|| TWENTY FOUR ||

3 days had already passed and Jin still did not mention anything about what happened.

After Jin left that night, bringing the empty plates, Jimin and Yoongi continued on where they left off. And of course, Jimin went back to his own room before 11:30 came around.

If Jimin was to be honest with himself, he really expected to hear an endless rant from Jin the next morning, but surprisingly, there was none. In fact, Jin went on the whole day as if nothing happened.

As if he did not catch Jimin and Yoongi doing some frickle and frackle.

The next day was the same, with Jin pretending nothing had happened.

Jimin had asked Yoongi if Jin said anything to him and according to Yoongi, their hyung was just the same and never mentioned anything.

It's not like any of them wanted to ask Jin why anyway, both of them would rather have Jin forgetting everything than be reprimanded by monster momma Jin.

The day after that, it was still the same.

And so now, Jimin felt relieved.

Today, they were having stage practices for a special intermission performance in another awarding ceremony. There was still some other boy group using the stage so BTS was standing beside the stage, waiting for their turn.

Jimin busied himself by stretching his arms and doing some of the moves to prepare his body for the long practices. He was in the middle of doing the 'crab' move in Fire when all of a sudden, somebody stepped into his personal space, casting a shadow over him.

The person stepped creepily close that the sudden movement startled Jimin and made him jump.

"Jimin," the person said with a suspicious smile.

"J-Jin hyung! You scared me!" Jimin exclaimed, one hand clutching his chest.

"Sorry, Jimin. I see that you're...practicing," Jin said with a very calm tone, still wearing that highly disturbing smile.

Jimin gulped.

What could Jin be needing from him?

The younger boy stepped away a bit, feeling intimidated by Jin's height. "What do you need, hyung?"

Jin smiled again. The smile was so calm that it scared Jimin.

"Oh nothing," Jin said as he slung his arm over Jimin's shoulder. "Umma just wanted to talk to the oldest maknae."

Talk?!

"W-wait hyung...b-but how about our practice...?"

Jin waved his hand in dismissal. "Manager-nim said that the scheds got mixed up and so we still need to wait for two hours. He even told us that we could go back to our dressing room."

Jimin smiled uneasily. Would Jin be scolding him?

"O-oh...ahahaha a-alright..."

"Let's head to the building canteen then, it's good to talk with food around. I saw a strawberry shortcake when I passed by!" Jin said excitedly, dragging a reluctant Jimin.

When they arrived, Jin immediately ordered and chose a table settled in a corner where no one could possibly disturb or hear them. Jimin was definitely in trouble now.

He just wished that Jin would take pity on him and be gentle. Maybe Jimin should act cute? Ugh, but that thing won't work on Jin. The guy simply thought that he's the cutest in the world. Tsk tsk, narcissistic Seokjin.

"So Jimin," Jin started as he sat down across Jimin. "How are you today?"

"Err...fine?"

Jin nodded while eating the shortcake. "I saw you and Yoongi going out of the bathroom together this morning," the older said nonchalantly.

Jimin gasped. "Hyung! What are you even implying? I was just washing my face while Yoongi was brushing his teeth!"

"Alright then," Jin replied with a shrug. "How's your voice lessons?"

"It's fine..."

"Mmm, good good. How about your dance practices?"

"Hyung," Jimin said with a sigh. "Let's stop this small talk, shall we? If you want to bark at me for what I've done, it's fine, go ahead."

Jin looked indignant. "I'm not a dog Jimin, I'm not here to bark at you. In fact, it's quite the opposite."

And slowly smiling, Jin continued, "I'm hear to listen, Jimin."

"What do you mean?" Jimin asked skeptically.

Jin sighed. "What's really going on between you and Yoongi?"

I don't even know too, hyung.

Jimin looked away and nervously tapped his fingers on the table. "What are you talking about?"

"Jimin..."

The younger sighed, finally looking up at his hyung. "I'm honestly confused too, hyung," he said in a sad tone.

And just how Jimin hated how sad he sounded.

"Don't worry, Min. Momma Jin is all ears," the older said with so much determination.

In all honesty, Jimin didn't know what to say. He's just really really confused.

But on the other hand, it felt really good that somebody finally asked him, that somebody actually tried to understand his situation.

The weird thing was, Jimin was also scared.

And he's not sure why.

"Umm..." he started, unsure. "I don't really know where to start hyung..."

Was he scared to talk? Or was he just scared to finally face the situation?

After all, he had been trying hard to put every thought of Yoongi at the back of his mind. He had tried to ignore his feelings. He really did. For so long now.

Oh whatever! He's been keeping this for so so sooo long now and he would probably burst any day now anyway. So why keep it any longer?

And he really just needed to say this out loud.

Jimin raised his eyes to look at Jin's.

"T-truth is, hyung... I just... I don't even know anymore! I don't understand it anymore! Do you understand it, hyung? Because me, I DON'T. My heart goes doki doki whenever he smiles at me. I feel all these weird things in my stomach whenever he smirks. I get chills just by hearing his voice.  And when he touches me...there's this tingling sensation that goes through my spine."

Panting hard, Jimin continued, "One second he makes my heart skip a beat, the next second, he makes my heart beat fast. Good thing I haven't had a heart attack yet! Am I gonna die, hyung? Should I register myself to a mental hospital now?"

Jimin breathed heavily after saying all those words, definitely pouring his heart out.

"Okay, okay. First, I want you to calm down, Jiminie. Here, drink this," Jin said, handing Jimin his cup of coffee.

The younger boy accepted the cup of coffee gratefully and sipped steadily as he watched his hyung take out a notebook and a pen.

Jimin tilted his head in wonder. "What's with the notebook and pen?"

"A psychiatrist needs to take note of his patient," Jin said with a happy smile.

Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. "I don't understand. You're my hyung, and you're also my mom, and now you're my psychiatrist?"

Jin smiled wider. "I live to serve, sir."

"Is this even legal?"

Jin scowled, indignant with what Jimin said. "I'm good at advising and I'm nosy, that should be enough. And don't worry, you can tell me all your thoughts and feelings. I promise I will not judge. Err, maybe I would judge a bit. Maybe a bit more. But the point is, I'll help you sort put your feelings, okay?"

Jimin smiled, feeling really amused at his oldest hyung.

There's a reason why Jin was their mother. Apart from being good at cooking and eating, having an exceptional talent at nagging and waking them up in the morning, his hyung was also very caring and observant, especially when it comes to them, his babies.

"Thanks hyung," Jimin said softly.

Jin blinked, shocked at Jimin's sudden words. "No need to thank me, really. I'm just getting with looking at you two dancing around each other for YEARS NOW."

Positioning his pen over the blank sheet in the notebook, Jin crossed his legs haughtily, meaning business.

"Let's start, then. Jimin, what did you feel for Yoongi before all of this happened?"

Jimin thought deeply. He had always been close to Yoongi, even on the first day they met.

"I really like him as my hyung. I enjoy the fact that he's so grumpy to others and everyone is scared of him, but here I am, freely teasing him and even insulting him when I feel like it. I also like that I'm his favorite dongsaeng. And uh, he smells really nice."

Jin tilted his head. "Namjoon, Hobi, Tae and Kookie are also Yoongi's dongsaengs, but I'm pretty sure they'll all freak out if Yoomgi will kiss them on the lips. So Jimin, why didn't you freak out? Why do you seem to enjoy it even? And lastly, why do you let Yoongi kiss you despite how big a nonsense his reasons are?" His hyung scowled, probably remembering Yoongi's excuse. "I mean, you are practicing how to kiss for the drama?? Like seriously, that's so lame and you still went for it. That's how Dr. Kim Seokjin sees the situation."

Jimkn swallowed nervously. "Wow, this feels like an interrogation. U-umm, I don't know, maybe it's just because I like the feeling of...of kissing him? I really don't k-know, hyung... All I know is that-" Jimin sighed. "Yoongi's lips are very soft. And he...he's really good at kissing. Do you know how his tongue moves along mine? Hyung! It always felt playful and romantic at the same time. And when his hot breaths touch my skin-"

"Um Jimin? I don't really need the details, please, I'm begging. I'd like to fall asleep tonight without dreaming of you two doing...things."

The younger blushed furiously. "Uh, s-sorry hyung. I was not aware that I was talking nonsense already."

"Don't mind that," Jin said.

The older looked at Jimin deeply and said, "But how about this, Jimin. Imagine you're sitting alone on the floor in the dance studio. And then Yoongi suddenly came and sat beside you. You two talked and laughed and all. Now Jimin, if you're in that situation, would you like to kiss him? Not anymore because you had to, not because of the Yoonmin ship, not because you need to practice, but simply because you wanted to. And when he kisses you, would you want that moment to last?"

"Jimin," Jin continued and gazed at Jimin's eyes seriously and grabbed his hands. "What if Yoongi will look at you in the eyes and tell you...and tell you that he loves you? What would you feel? And Jimin, if one day you'll find out that Yoongi already has a girlfriend, would it be fine for you?"

Jimin blinked twice and swallowed heavily, suddenly realizing something.

He shifted his gaze, unable to look at Jin anymore.

No no no, absolutely no. This can't be...this can't be happening to me.

But there's is no doubt to it. Why else would...why else would he feel this- this longing?

Jimin licked his drying lips and looked at Jin miserably. "Hyung...this is bad..."

"What's wrong?" Jin implored, looking honestly worried.

Jimin looked down and stared at his hands.

"I think... I think I'm in love with Yoongi-hyung..."

Jin smiled.

"Finally Jimin, finally. Truth is, that's all what I'm waiting to hear from you."

I love you guys.
