"What is jack hiding from me?"

My heartbeat so fast as those words repeated in my head. I heard their footsteps coming toward the door. I walked away from there with fast steps and a wildly beating heart. I didn't know why I walked away from there like I was a thief instead of confronting them on their face about what they were hiding from me. But somehow I don't find the courage to do that. I walked fast back to where aunty Sam and uncle Richard were waiting. I faintly smiled at them. Dad and Jack arrived after five minutes. 

"Ready to go," Jack asked, looking at me as he stood beside me while pulling me towards him. I just nodded with a faint smile on my face as my hands rested on his hard chest. Saying good night to everyone we walked out of there. Throughout the ride, I just kept thinking about their words. What possible they could be hiding from me. 

"Cupcake" I heard Jack's voice. 

"Huh," I asked while looking at him with furrowed eyebrows. 

"Where are you lost? I called your name twice" he said as he looked at me with a concerned face while cupping my face. 

"Nothing I'm just feeling a little tired," I said with a smile on my face as I covered his big hand with mine. 

"Come let's go and rest," he said as his thumb made lazy circles on my pale skin. I nodded and we both got out of the car. The thought of them hiding from me something still had not left my mind. We both walked to the door with our hands intertwined.

Now it's been an hour since we have arrived and I haven't pulled up my courage to ask him what he was hiding from. Even dad knew what he was hiding from me and he chose to not tell me. It feels like asking that question. I will only make my life hard. Sighing deeply I stood up from in front of the vanity as I was done applying lotion on my body. Before I could turn to go to bet firm hands wrapped below my chest as he pulled me towards him. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even realize when he came and stood behind me. 

"When did you come," I asked as he was done talking with Zanvil on call. 

"When you were so busy with your thoughts at that time," he said as he buried his face in my neck and pressed his wet lips on my nerve. 

"Hmm," I hummed and leaned in his touch feeling tired. I moaned deeply as he kept kissing my neck. Lately, I'm feeling tired all the time. 

"What did Zanvil say," I asked as I tried to relax in his arms. 

"He said we have to be on time tomorrow at Jane's baby shower," he said in his deep voice. Oh yes, tomorrow is Jane's baby shower. I forget about it in all this mess. She will kill me if I even become a second late for it and the pregnant lady is dangerous. They are capable of doing everything. I need to call Hazel and then Ava too. She had given me all the responsibility of looking after the guest for her. Resting my head on his warm chest I kept on thinking about the things and only thinking about them made me tired. Being in Jack's arms still can't take away my tiredness. 

"Jack" I called his name as he got me off-guard with his actions. He lifted me in his arms suddenly making me gasp in suddenness. He made me lie down in the middle of the bed and then hover on me. He cupped my face with a concerned look crossed on his face.  

"What is bothering you so much my wildcat," he asked as he looked straight into my eyes with a soft look in his eyes. At this moment I wanted to ask him but my tongue shuttered as I tried to ask that question. 

"Nothing is bothering me," I said those words to make a concerned look go away from his handsome face. 

"Then why do you seem so lost to me. Are you not feeling well, wildcat" he asked as his thumb made lazy circles on my cold pale skin. 

"I'm feeling well. It's just I'm feeling tired nowadays" I said as I covered my cold hand with his warm one.

"We should go to the doctor," he said, and as he was about to get up to take me, doctor. 

"Jack, I'm fine. I think all the workload is making me tired. I will feel better after resting" I said as I wrapped my hands around him. 

"Are you sure?" he asked as he rested his head on my chest while wrapping his one arm possessively around me 

"Hmm" I hummed as I closed my eyes and played with his hair. The debate of me asking him what he was hiding from me was still going on in my mind. Nina let's get over it. Even if I'm afraid to know it I still have to ask him. I can't stay in this constant fear. 

"Jack," I called his name. 

"Humm" he hummed as he moved and buried his face in my neck. 

"A-are you hiding something from me?" I asked him this question by piling up all my courage. Listening to my question he looked at me with his light brown eyes making me look back into them. 

"How did you know," he asked with his bank face. My heart sank deeper into my chest. I prepared myself to listen to whatever he wanted to say. 

"W--what are you hiding from me," I asked, shuttering a bit. Even though I asked him this question now I felt like running away before he tells me what he is hiding. 

"The thing I'm hiding is," he said with the same blank look in his eyes. My heart beat wildly. I looked at him with little wide eyes waiting for his next words. 

"That passing every day you are making me insane," he said with a smile on his face making me suddenly let go of my breath which I didn't even know I was holding. 

"I go more insane if I don't see my wild cat's face," he said with a mischievous smirk on his face. 

"Jack I'm being serious," I said with a goofy smile on my face. 

"I'm serious too," he said as he started pressing hot kisses all over my face. 

"There is nothing I'm hiding from you, my wildcat," he said while pressing a kiss on the corner of my lips. He removed my nighty as he pressed more kisses. 

"Jack" I moaned as he bit on my neck. Only his mere touch of lips makes me want him. It's taking away all my tiredness in a split of seconds. 

"I told you before my wild cat I won't let you sleep today," he said in his hooded voice while looking straight into my eyes suddenly making breathing hard for me. Saying that he captured my lips. The entire night he was true to his words and I kept on taking him without any complaints. With his touch he made me forget what I wanted to know from him. 

And the next day I got so busy with Jane's baby shower that I forgot about it. I was looking at a smiling Jane who was saying thank you to the guest who was giving her their blessing and gifts. Pregnancy was suiting her so much. Her face was glowing with so much happiness as she rested a protective hand over her swollen tummy. Zanvil was standing beside her with his hand protectively around her shoulder. A smile caressed the corner of my lip as I imagined myself being pregnant with Jack's baby. This thought felt so foreign but at the same time so welcoming. Jack has always wanted to have a baby and he had always stated it. 

"I would love to see your tummy swollen like that," Jack said in his husky voice as he whispered those words in my ear making me blush. I hid my face in his neck with that thought in my mind. My actions made him laugh and wrap his hands around me. The next day I didn't go to work as I felt tired again. Jack told me to rest as he will take care of the work.  Suddenly I woke up from my sleep feeling nauseous. I ran to the bathroom but nothing came out of my mouth. I think I need to see the doctor but before that, I saw my symptoms. 

"Am I pregnant" I whispered under my breath. I called Jane and asked her. She was so excited after hearing my symptoms. Take a test she said to me. I visited the doctor and even brought some pregnancy tests with me to be double sure. I went to the bathroom and took the test and waited until the line showed on the test. I was so thrilled at the same time when I saw two red lines stating I was pregnant. Jack will be so happy. I even jumped in happiness but again stopped my actions realizing now I was carrying a life in me. I wrapped my hands around my still flat stomach. 

"Oh my God I'm pregnant"
