The wind softly brushed by as the moon made its way up toward the sky. The gathering place went almost silent beside the quiet whispers. All the leader were propped up on their trees, while the HedgeClan tree was empty, and all the deputies stayed below.

The leader that spoke was beautiful, her reddish-brown fur was neatly groomed to her body and her white tipped tail was slashing slowly behind her. Her yellow eyes glowed as the moonlight reflected off them. "I welcome every cat here today on this fine night," she began.

"Who's that?" Honeypaw whispered to Eaglepaw.

Eaglepaw twitched her ears. "It's Berrystar from TreeClan and the other leader is my leader, Dewstar," she replied.

"This moon has been plentiful for TreeClan. We have been collecting tons of prey and our borders are always protected, like always," she went on, glancing at the other leaders. "Though, I happen to smell some MossClan scent on our borders."

She could hear MossClan cats yowling in protest. When did MossClan cross borders?

Stripestar stomped his paw on his branch and it made it rock ever so slightly. "No MossClan cat I heard has been walking on your filthy land," her leader spat. She hadn't realized her leader was this aggressive at gatherings.

Berrystar smirked. "Then how about you ask your little apprentice down there that my warrior saw walking on our territory."

Honeypaw couldn't really see, but it looked as if she was pointing to. . . Goldenpaw? Was Goldenpaw walking on TreeClan territory?

Stripestar looked down to Goldenpaw, his eyes filled with anger and worry. "Goldenpaw, is this true? Have you been wandering on TreeClan territory?"

The gathering went quiet all you could hear was Goldenpaw. "I—It was an accident, I swear on StarClan I didn't mean it!" she pleaded.

Cats muttered through the crowd.

Stripestar looked over to Berrystar who looked down to the apprentice mischievously. "Very well, but if I happen to see any more cats walking on TreeClan territory then they shall be punished."

Cats from MossClan and FlowerClan exchanged nervous glances, though, the gathering continued. Berrystar stepped away as Dewstar stepped forward. His dark, cinnamon colored fur was a little patchy and ruffled and his green eyes looked weary.

"FlowerClan has been doing well, we now have kits on the way, Heatherwind is pregnant with Gooseheart's kits."

Happy cheers spread throughout the Clan. Neither cats were probably at the gathering.

"That is all I have to say," Dewstar rasped as he stepped back. There was something off about Dewstar, and even his Clan. Eaglepaw even seemed tired for some odd reason.

Stripestar was the last to step forward. "MossClan has been doing amazing, there is tons of prey. Oh, and we have two new apprentices, Honeypaw and Goldenpaw."

The gathering cheered their names as they looked at her and her sister. She stood taller to make it seem she wasn't very small, which she really wasn't.

"I think that is all for this gathering, please enjoy talking with each other. MossClan is to be leaving soon," Stripestar added.

The gathering became busy again as cats walked around, talking to each other.

Honeypaw looked at Eaglepaw. "I wonder if Icepaw is coming back," she joked.

Eaglepaw flicked her tail as Icepaw padded over with another cat, which was probably her brother, Sootpaw. "Sorry about that, I couldn't find him and then the gathering started," she apologized.

Sootpaw dipped his head. "Hello Eaglepaw," he glanced over to her. "You must be Honeypaw."

Honeypaw nodded. "That's me!"

Then the three cats began talking and it hit her. She needed to ask these cats about HedgeClan. "Hey uhm, I have a question for all of you."

The three cats looked at her.

"Well, have any of you heard about HedgeClan?" she asked.

The cats exchanged surprised glances.

Sootpaw was the first to respond. "Well, of course we do. It's a legend, almost every cat knows about it."

Honeypaw nodded. "Yes, but do you know if any of the cats are still around? Or where they are?" She already knew almost of what she was asking, but she wanted to ask the others.

Icepaw gave her a hard stare. "Possibly, but we aren't positive. I doubt any cats are left, it's most likely impossible."

Honeypaw sighed and scrapped the grass with her paws. If only there was a way to find out... "Have you seen any suspicious cats outside the Clans?" she prompted.

Eaglepaw gave a slight nod toward Icepaw. "Well, there're many cats outside the Clans, we can't be sure they used to be apart of HedgeClan."

Sootpaw interrupted the conversation unexpectedly. "Honeypaw, have you heard of the prophecy? Of the two sisters?"

Honeypaw narrowed her eyes, how much did these cats know? "I— yes..." she admitted.

"We think you and Goldenpaw have some sort of connection toward the prophecy, there's no way it's a coincidence. The prophecy was founded right when you two became kits."

Honeypaw stared in horror. "Surely not...?"

Sootpaw sighed. "Honeypaw, we're sure you wouldn't do any harm, but if you were apart of the prophecy then perhaps you should be careful. This is a prophecy, they always come true. You and Goldenpaw will most likely bring a destruction to the forest."

Honeypaw gasped, he was right. All prophecy's came true. She and Goldenpaw could potentially be dangerous. "Can we somehow prevent it?" she asked, she felt numb.

"Conceivably," Eaglepaw said. "What if you were to act worse than Goldenpaw. What if you made her feel better about herself, she wouldn't be so jealous. She might then stop thinking you are a terrible littermate. The prophecy might not happen."

Honeypaw smirked, that was genius. All she had to do was pretend she was worse at hunting, fighting, ECT, whereas Goldenpaw was amazing. Goldenpaw would get the attention she always wanted and soon wouldn't hate her. "That's a great idea, Eaglepaw!"

Eaglepaw shrugged. "I'm so smart, I know," she snickered.

As she said that, FlowerClan's leader, Dewstar, shouted across the gathering place. "FlowerClan, it is time we leave." he bellowed, leaping down from the tree, his Clan gathering behind.

Eaglepaw flicked her tail. "Maybe I'll see you guys at the next gathering! Good luck, Honeypaw!"

Honeypaw purred, "thanks!"

Eaglepaw walked away with her Clan, her body slowly disappearing from her sight as she dispersed into the medley of pelt colors.

Icepaw yawned, "I'm going to quickly talk to Rainpaw, catch you sometime, Honeypaw."

The she-cat, too, ran off, leaving her and Sootpaw standing beside each other.

"I hope the prophecy isn't true," Sootpaw bleated. "There hasn't been a prophecy in moons, from what i've heard. Honestly, we thought it was Eaglepaw and Icepaw considering how close they were, but nope, it wasn't."

Honeypaw nodded. "Me too," she fretted.

Honeypaw took a deep look at Sootpaw, his ash-gray fur brushed in the wind and his brown eyes provoked kindness and thoughtfulness. She could tell the tom was going to be a great warrior some day. He looked strong yet the perfect size, just like TreeClan was supposed to look like, to climb trees, unlike MossClan.

"Hey, Honeypaw?" he groaned.

Honeypaw blinked, hoping he didn't notice her looking at him. "Yeah?"

Sootpaw gulped. "About HedgeClan, well, we sort of—"

He was interrupted by the call of Stripestar. "MossClan, time to leave," he stammered. "Come now."

Honeypaw sighed and looked at Sootpaw one last time. She dipped her head. "Good-bye Sootpaw, maybe I'll see you next gathering."

Sootpaw nodded.

She twisted back toward the way they entered the gathering. She had stayed at her first gathering, met new apprentices, and learned and little more about HedgeClan and the prophecy. Now all she needed to do was make sure she used Eaglepaw's plan wisely.

But then she thought, what was Sootpaw going to say?
