears started to fall from my eyes making me lose my consciousness again as I had still not recovered fully from the last blow. It was so hard for me to say such words but I knew this was the only way to get away from him. 

"Nina," he said in his pained voice and tried to take hold of me but I pushed him away. 

"If you want to, I will drive you to your dad's house but don't take too much strain. I don't want to see your health and baby's held in danger," he said in his soft voice as he saw my determination to get away from him. 

"If you care so much for my baby then just stay away from us or else I won't even know what I will do next to get away from this trap," I said in my hurt but determined voice. I saw how his face twitched in anger and his jaw was clenched. I took hold of my bag again and started to walk away from him and this life. 

This time I was leaving with my unborn child for real with no thoughts of coming back again.
