Damian Of House Ariel.
"Father I can't do this, to betray them, bring chaos in the world, haven't we already done enough by giving that demon the two pieces?" Damian demanded as he looked at the image of his father in front of him, he looked worn down and tired, for an arch angel that said something. "Son, we are house Ariel, the other five do not care about us, they care about themselves, we thrive in chaos, and that's why I'm bringing chaos so that we can be great again, do you find it amusing when the mistress of house Lucifer and her children walk all over us as if we were lesser, she has acquired both the north and the south by strategically playing the long game, Killian's first was a girl, second was a son, he'd hoped to get a third son but it was yet again a girl, then Ceres just happened to come into view, she gave him a son, a worthy successor, and to seal her house's future in wealth she have him a second son." Beau spat as he sighed and relaxed back in what seemed to be his office chair whilst Damian thought over his words.
"She's now accepted a mating with the Raziel heir, a perfect plan, she now has three houses who will support her no matter what and I hear the Gabriel heir has taken an interest in one of Lucifer's children, a hunter, if her plans should succeed an alliance will be made, she would've dismantled the houses capable of fighting back if she chose to exercise her power, son—this is not just about us now, it's about the future of our people and our house, Ceres Faith and her revived house are coming for it all, they say a Lucifer never forgets and don't think she will as we supported house Michael in the destruction of her house, this is the only way Damian, we need to find a way to bring chaos, dismantle her house and her alliances, so that we can again find ourselves with suitable alliances for yourself and your brothers." He finished and all Damian wanted was to ignore his father's words.
The man had always been overly suspicious, created scenarios in his head that were sometimes not real but this didn't seem wrong, everything he'd said had happened, but his fear of the mistress —that was irrational, he knew there was something more than just a fleeting fear that would have his father so convinced that Ceres Faith would turn, or was it rather his father himself. "Do as I say boy, once they find and bring back the pieces, open a portal from the coordinates I sent you and the rest will take care of itself." He was ordered and Damian couldn't refuse."Yes father." There was no turning back now, and his betrayal was about to cost lives.
The Vanquishing Of Korva Aftermath
The Past.
Translucent golden light burned brilliantly as Hamish, Selena, Denali, Matteo and Laurie found themselves in the past, it was night time as the moon shined above them, it was so silent and serene yet they could all feel the haunting energy that remained in the air, it was different in the future. "I feel weird." Matteo signed and Denali nodded. "Me as well." She replied as Hamish straightened out. "Take your time to adjust to the energy here, it's chaotic since the war just recently ended and as for Matteo, here this energy will affect you most." Hamish explained as a low golden glow finally encased their bodies as Hamish gave his jacket over to Matteo.
"How will a jacket help?" Laurie asked as she came up next to the two men. "It's a filter imbued with Mel's signature energy, I had him make one for me just incase I needed his will to focus my strength but since Matteo is having a hard time I'd rather it help him absorb the energy around us." He explained as Matteo nodded with a smile. "Alright, I don't know where we are but it seems my brother secured our connection to him, we need to hurry." Selena asserted and they all nodded turning their attention to her and Hamish. "We learned that the insatiable was cut into eight right, but where were the pieces taken before they were given to their protectors?" Hamish questioned as blinding light cascaded into the night sky, six different beings that were marked with holy light dispersing in different directions.
"Take cover!" Hamish yelled as he summoned a salt barrier that protected everyone from the shockwave that came north of their position. "We are too late, they are dispersing already." Laurie mumbled as Hamish absorbed his salt again. "Hold hands, we need Mel to move us back a day." Hamish explained as he focused on his connection with Mel as another shockwave hurtled their way. "Mel, we need to move back a day, please." Denali begged as the shockwave hit them and it dragged them back but they held steady with Selena exerting some of her power to hold them in place with ice but it cracked at the sheer force they were meeting head on. "Mel please, I can't hold on much longer!" Serena yelled as Hamish's eyes opened as a brilliant golden light shined on all of them.
"Hold on!" He yelled as their bodies became intangible then completely vanished as they were taken back further into the past by Mel's will and power, moving in space was different than teleporting they could definitely accept that now, moving through time felt as if they were being pulled apart then stitched together again in a different time. As their bodies began to re-emerge in a different space the sun was blazing brilliantly in the sky, the land was soaked in black blood and death, no trees of any kind anywhere, this was the remnant of war, it was unkind. "He did it." Hamish sighed in relief as he could feel the energy was different from before, they all could feel it and easily absorb it.
"We need to find—." Denali spoke up but paused when a sword was trained on her back, soon enough they were surrounded by hunters and angels who all had weapons aimed at them and they didn't seem to doubt how true their aim was with them. "Please, we mean you no harm, we are here to seek your aid." Selena spoke up as they still remained silent with narrowed eyes, they could all understand, they had been at war, with one of the greatest demons ever created. "We have no aid to offer you, whatever you are." A voice spoke above them, and they had to squint their eyes to find the angel whose light shined much like the sun. "Yes you can, we are here for the two pieces eight that will be lost to space and time, if—." Laurie tried to explain but the angels and hunters all seemed even more apprehensive then.
"How do you know of them, seize them." The angel hissed as the group readied to fight but Hamish shook his head. "We need their help, resisting wont help." Matteo signed and Denali nodded. "He's right, we need their help." She supported and they all relaxed, allowed the chains to be put on their wrists, it restricted their power but not the power that anchored them to this plane of existence. The walk toward what seemed to be a camp was a long one, and Denali worried, not for just herself but Matteo whom she knew wasn't used to this harsh walking, though he did go on missions, he was often a scout. "Don't worry, the jacket will keep him safe." Hamish whispered her way and a grateful nod came from her aswell.
"Where are you taking us?" Selena questioned as they came to a ravine, the fall down was dangerously low and little water to cushion the fall and without their mana, it would hurt. "To see someone who might believe your story, first you need to cross." The angel leading them replied cockily. "We're bound idiot." Selena hissed but the angel laughed. "Your wings aren't." He retorted and Hamish gritted his teeth, this was a test. "Selena take Laurie, I'll take Denali and Matteo." Hamish ordered as his wings came into being, they shined a crystal white causing the others to look away, he secured Matteo then Denali, before anyone said anything he'd taken off into the sky blowing most of their captors back with strong gusts of wind.
Selena did the same as she flew toward the other side of the ravine that became clearer as she flew, the angel blood of this time seemed to have just made a bridge materialize with their power and they walked toward the other end with ease, this had been indeed a test. Selena was the first to settle on land as her wings vanished, next was Hamish who landed with ease and Matteo patted his back in appreciation. "Thanks, they are up to something." She whispered to Hamish who nodded once as they were pushed foward, with a bit more walking they came up to a camp, tents that stretched on for miles, a lone burnt brick tower standing east of the camp. "This is where we appeared first, meaning they moved or they protected themselves from those massive shockwaves." Laurie asserted as they entered the camp, as they passed the circular boundary Hamish felt himself pass through a barrier made of celestial energy, another test.
"Release them, whatever they are they are not demons." The angel who commanded the rest stated as the chains were taken off. "Come, you must meet Madira—." The angel muttered as his wings finally vanished and he led them whilst the others went their separate ways. "By any chance, do you mean Madira Conquest?" Matteo asked but in signage so the angel couldn't understand him. "Did he speak?" The woman asked. "He asked if this was Madira Conquest?" Denali translated and the woman was clearly surprised. "Yes, how did you know?" She demanded. "Madira is the one who channeled celestial energy into being here on earth, and taught it to the other angels, together they used the power to overturn the war, he was also a descendant of House Mekha, his descendants attended Harwin, no one knows what killed him after they had destroyed the insatiable demon Korva." Matteo explained stunning not only the woman leading them but the group aswell when Denali translated for him.
"How do you know all that?" She asked. "We did a paper on him last month, but I'm surprised you still remember, dead week is a bitch." Denali stated and they all laughed. "Well I'm impressed where did you all say you came from again?" The angel asked as Hamish cleared his throat. "Please, we need to speak to Madira we can't keep telling you what happens in the future because at some point an important fact may be said that could alter reality for us and Melrose won't have enough power to fix it." Hamish replied and his group also noticed the warning in his words. "Yes, I think that would be best too." The angel agreed and led them through the maze of tents, angels and angel bloods mingling, laughing and finding solace in one another, Hamish wondered what changed, what caused the hunter —angel wars until the great houses intervened.
They came to a tent, it was bigger than most, the angel who led them made them wait outside. "You need to see this." They heard the woman, and a groan made it outside, safe to say Madira wasn't happy with their arrival. "Children, this is Madira." She announced as a lumbering man walked out of the tent, they could all feel the brimming celestial energy he held in his massive body, Laurie held onto Hamish for support because the man was terrifying. "This is interesting." Madira muttered his voice surprisingly gentle for a giant bear. "Before we kill you, what do you want?"

Present Time ~ Toronto.
"Its so cold." Abe muttered the moment they appeared in Toronto. "Yeah, that's the normal weather here." Necmi replied as he and Rizzavi nodded to each other and allowed their power to cascade over the land trying to find the source of the demons and Korva himself, they also had to find a way to protect the humans, which was going to be much harder if there was a fighting army already, there was no choice, Mel needed them. "Mel is in pain, we need to help him, but first we need a plan, Necmi." Haden spoke up as Necmi nodded, then stopped releasing his power over the land. "We found them." Rizzavi called out as he pointed toward the darkest clouds that sparked lightning.
"Of course the ominous looking dark cloud is where they are, why can't these bad people ever choose an island paradise, fun on the beach." He grumbled as he held Necmi's hand, vanishing in an instant the four appeared on a roof overlooking the horror show below. "He's luring humans here with his power, summoning a demon from the portal to posses the human, what disrupts demonic power?" Necmi explained as he looked to Rizzavi. "An influx of nature energy, in the past angels have called upon nature to cut off demonic power by corrupting it." Haden replied as they now all looked at Rizzavi, he was nature itself. "My power isn't infinite, that thing might just be, I can stop his power now but not always we need another plan." Rizzavi protested as he looked to his companions.
"As far as we know he can't be destroyed but his power can be changed, Abe do you still remember that runic symbol Mel taught you, can you create it with Haden's help, I will fuel you, when Rizzavi disrupts the flow of the demons power we'll brand him with the rune, it will make sure the power he's using to attract and posses humans with turns on itself, repelling humans instead and his demons wont have a place to be shoved into." Necmi explained the plan as Abe nodded as he grabbed his sterling and began creating the rune. "Do as I do." Abe told Haden as they began creating together. Necmi concentrated on giving his energy to the two hunters, filling them with so much energy that their runes seemed to glow in the darkness around them.
"You might want to hurry." Rizzavi called out as he looked out over to the place where the insatiable still was possessing people but had sent a few possessed humans to check out what was going on where they were. "I'm not Mel,— Rizzavi, he's well —much better at this, I only got the art of making powerful runes recently." He argued as he created the symbols at a rate that Haden could follow and not falter. "Normally creating this would've taken half my mana already but I feel full." Haden commented as Necmi snickered. "You're taking from me Haden, your reserve is untouched, we can't afford to have you two at low strength when the actual fight happens." Necmi explained as Rizzavi hissed for them to hurry up.
"Almost, —done." Abe called out as Rizzavi spread his large wings and shot up into the sky, the insatiable demon Korva grolwed and screeched when he saw the angel shoot up into the clouds created by his power. "Get him!" He ordered as demons on the ground shot up into the sky aswell but Necmi quickly intervened as light flooded the whole area, it caused all the demons to scream and screech, torture by light wasn't fun. "Anytime now Rizzavi!" Necmi called out to the clouds as suddenly winds began picking up around them, buildings began to shake, tremors on the ground as the roads below cracked and broke apart, suddenly it all died down.
"Is that it?!" Korva cackled in laughter as the earth shook again with more power, a large beanstalk sprouted from the ground, followed by more stalks that began destroying buildings in half, cars were smashed as were innocent civilians on the ground. "Wasn't the point of this saving the people?" Haden demanded as Rizzavi's power cascaded around them, it sizzled in the air, caused the buildings to shake as an orca burst out of the ground flooding the whole area. "He's gone mad." Abe asserted and Haden nodded. "No, it's nature's chaos, he's summoning it here." Necmi replied as he hovered above them, a lightning bolt hit the building they were on starting a blazing fire. "Nature's chaos huh." Abe muttered as another wave of Rizzavi's power overtook the space splitting the portal Korva was using to summon demons in two. "He did it, he actually did it." Necmi was in a moment overjoyed but when metal began to bend, he worried. "He over did it?" Haden asked. "Yeap, go!" Necmi yelled as he lauched the hunters and the rune they had created toward Korva.
The demon had his energy disrupted therefore he was disrupted, Abe and Haden landed right near his large clawed feet since he was still in his demonic form, he was a mix of a lizard and a werewolf, only more scales. "Now." Abe told Haden and they thrust their arms out focusing on branding Korva with the rune and it worked, the eight foot demon screeched in pain as the rune took root inside of him and marred his skin in ancient words. "No!" He grolwed swinging his large hand to throw both Haden and Abe in two separate directions. Abe broke through a window and crashed into what seemed to be an office space, people were actually hiding in there as he pushed away the large pieces of wood that had fallen on him. "Ow, that's a mean swing." He mumbled getting up.
"Stay here." He told the continuously nodding office workers, before jumping out the window. "Tell me he didn't throw you into a car too." Haden grumbled as he brushed off glass from his body. "Nope, just the building." He mused and Haden scoffed. "Lets regroup." Haden mumbled as the two nodded toward each other and activated their runes, giving them incredible speed, enough to find where Necmi was perched. "Did it work?" Abe asked as Necmi created arrows of light from nothing then shot them at several demons that were climbing the building walls. "Yes it did, Rizzavi just needs one more blast and that portal will close sealing his ability." Necmi explained as a demon hound lunged for him, he aimed scorching light on it and turned it to ash.
"So where is it?" Haden demanded as lava erupted like a volcano over the land destroying everything, adding on to the building cataclysmic explosion. "Take my hands now!" Necmi ordered as the cataclysmic energy reached its high and detonated in a blast of dark green energy destroying not only the buildings, but demons, the portal, even some of the possessed humans turned to sand at the sheer power and heat of the blast. As the sky cleared another blast of pure mana cascaded out of Rizzavi, it calmed down the chaotic energy he had unleashed as he began to absorb it back into his body whilst leaving everything in rubble. "Now I understand why he's stronger than Hamish." Abe whispered as he shivered looking above at Rizzavi who eyes burned green.
"I know." Haden supported as Rizzavi came down heaving but still absorbing the chaotic energy. "Give me a moment." He told the others as he fully drew back the power and once he was finished he sighed in relief. "I'm not doing that anytime soon." He muttered as Necmi chuckled but readied himself as did the hunters because Korva was angry, his malicious energy vibrated in the air, all the demons he had summoned to this plane assembled by his side. "Kill them." He ordered as his body turned to smoke. "No he's getting away!" Haden yelled as he slid down the building then threw a blade at the smoke but it was too late, it vanished. "It's fine Haden, what we needed to do was done, he can't have more people possessed, and we can't take him on like this, we need more power, all we need to do now is kill the possessed, or purge them then kill the demons, it will restore balance right?" Necmi asserted as Rizzavi nodded in suport.
"Good." The arch angel muttered but something went wrong, the non human demons began to join together creating bigger demons than before as the possesed humans fueled their power. "Shit."
Harwin Academy.
Kean and Melrose.
"So arch angel of balance?" Kean asked what was the hundredth question, it amused Mel how he'd actually gotten to know more about Kean in the space of a few hours as they sat on that bench waiting for the others to return. "I ascended twice, remember, born of two houses meaning I must ascend twice then gain my own ability when the the two combined powers become one, which is time but you already knew that." Mel explained to a fascinated Kean, it was in his nature to want to gain knowledge, he couldn't fault him. "I know you're pretty much making fun of me but I'm interested, you were the only person in the school who actually gave a real shit about the hunters, then Necmi claimed you, then you started helping the hunters until you turned out out to be an arch angel then convinced me to be good, pretty remarkable." Kean exclaimed happily making Mel laugh. "You're not so bad Kean, not bad at all." Mel replied as he rubbed his arms for warmth, Kean removed his jacket and offered, Mel didn't have the heart to refuse.
"Hmmm, that feels better." He hummed as the pain caused by the balance subsided. "Any development?" Kean asked and Mel nodded. "My mate and his group stopped the demon but he escaped, they managed to brand him with an ancient binding rune so he couldn't summon demons to possess more people, meaning part of the balance was restored now they either have to purge or kill the possessed humans for it to be normal again." Mel explained to a relieved Kean. "Can we survive this Mel, it seems as if he's growing in power despite our best efforts." Kean mumbled lowly and Mel took his large hand in comfort. "It may seem dark now but don't worry so much, things will change, we will get through this." Mel comforted as Kean smiled but that smile was quickly wiped away when a large beam of dark matter hit the barrier above the school.
"What in the name of the Goddess." Mel muttered as a large portal opened above the school, first a shadow dragon flew out then another equally terrifying monster, it resembled a naga only more shadows and demonic aura, third was a hydra with three heads that was the most terrifying one of all but they were all overshadowed when the insatiable demon Korva himself appeared in his demonic form. "Oh no." Kean whispered as the school was set ablaze.
