Once they get outside, Jimin's amazed. Johnny sure outdid himself this time.

The outdoor dancefloor setup is on a different level, it's basically a club and the neon lights flash in time with the bass. It's loud too, so loud that Jimin can feel the thrum of the music in her chest. It's a good thing the nearest neighbor is still ways away because this party would be shut down in an instant!

Minjeong's in awe too, "This is so crazy! I've never seen anything like it."

Jimin's been to many college parties, but this one definitely makes the top 5 cut for sure! The DJ booth is set up off to the side of the back deck where a girl with bright pink hair pumps her fist along with the crowd. There's flashes of florescent greens and blues that scan the dancers, casting different shapes as they spiral in this pretty light show.

She and Minjeong stand on the outskirts along with others who chat amongst themselves and watch the partygoers groove. There's that same starstruck look in Minjeong's eye and it makes Jimin feel a little proud that she's the first one to take Minjeong to a place like this.

There haven't been many times that Jimin's felt that when it comes to Minjeong. Usually it's like she's just trying her hardest to be on par with the girl, but this time she really feels like she's finally done something right. Like without prompting, without being guilt-tripped, without having any ulterior motives – Jimin did something nice.

Maybe she's pretty good at this friendship thing after all?

So when Jimin looks at Minjeong, her brown eyes gleaming with wonder, she decides she's going to make this night one Minjeong won't ever forget. If this is her first true college party, then Jimin's going to show her how it's done!

"You still wanna dance?" Jimin offers with a nudge to Minjeong's hip.

Minjeong looks at her and grins, "Of course!"

And just like the Brainiacs' Ball, Jimin and Minjeong spend most of their night dancing – except this time, it's just for them. Without Jake around, there's no one they need to make jealous – or in Jimin's case, piss off – so they have the best time just being themselves.

Or rather, themselves in addition to pretending to be a couple still. The latter is pretty much second nature by now though so there's not much thought put into it.

If anything, it gets easier the more they drink.

Jaemin's resurfaced after going missing for an hour or so, but there's a smug grin on his face so Jimin can only imagine what he's been doing. Judging by the pretty brunette that lingers around him, the answer is pretty obvious.

Jimin's actually impressed though. Usually they work as a team, because Jaemin always comes on a little too strong and weirds the girls out but she guesses maybe he's finally learned something after all this time.

It's all about the balancing act: know when to give and when to back off. Can't be too available because you'll look desperate, but you can't completely ignore them because they'll think you're a bitch and lose interest.

It takes a lot of practice, but that's basically all Jimin's dating life is so she's mastered the balance. And as she watches Jaemin mingle, she wonders what it would be like to go back to that kind of life after spending so much time faking a serious relationship. Could she even do it anymore or has this whole thing ruined her?

Jimin shakes her head; too much thinking and tonight's a night for doing the opposite. Tonight's for letting loose. Tonight's for showing Minjeong a good time. Tonight's for getting drunk and worrying about the consequences tomorrow.

So Jimin downs the last of her drink while Minjeong's too busy bouncing up and down to the music. It's too much too fast, but she brushes it off and waits for the alcohol to numb her thoughts. She watches Minjeong for a moment, smiling at the way she gets so lost in the music. She's loosened up a lot since they arrived; in fact, Jimin's lost count of the number of drinks they've had.

"Yo, yo!" Jaemin shouts as he makes his way over to them.

"Hey! Where've you been?" Minjeong greets as she starts to dance with him. "The setlist is so good!"

"You don't want to know, Minjeong," Jaemin smirks as he puts his hand on Minjeong's hip to steady himself. "Geez, quit bouncing. You're gonna knock me over."

"I hope you've washed your hands at least," Jimin jokes as she pushes his hands off of Minjeong.

"I'm clean," He laughs and goes to knock his cup against Jimin's only to find it empty. "You're out. You pacing yourself or something?"

"No, I was just about to go," Jimin tells him before nodding to Minjeong. "Waiting for this one to finish the song at least."

Minjeong grins and wraps her arms around Jimin in a hug, "You're so thoughtful, cutie kitty!"

"Cutie kitty?" Jaemin laughs. "Yikes!"

"Minjeong," Jimin groans as she curls her arm around Minjeong's waist to hold her up. "I thought we were done with the nicknames?"

"I like that one."

"Well, I don't."

"Boo," Minjeong pouts. "I never get to call you anything cute."

"Cutie kitty ain't cute," Jimin laughs at the slight slur to Minjeong's speech. "If you ever come up with something that is then maybe I'll let it slide."

"Okay! Let me think," Minjeong bolts upright – nearly knocking Jimin over. "I always have my best ideas when I'm a little drunk."

"A little?" Jaemin's brow rises and starts to laugh. "Minjeong, I think you're way past that."

Minjeong shakes her head in an uncoordinated way and it has Jaemin and Jimin laughing harder.

"Told you Jimin's heavy-handed when she pours!"

"Hey," Jimin stops Jaemin. "She made the last round and let me tell you, that drink was strong."

"No shit?" Jaemin looks impressed and turns his empty cup upside down. "I'm out now. Let me try one of these drinks!"

"Okay," Minjeong grins and they start to make their way inside. "This time I want to use the shaker thing like Jimin."

Jimin chuckles, "Oh boy..."

"I'd like to see that," Jaemin laughs then looks to Jimin. "For science purposes."

When Jimin catches onto what he's hinting at, she sends a punch into his shoulder.

"Watch it," She snaps – half jokingly, half not.

"Hey! No hitting," Minjeong scolds.

"Sorry," Jimin mutters but she continues to glare in Jaemin's direction.

Jaemin, being the happily drunken mess that he is, only giggles in return.

Back in the kitchen, Minjeong's lining up her own combination for a cocktail.

It isn't until Jimin's away from the dancefloor and attempting to stand still that she notices just how drunk she actually is. She probably should take a break from drinking, but she can't let Jaemin have that kind of satisfaction. Plus, she kind of wants whatever cocktail Minjeong's making next.

"So it's a little of this," Minjeong says as she splashes in several mixers before reaching for the spirits. "And a little of that. Some of this, okay a little more this. Whoops, too much."

"Jesus," Jaemin laughs as he shakes his head. "You know they've got this shot glass here, right? For measuring?"

Minjeong shrugs, "I like eyeballing it."

Jaemin looks to Jimin, "She's trying to kill us."

"You asked for it," Jimin jokes. "Let the master work."

Minjeong sends an appreciative smile her way, "Thanks, love muffin."

Jimin's grin falters, "Nope. Don't like that one either."

"What do you like being called then?" Minjeong asks as she slaps the tin over the glass part of the shaker just as Jimin did earlier.

Jimin doesn't know what it was about the move, but suddenly her mouth goes a little dry.

"Mommy," Jaemin supplies jokingly.

"Really?" Minjeong's brows shoot up.

"No!" Jimin protests as she begins to blush. "Fuck no! Don't listen to him."

"It's true, Minjeong!" Jaemin continues to tease. "I've heard it!"

"Just because you heard it doesn't mean I like it," Jimin defends and goes to punch Jaemin in the arm again. "Quit being annoying!"

"Isn't it so funny how worked up she gets about this shit?" Jaemin laughs as he rubs his arm. "Totally worth getting punched."

Minjeong just cracks up as she pumps the cocktail shaker. The sound of ice rapidly hitting the sides of the shaker have Jaemin and Jimin settling down. Jimin knows Jaemin's just watching the show – more importantly the face – and Jimin can't help but be a little curious too.

You know, for science.

When Jimin glances, she's surprised to see Minjeong's already staring back at her. There's a newfound darkness in those brown eyes and it has Jimin's breath hitching at the way they concentrate on her and only her.

"Now respectfully...that's a good face," Jaemin compliments with a nod.

Once again, Jimin would have to agree.

But she can't quite say that, can she? That would be crossing the line a little, right? Then again, if Jaemin can get away with it why can't she?

When Minjeong begins to smirk in that irresistibly mischievous way, Jimin figures she might know the reason why.

Jaemin might be looking respectfully, but Jimin is not. The drunken thoughts that are clouding her judgment are far from respectful. In fact, if she didn't still possess the tiny ounce of self-control then right about now would be her breaking point.

Because right about now she would be in one of these dark rooms – the bathroom or a free bedroom, hell maybe even a closet whichever she makes it to first! And she'd have Minjeong pressed against a wall with her hand down those jeans.

Or maybe she would've said fuck the jeans and get rid of them completely, pulling them down Minjeong's gloriously long legs all slow and meticulous? Maybe right about now, she'd be on her knees instead and she'd have Minjeong's thighs wrapped around her? Her hand would be working tirelessly, or maybe she would just go straight to using her tongue? Maybe she'd even use both?

Whatever Minjeong wants, Jimin would happily give.

And working Minjeong up like that, getting her as hot and bothered as she's made her feel countless times before, that would be the best part about it all. To hear all her little sounds – the moans, the whimpers, the way she might call out her name when she finally lets Minjeong fall?

Because that's what she really wants her to say...

Or maybe she'd keep up the teasing? Maybe she wouldn't let her fall until she's begging for it? She'd have Minjeong gripping the back of her head, riding Jimin just chasing after her release. Maybe Jimin would give in to her because those breathy pleas are too hot to resist? Maybe she'd just—

"Damn, you're right!" Jaemin cheers as he takes a sip.

Jimin stiffens – apparently Minjeong's finished making her special cocktail and apparently Jimin's mind is gone.

"This is good shit!" Jaemin goes on.

Jimin blinks, trying to focus on his words but everything seems to feel fuzzy and blurry. All that seems to be in focus is Minjeong standing between them, staring back at her.

"Taste?" She offers but the way the word falls from pretty pink lips like that is almost criminal.

Jimin only leans forward, letting Minjeong guide the cup to her lips.

Their eyes never leave each other's, and it's intimate – way too intimate – but Jimin can't help herself now. She wraps her hand around Minjeong's wrist to steady herself but it triggers a memory they don't even share together: a memory of desperately guided hands to throbbing center and soaked fingertips.

When the liquid finally greets Jimin's tongue, she's too preoccupied with her thoughts that she can't place the taste. All she knows is that it's good, great even, possibly the best she's ever had.

Or maybe she's projecting?

Because her eyes travel away from Minjeong's and settle on her lips and suddenly the cocktail isn't the only thing that stokes her buzz. Even though she knows what Minjeong's lips taste like already, what's stopping her from needing a reminder or asking for seconds? Thirds? Fourths?

Not a damn thing, really.

It's all too much and Jimin's willpower is shaking like a leaf on a tree.

"Good?" Minjeong asks softly as she pulls the cup away.

All Jimin can do is nod.

"Well," Minjeong hum as she turns away to rinse out the shaker. There's a lighter tone in place of the previous one that gives Jimin whiplash. "That only made two cups so you can have this one and I'll make something different for myself."

As she goes, Jimin's speechless and just stares in the space Minjeong once occupied.

What the hell just happened? Did she make the entire thing up or was Minjeong flirting with her? And not just for show either because Jaemin's the only one around and he knows their little secret already.

No, this was deliberate teasing – it has to be. Minjeong was playing with her and if there's one thing Jimin won't be beaten at, it's a game. Or was it an invitation? Was Minjeong just pressing her buttons to see how far she could go before Jimin breaks? Does she want her to break? If she didn't then why play the game in the first place? Jimin's a ball of fire and if Minjeong's wanting to play then she must be okay with getting burned, right?

Right?!

While Minjeong busies herself by the kitchen sink, Jimin's head and heart battle it out to fill in the blanks. Something else attempts to weigh in too though; something kept dormant and tamed and that something votes to abandon all the rules and just go for it.

Or rather, go at it.

The nearest room or the closest comfortable surface – just fucking do it already! That something grows louder and leaves places throbbing as an agonizing reminder of what's gone months without being sated.

What Jimin doesn't expect though is to see Jaemin eyeing her curiously from across the counter.

Jimin stares right back and it almost works to settle all her feuding feelings – almost. It seems like the longer they stare at each other, the faster the dots start to connect.

When Jaemin realizes, his eyes widen.

"Jimin..." He goes to chastise.

"I won't."

Jaemin stares at her a little longer, "Seriously."

"I won't," She assures him but even she doesn't know how much weight there is in her words.

Another hour later and Jimin finds out pretty quickly what happens when Minjeong makes it to her sixth drink – things get a little chaotic. Jimin's not certain if that number is even accurate considering Minjeong's the one apparently keeping track of it when she can barely keep track of where her shirt's gone.

Because that happened.

It happened so damn fast, Jimin nearly blacked out at the sight of Minjeong clad in just her jeans and bra bopping around on the dancefloor without a care in the world. Thankfully, Jaemin wasn't too far behind them and was able to catch the top before it landed in the pool which was where Minjeong was aiming.

"Damnit Minjeong, quit it!" Jaemin laughs. "I'm not catching the next one."

"Give it here," Jimin chuckles.

Once Jaemin hands it over, she tucks a corner deep into Minjeong's back pocket for safekeeping. Minjeong wiggles her butt at the touch and Jimin pinches her lightly in return.

"Quit throwing your clothes around, Minjeong," Jimin says. "You'll lose it for real and then you'll get cold."

"No I won't," Minjeong protests. "I'm hot-blooded!"

Jimin only shakes her head and laughs as Minjeong starts to dance again.

Apparently sixth drink Minjeong likes taking her top off. Which any other time would be perfectly fine, but Jimin's already having a hard time as it is keeping a hand on the wheel. Being tempted by Minjeong – who has the body of an actual goddess – is just plain mean.

But at the same time, Jimin loves seeing this side of Minjeong– this carefree, happy-go-lucky, wonderfully topless, drunken beauty. After the week the poor girl had, Jimin's just glad this was a little light at the end of her tunnel. It actually makes her happy that she could help Minjeong out like this. She may still be working on being the perfect fake girlfriend, but she at least knows how to have a good time as a friend.

After another couple of songs, Jimin notices Jaemin has slipped away yet again. She wonders if it's the same girl as before or someone different. She's a little envious of him considering the intensifying throb she's trying to ignore.

She stays put though, because where she is which isn't so bad. She's got a beautiful girl grinding against her, hands wandering and tugging, fingertips grazing the hem of her dress. It's not helping at all, but she'll take what she can get. The more she drinks, the less she thinks and soon enough she's lost again; lost in Minjeong's soft touch, lost in the scent of her, lost in the feel of her lips on her neck.

Lips. On. Her. Neck.

Jimin's hands find Minjeong's hips and there's just the barest of squeezes. It's like some part of her grabs the reigns again at the last minute. It's like a warning, a reminder to not get carried away because if Minjeong starts something, Jimin might just finish it.

Jimin can feel the moment Minjeong pulls away and instantly regrets the decision. And maybe it's her waning willpower at it again, but Jimin turns in Minjeong's embrace just to check that she hasn't pushed her away too far.

She can see that she hasn't because there are those darkened brown eyes again staring down at her. Minjeong's cheeks are a little flushed and her chest heaves – from all the dancing or something deeper, Jimin doesn't know but there's a noticeable tension.

Now Jimin's heart starts to race. Her breath quickens in suspense, in anticipation.

"Gotta pee," Minjeong suddenly tells her.

"Oh," Jimin is taken aback and shakes away the clouded thoughts. It feels like all the air has been let out of a balloon and she tucks her hair behind her ear awkwardly. "Uh, I think I know where the bathroom is."

"Can you take me there?"

"Sure," Jimin nods and turns towards the house. She reaches back for Minjeong's hand so they don't get separated in the crowd before leading the way inside.

The living room is a lot darker than when they arrived earlier and the scent of alcohol is strong. Nearly every space is occupied by a couple getting very handsy too. Jimin wonders if Jaemin's somewhere in the mix, but she rather not stand around looking for the answer. Instead, she keeps Minjeong close behind her as she heads towards the stairs.

With her extensive party experience, most people are too drunk to make it to the upstairs bathroom so it's always a lot cleaner than the ones downstairs. She's just hoping that she'll find it unoccupied by the time they get there and no one's passed out on the bathroom floor or hiding out in the tub.

When they get to the door, Jimin's relieved to find the small room empty. She flicks on the light and checks behind the shower curtain just to make sure though. Minjeong doesn't need to be interrupted by some dumbasses making out in a tub.

"Clear?" Minjeong asks as she leans against the door frame, watching Jimin with a playful grin.

Jimin blushes when she realizes she might be taking things a bit too seriously and relaxes. "Yeah, it's clear. I'll just wait outside the door."

Minjeong nods and they switch places before she's closing the door behind her.

While Jimin waits patiently in the small hallway, she looks around at all the closed doors and wonders if anyone's behind them. When she hears the faint sounds of moaning, she scrunches her nose – she didn't actually want that question answered.

She reaches for her phone next for a distraction, wondering how late it must be. It feels like they just got here an hour ago, but she sees that it's actually after 3 in the morning.

She also sees that there's a text there from Jaemin telling her he's gone home with someone a bit ago and to not wait up. She rolls her eyes at all the ridiculous emojis that ends the text before replying with a reminder to be safe because the world is not ready for little Jaemin's.

She giggles to herself as she sends the text off and goes back to waiting but when a few more silent minutes go by, Jimin begins to wonder.

"Minjeong?" She calls out as she taps at the door. "You okay?"

Jimin listens for a reply or the sound of water or a flush, but there's nothing – only silence. It's a little worrying; what if she's sick? What if she's fallen in? So Jimin turns and reaches for the knob.

"Minjeong? I'm—"

Suddenly the door opens and in an instant Minjeong surprises Jimin by pulling her in. It all happens in such a smooth transition and before Jimin knows it, she's being pressed against the closed bathroom door.

She can hear the surprised little whimper that leaves her just a moment before Minjeong's mouth is on hers. She's actually thankful for the door, because if it wasn't there she might just melt into the floorboards.

There's a warm hand against Jimin's cheek, guiding her to kiss Minjeong back just as deeply and Jimin's all too eager to relent. A gin-soaked tongue swipes at Jimin's bottom lip, asking for entry and Jimin welcomes it too.

With her hands gripping at Minjeong's sides, her soft skin so hot to the touch, Jimin struggles to match the blonde's feverish pace. These drunken kisses are far different than the soft and gentle ones Jimin's used to – but she's complaining. There's something even more arousing when there's this kind of desperation, this need, this hunger...

Jimin can't even think straight or properly process what's happening. All she focuses on is the way Minjeong's lips glide against hers. The way Minjeong's hand starts venturing down the back of Jimin's dress, tugging at the hem much like she did on the dancefloor. How she nips at Jimin's bottom lip before soothing it with another swipe of her tongue. The way Minjeong has her reduced to this trembling mess.

This is it, this is the point of no return for Jimin.

She either puts an end to this or gives up all resolution completely. Really, there's only one of those two choices that she actually wants to do but it conflicts with what's right – what she should do.

The right thing is a lot easier said than done though because Jimin hasn't let many girls take control. With Minjeong, she finds a little pleasure in handing over the upper hand for once. With Minjeong, she doesn't mind being the one pinned against a bathroom door.

And although she doesn't mind it, she's also way too curious to let Minjeong have all the fun.

She wants to know if all of those things she thought before are true. She wants to know if she can build Minjeong up in all the ways she knows how. She wants to know what she sounds like when she's on the brink. She wants to feel Minjeong around her fingers and she wants to know what she tastes like. She wants to know everything.

But that doesn't mean she should...

"Minjeong," Jimin mumbles against wanting lips as the brakes are pulled.

There's a muffled, "Hmm?" followed by a hand reaching her breast.

Jimin nearly forgets her train of thought at the feel. God, it's been ages since she's been touched like this. Why can't it go on for a little while longer? Why's it got to end?

The way Minjeong touches her has Jimin's knees shaking and those brakes before start to slip again.

"Shit," Jimin curses at her conflicting thoughts. She can feel Minjeong smile against her jaw and that makes it even harder to stop but she knows she has to because... because?

Because boundaries and rules and...friends.

Friends.

Fake dating.

Can't fuck this up.

"Wait Minjeong," Jimin pulls back a little more as she reaches for Minjeong's wrist to pause her motions. "Just...wait."

She watches as lust-filled eyes begin to soften in the slightest. There's a quiet moment where it's nothing but them staring back at each other, heavy breathing and hair mussed. Minjeong's lips are a kiss-swollen dark pink and her abs tense every time she exhales. Jimin has to meet her gaze again so she isn't tempted to continue.

It's there that they have this unspoken conversation. There's still that desperation, a pleading look, but it's different this time. It's not brought on by a drunken haze, but rather a fleeting moment of clarity.

What are we doing?

"Right," Minjeong nods but she looks as if she's still caught in a daze. There's a little chuckle followed by blushing cheeks and another nod. "Okay.

"Okay," Jimin repeats. She moves to fix Minjeong's hair before cupping her cheek, their eyes meeting again. "Should we go?"

Minjeong nods, "Yeah."

"Okay," Jimin smiles before biting her lip. "We'll go."

On the cab ride back to Jimin's, Minjeong falls asleep on her shoulder. She's fully clothed again, softly snoring and Jimin hates that she has to wake her once they arrive at her place.

There's a gentle nudge before Minjeong sleepily comes to and sits up.

"We're here," Jimin tells her.

Minjeong only nods and follows Jimin out of the cab. The longer she walks, the more awake she seems and Jimin eyes her cautiously – wondering if she's the kind of drunk that makes out with friends and forgets or if she remembers everything. It's not a conversation she wants to have right this second, but she can't lie and say it's not on her mind.

Once they get to Jimin's door, Jimin reaches around for her keys – only to discover that she doesn't have them. She never did.

"Oh fuck," Jimin facepalms.

"What's wrong?"

"Jaemin has my keys," Jimin replies as she gets out her phone. "I'll just call him. Maybe he's home already?"

When the call goes straight to voicemail, Jimin feels like an even bigger idiot.

"Shit!" She curses a little more forcefully.

"I could climb through your window again?" Minjeong jokes lightly. She's resting against the wall and her eyes are half-lidded and tired.

"I've locked it since you did that," Jimin frowns as she tries calling Jaemin again.

"You don't have a spare hidden?"

"We lost it the last time we got locked out."

Minjeong taps her chin, "We could go to mine?"

Jimin ponders that but shakes her head, "I don't think I could walk that far."

"True," Minjeong agrees before turning to look over the lock. "Let me try something."

"Go for it," Jimin waves her off as she continues blowing up Jaemin's phone. "Answer your phone, Jaemin!"

"Just don't get mad at me if I break something?" Minjeong mentions.

Jimin chuckles, "I won't."

"Okay cool," Minjeong grins before getting to work with a couple bobby pins she pulls from her back pocket.

Jimin watches curiously as Minjeong kneels before the door.

Her hair curtains the side of her face and she keeps blowing loose strands away from tickling her nose. There's a kind of concentration on Minjeong's face as her fingers delicately work the bobby pins into the keyhole and Jimin watches in wonder, finally abandoning her calls to Jaemin.

It only takes a few more minutes before they both hear a click and Minjeong's pushing open the unlocked door.

"Well that was kind of hot," Jimin compliments only somewhat jokingly. "Why are you so good at everything?"

Minjeong lifts her shoulder casually, "Jealous?"

"More like impressed," Jimin smirks. "I didn't think the bobby pin thing actually worked."

"Same," Minjeong replies as they make their way in. "I got bored one day. Thought I'd test the theory. It doesn't always work."

"Guess we got lucky," Jimin chuckles.

"Guess we did," Minjeong grins before holding up her ruined bobby pins. "You owe me though."

"I'll get you a whole new pack, don't you worry."

Minjeong giggles and then they find themselves awkwardly standing before each other in silence. Back in the cab, Minjeong had fallen asleep before she could even give the driver her address and Jimin doesn't know it by heart so here they are.

And she wouldn't be overthinking it if Jaemin was here, but he's not and knowing they have the house to themselves after what went on in that bathroom at Johnny's place... Jimin's feeling a little stressed.

"I can head home now," Minjeong offers almost as if she can sense what Jimin's thinking.

"It's nearly 5 am," Jimin shakes her head. "I can't let you go walking out there alone like that."

"I'm usually going for a run at this time," Minjeong replies dismissively. "It's fine."

Minjeong going on morning runs is news to Jimin but it still doesn't sit well with her so she shakes her head again.

"You can have my bed," Jimin offers and nods to the couch. "I'll sleep out here."

Minjeong tilts her head to the side, "Really? You'd give up your bed?"

"Yeah," Jimin shrugs. "I won't be on the floor so it's whatever, unless you have that thing against getting in my bed still."

Minjeong rolls her eyes, "It's fine when you're not in it."

"Right," Jimin smirks. "I know how you like your space."

It seems like a silly joke to make considering just an hour ago Minjeong's tongue was in her mouth, but hey – Jimin always resorts to joking about it when she's feeling nervous and sleeping arrangements always makes her feel a little uncertain.

"Alright then," Minjeong relents. "I'm too tired to argue anyway."

"Same," Jimin agrees and leads the way to her room for something they can both change in.

They move around each other in a similar fashion that they do while they're in Lima, taking turns in Jimin's bathroom to get changed and ready for bed. Thankfully Jimin has a couple spare toothbrushes under her sink so she can offer one to Minjeong.

"Here's a water and some pain killers," Jimin sets down on her nightstand while Minjeong gets comfortable in her bed. It's a weird sight to see, Minjeong in her bed and in her clothes but she doesn't linger on it.

"Thanks," Minjeong replies and pops the pills in her mouth and gulps them down with some water.

"Alright. Well," Jimin starts backing out of her room. "I'll see you in the morning. I mean, technically it's already morning I guess."

Minjeong chuckles, "Good morning then."

"Yeah. Good morning," Jimin laughs too and goes to close the door after her. She hesitates for a moment, wondering if she could've said something better before she just forgets it and moves to the couch.
It's been a very eventful day and she could use the sleep to get herself back in order.

She ends up waking a few hours later because she's dying for the toilet. She considers using Jaemin's so she doesn't disturb Minjeong, but who knows what kind of condition his is in. She grosses herself out just thinking about it so she bites the bullet and sneaks into her room.

Minjeong's still sound asleep, head nestled on Jimin's pillow and hands tucked under her chin.

She's kind of cute, Jimin thinks, as she heads for the bathroom. She's just hoping she's not a light sleeper because she did not think about the sound of the toilet flushing possibly being a problem.

But she says a little prayer and pushes down the handle anyway before going to wash her hands. Thankfully though, Minjeong continues to snooze soundly.

Jimin smiles at that and quietly makes her way out of the room just in time for Jaemin to spot her as he's just now coming home. She knows she's got that deer caught in the headlights kind of look on her face and it instantly gives her away.

Jaemin gasps followed by a disbelieving smile on his face, "You said you wouldn't!"

"I didn't!"

"Bullshit," Jaemin suspects as Jimin heads further into the living room. "I see you sneaking out of there."

This time Jimin gasps at the accusation, "I was just going to the bathroom."

"Bathroom," Jaemin uses air quotes. "I can't believe this."

"Calm down," Jimin dismisses. "It was just a sleepover."

"I know what you call them," Jaemin challenges and goes to shake her head. "You've done corrupted poor, innocent Minjeong."

"She is not that innocent," Jimin mutters under her breath.

"I should've known," Jaemin continues to pace and rant. "It was only a matter of time. You can't keep your hands to yourself to save your life."

Jimin scoffs as she goes back to her makeshift bed, "Uh rude. I did keep my hands to myself. It was Minjeong that put the moves on me."

Jaemin's jaw drops and his eyes light up, "Really? I was just fucking with you! Did she actually?"

Jimin pinches the bridge of her nose. She can't believe she took his stupid bait and now she's just digging herself an even deeper hole!

"Fuck me," She groans. "It is too damn early for this, I've only had like two minutes of sleep..."

Jaemin ignores all of that and joins her on the couch, all giddy with excitement.

"So like, is she into you or something?" He asks.

"I don't know," Jimin shrugs him off although she's starting to wonder the same. "Maybe?" She hesitates and the doubt starts creeping in. She ends up shaking her head at the thought, "Probably not though."

"No?"

"No," Jimin replies sternly before trying to explain herself. "Because it was just a thing that happened in the moment. We were drunk and got carried away. It's not like it's the first time I've made out with a random at a party."

"You guys made out?!" Jaemin gasps loudly.

Jimin's quick to throw her pillow at his head, "Shut the hell up, Jaemin. She's asleep still!"

Jaemin's just beside himself now though as he hugs Jimin's pillow against his chest and starts rocking back and forth.

"This is so big," He tells her.

"It's really not that serious," Jimin lies.

"What do you mean?" Jaemin challenges. "You didn't make out with some random, you made out with Minjeong. The girl you've spent all this time hating on and here you are swapping spit with her. It's big."

"Oh gross," Jimin cringes. "Never say that again. It makes it sound way less hot."

"So it was hot too?"

"I'm done talking to you for the entire rest of the day," Jimin grumbles.

"You can't just tell me this kind of shit and expect me not to ask questions!"

"We're two very attractive, clearly sexually frustrated people – use your imagination," She thinks about what she's just said and shakes her head. "On second thought, don't do that. I don't want you thinking about us."

"Well then tell me..."

"No," She says as she steals back her pillow from him. "Now get off my blanket. I'm going back to sleep."

Jaemin doesn't move as he continues to wrap his head around all this new information. "Fuck, where the hell was I when all this was happening? Not that I'd want to watch or anything but I mean I definitely would...but like respectfully. You know?"

Jimin doesn't respond, just lays back down and tries finding her happy place. "My head is killing me, I'm tired as hell and you're just yapping away," She groans.

Jaemin softens his voice, "I just wasn't expecting this turn of events. You guys aren't supposed to actually like each other."

"We don't."

"This is so –"

"Fucked up? I know."

"That's...not what I was going to say," Jaemin frowns. "What I was going to say is maybe I'm a matchmaking guru or something?"

"You're not."

"But – "

"Look," Jimin cuts him off. "We were both drinking pretty heavily and alcohol makes you do dumb shit. Okay? After the week she had and the bullshit with Jake earlier, she was probably feeling a little...lonely." Jimin thinks about what she's just said and nods, continuing to make sense of the night out loud. "Yeah, she was just feeling lonely. She probably came onto me because I was the closest one to her and like...who wouldn't want to make out with me?"

"Wow."

"But that's all it was. Just a drunken make-out sesh, it's not like it was some great awakening or this realization or anything like that. She doesn't have feelings for me," Jimin says although her head quickly fills with questions. "She doesn't. I mean, what about Jake? What's all this for if not for him?"

Jaemin looks stumped and Jimin is too if she's being honest. But he's first to doubt her explanation.

"It doesn't seem like he's on her mind much lately if she's going around making out with you," Jaemin says. "You said it yourself that she was over his bullshit..."

Jimin falters on her stance, maybe Jaemin has a point? Maybe Minjeong might—

No, that's ridiculous! Jimin was just a warm body, just like she always is. Nothing else.

"That's not what I meant. I don't know what's going on with them," Jimin replies firmly. "But Minjeong and I are just...we're still just friends. Friends who are in this fake relationship together and last night was just us letting off some built up steam."

"Built up steam?"

"Yeah," Jimin huffs. "And now that it's out of our system we don't need to hash it out anymore."

Jaemin watches Jimin for a moment before asking, "You never think about it though? You and her? What could happen?"

Jimin feels her whole body tense as her heart rate quickens. She hates this feeling of being under a microscope, completely see-through and vulnerable.

"Why would I want to do that?" Jimin replies.

This time Jaemin is the one to falter, "I don't know. Last night, I thought I saw something going on between you two. You guys were like...vibing."

"That would be the alcohol," Jimin dismisses. "There's nothing there."

She feels an odd twinge in her chest as the words leave her, but she can't take them back now. She can't lose the only control she has left and she knows Minjeong's closing in on it. She also knows what happens when she gives it away and she can't have that happen again.

"Really?"

"God, yes! The plan is still the plan," Jimin tells him. "Do you even have a plan?"

"Of course I have a plan," Jimin lies but she's quick on her feet. "We turn in our assignment and break up before the wedding. There's less of a chance that my family will give me shit if I'm supposedly heartbroken. Plus no one will judge me if I hook up with anyone, they'll just think it's a rebound."

Jaemin stares back at her, "Does Minjeong know about this?"

Jimin's just about to answer when her bedroom door creaks.

"Do I know about what?" Minjeong asks as she sleepily rubs at her eyes.

Jaemin notices the flash of fear in Jimin's eyes just before she masks it with a deflection.

"Great, you woke her up," Jimin chastises.

"Sorry Minjeong," Jaemin apologizes before looking to Jimin. He quietly says, "I'm going to take that as a no though."

"Fuck off," Jimin grumbles and pushes him off the couch with her feet.

"Why are you guys up so early?" Minjeong notes the time with and frowns. "Or so late? Time's weird."

"This is against my will," Jimin replies as she still glares at Jaemin. "That one woke me when he got in."

"Sorry. Just wanting everyone to know I got laid," Jaemin grins as he flexes. "Several times."

Jimin groans as she slumps back against her pillows, "Ugh! No one asked."

"Don't care!" Jaemin jokes. "And on that note, I'm going to sleep. Later!"

"Finally," Jimin sighs.

She goes to get comfortable, but notices Minjeong still lingering by the end of the couch looking a little unsure. For a moment, she wonders how much she heard but Jimin figures she's too sleepy and hungover to really register it. At least, that's what she's hoping.

"You can keep sleeping if you want?" Jimin says. "You still look pretty tired."

"Yeah, but I should get home," Minjeong shifts from side to side. "I haven't finished packing for our trip and we have our flight today..."

"It's a late one this time so don't stress," Jimin reminds her. "You can have my room a little longer if you want. Up to you, I'm going back to sleep though."

Minjeong hesitates a moment before nodding, "Okay. Just a little while longer though."

Jimin only smiles, admiring how Minjeong looks in Jimin's cheer camp top and shorts. She's never been one to notice the little things like that with other girls, but she finds herself noticing now. She doesn't comment on it though, just nods and watches Minjeong tiptoe back into her room.

She tries settling her mind again so she can fall back asleep, but nothing seems to work. Jaemin has inadvertently sowed a seed of doubt and Jimin doesn't know what to make of it. All she knows is that this flight later is going to be an interesting one.

Whether that's good or bad, she'll just have to wait and see.
