The Oldenheim.

"It looks tacky, and seems as if you were trying not really putting your talent into it." The woman with raven flowing hair, caramel skin and very sharp eyes commented as she looked at the decorations she had ordered to be placed up, they had to be perfect nomatter what. "Yes, mistress I'll get onto it right away—by the way mistress you look absolutely stunning as always." The man she had been giving instructions complimented making her blush a little. "Oh stop with your charm Zev, you'll make me nervous." She retorted with a giggle that brought a wave of refreshing air, that's who Ceres was, a breath of fresh air or a bitter cutting storm, depending on which side of her you fell on. "We're here auntie Ceres!" A little boy yelled as he jumped out of a car headed for the entrance to where Ceres was, the building looked like a mini greek temple with ten pillars on either side though it wasn't open air, it was actually closed in to avoid the equipment inside from getting damaged but the panels inbetween the pillars weren't just titanium, they acted as the power generators for the whole building, and on the inside Ceres had made sure to put up tapestries which reflected the history of house Lucifer. "Hello my darlings!" Ceres replied with even more vigour when she turned to greet the boy and the other children that ran behind him.

"Oh my you've grown." Ceres indulged them as she looked at their bright faces, even of the adults who were now walking in, scattered all over the world, a family taken apart because of war and the need to find better livelihoods, and never able to enter Haven Rein, the hidden country for all that was angelic and divine, but through her son's grace, they were here, happy. "Mistress Faith." A gruff voice called out as he walked into the building last, his grace and elegance undeniable for an arch angel of celestial power. "Master Serrati, I'm so glad you could join us." Ceres addressed the man who was surprised as always by her beauty, by her power and mostly by her kindness, her house had been near annihilation yet she was still as kind, more so than before, —even to a man who had a hand in the destruction of her house, how the sweet words of a mad man had led him astray.

"I could never resist your company mistress." He replied charmingly causing everyone to snicker and chuckle. "The pleasure is all mine, find a place to hide everyone, we need to surprise them." Ceres called out to the large family who scattered around the room whilst she and the Serrati stood to watch the portal begin to form, first was a burst of white, them gold, it mixed and swirled but never stayed the same in its circular form, first was Kean who walked out, then Denali, lastly Haden before the portal closed, the twins stood by Kean looking around before. "Surprise!" Everyone called out making Denali shriek whilst Haden just held onto Kean, the gesture wasn't refused, the angel actually felt comfort in the fact that Haden would seek his hand for comfort when in trouble. "Welcome home, Denali, Haden, do you recognize them." The mistress spoke up first and all three hunters realized who she was in an instant, she was Mel's mother no doubt, no wonder they all said they would know, —there was no mistaking it, they were looking at just an older feminine version of Melrose.

But something struck Kean, the man next to her. "Grandfather." Kean whispered as he looked at the man. "Come give your grandfather a hug —introduce him to your mate." The man replied cheerily but the last part had Kean unable to form words. "I might have let my tongue slip there huh." He mumbled earning a chuckle from Ceres. "Haden!" The children finally run out of patience and screamed the hunters name. "Dakota, Macy, Con— why are you all here?" Haden questioned as Denali tapped his shoulder. "Look." She asserted and Haden looked from where he was kneeling with the children to have his eyes widen and heart beat faster. "Uncle Maverick, it can't be, you're —you were." Haden couldn't believe it, neither of them could believe it, this was their family, all of it, Maverick was the closest thing they had to a father, he was the one who worked tirelessly to keep them in the academy, but due to his work he was rarely home but made sure to be there for the special things, especially their birthday. "Dad!" Denali called out as she ran to Maverick, he wasn't just their uncle, he was their father, so when they crashed into his arms after all this time they cried, he was home nomatter where they were, they could count on him to be there.

The family huddled around the twins, happy to finally have their children again, oh how beautiful it was. "Melrose bless your heart my child." Ceres whispered as she wiped tears away. After the crying, enquiries of life and never ending surprise, Ceres finally stepped in. "Welcome to Oldenheim Denali and Haden, Melrose tasked me to find your family after you were all magically tortured in his mind, he never told you this but he saw more in your minds and hearts than you previously thought he did and with that he tasked me to do this, bring your family together, give you a home once more, as you are now part of house Lucifer." Ceres explained as the banner above her glowed. "Mel did this, —for us?" Denali mumbled and Ceres nodded. "He barely knows us, why show us so much kindness?" Maverick argued after hearing the mistress. "My son is many things, but one thing he values most is the people he loves, you may have not known him for a long time but he knew your hearts, and he knew you desrved to be surrounded by family, you nolonger need to travel back to that old town of yours when school is over, this is your home now, your family has already been integrated into house Lucifer, and you two, well your house is still under a bit of construction but when school is over, it'll be waiting for you." Ceres added and before she finished Denali and Haden hugged her tightly.

The two hunters after loosing their parents and family never had a constant home, to have this, it was a dream come true. "Thank you, —thank you so much." The twins repeated over and over. "It's alright my children, its alright and the person you should truly thank is Khalil, he arranged for everything to the last detail." The mistress replied and it clicked, he was the one who sent them here, to their new home, they would always be grateful. "We will thank him too." Haden chuckled as he let go of the embrace. "Go, talk to your family, Melrose did give me a time limit as to how long you can stay, I can't keep you past curfew, your headmaster would have my head." Ceres joked earning laughter from everyone.

"Your son, he's one of a kind." Master Serrati asserted as he stood next to Ceres now. "I know, his ability to do so much good for other people without expecting anything in return still surprises me even today, I am proud of him." Ceres replied as she turned to look at the next head of house Gabriel. "Walk with us young Gabriel, —you must know that it is okay to be with that boy, if you feel yourself doubting your bond, come to this place and look at the tapestries, these are the battles fought not only against the demons, but inner nature, to truly become powerful you must accept yourself and the one your heart wants, it's no crime, so don't be afraid, and if your father or grandfather gives you a hard time, Oldenheim is open to you." Ceres exclaimed to which Master Serrati protested. "Mistress dont be so candid, your lands cover the eastern seaboard now, —I hear." He stated and the mistress nodded. "I've claimed back what was owed to me, owed to my children, taken back our right and I shall continue till I have it all back, is that so wrong." She retorted and Kean snickered, there was an underlying threat in there. "Not at all, but if my grandson's beloved is part of your house, then I believe we as the house of Gabriel will need to have more than just an alliance now." Master Serrati explained to Kean's dismay, was this how it happened when families discussed a union, he didn't want to be there anymore.

"You're scaring the boy." Ceres whispered and they both laughed with perfect poise. "Nomater, —a discussion for another time, now I believe it is time we give you what your friend requested, information on all that is the demon war against the insatiable, also the protection ward he requested imbued with power from Haven Rein." Master Serrati explained as he placed a thick book and a glowing crystal in Kean's hands. This made him realize that Mel was more than steps ahead in dealing with the schools current problem, something he and the previous council would've been horrible at and it brought a smile to his face, he was glad Necmi had brought him to the school.

Norway ~ The facility.

Necmi blasted demons from above with his eyes, they had been circling the facility entrance, trying to claw their way in but they hadn't been successful in doing so, there was hope of people being inside. "You really need to teach me that." Abe exclaimed as Necmi snickered. "I can't, —I can only do it now because Mel—." He couldn't finish as a demon lunged for him and he opened his palms to blast it with concentrated holy light, Abe dropped to the snow covered ground sword in hand and created a shield with his glyphs, attacking before they did, he made sure to kill more of them before they attacked him, a demon lunged for him, he threw his sword into it's neck but it pulled it out and it clattered onto the ground whilst it stalked forward. "Lets play." Abe stated as in a burst of power he attacked the large beast, unleashing flames on it causing it to howl then he jumped into the flames with his sword back in hand and sliced through its neck again, he didn't stop, he willed the runes on his body to activate giving him more speed to jump onto the demon's back and impale it with his sword, then quickly pulled out his sterling creating the runes for sun and imbuing the scorching light into the sword which effectively killed it.

His blazing sword in hand Abe moved foward killing demons that had resisted Necmi's attack. As he looked up he saw a demon lunging for Necmi, without much thought he anticipated where it would be next and threw his sword which impaled it right then, —he clenched his fist and it exploded blasting the demon to shreds. "Thanks." Necmi exclaimed as he hovered down to the ground. "Anytime." Abe replied as he drew runes that combined shadow and fire to create black flames, he then shot it onto all the demons by aiming it into sky. "Now let's see if there are any survivors." Necmi exclaimed as he waved his hand and the door fell off its hinges with ease, but before they could walk in several angels had amassed an attack which they shot at the two. Necmi spread his wings they covered the wide door area and beyond, in the seconds that passed he had absorbed the energy successfully. "Stop!" Abe yelled making the angels and hunters realize that it was actually an angel and an angel blood by their door. Necmi willed his wings to vanish as he stepped on the floor again. "You don't get much visitors around here do you?" Abe joked as he dematerialized his sword. "You'd be surprised with the amount of activity we've had these past few days." The first angel joked as they gathered to see the new comers.

"Your grace, forgive us." The angel had finally noticed Necmi and fell to one knee, Abe rolled his eyes, they never stop. "It's alright, but I must know something more vital, are there any more of you in the facility?" Necmi replied as he looked to the kneeling angel. "Yes your grace— in total we're three hundred, most of our hunters went to clear out the demons south east, I'm guessing with your arrival that didn't go well." The angel exclaimed as the realization set it. Abe turned to the door as screeching in the distance made it to his ears. "Shit." He cursed as Necmi turned around and vanished. "Gather everyone, —this is not a drill we're evacuating now!" He ordered the angel who quickly pressed a button on his tablet which sounded the alarm. "Mission control requesting portal to academy at precise location." Abe spoke into his communicator. "Portal opening in fifteen seconds." The controller on the other side replied as the portal opened behind Abe, once it had fully materialized  he ordered everyone in. "Move, move, —move!" He yelled as Necmi flew back into the room again a light barrier encasing the building. "Check to see if there is anyone left in the facility?" Necmi ordered the angel from before as he tapped furiously on his tablet. "No one in the upper or lower levels your grace, but there are a few hunters who were on a scout missions east, they are trekking back now." He explained and Abe groaned. "Let's go, make sure everyone is through that portal." Necmi replied as Abe took his hand and in an instant they were headed east with Abe keeping a look out for the scout team.

"Down there, just beyond the ridge." Abe spotted them and the demons that were on the other side of the ridge. "Get them to safety I'll deal with the demons." Necmi ordered as Abe let go and freefalled to the hunters and landed like a feline. As for Necmi he held his hands and encased the small hoard of demons in a light sphere, he concentrated power into it, not outside but inside and willed his light to explode like several bombs killing the demons, once it was done, he released the light sphere and flew straight for Abe. "We need to get back to the academy and report this to the headmaster, there is a highly unusual concentration of demons here." Necmi explained as the portal had the scout team all through, Abe walked in and so did Necmi and it closed behind them.

Once on school grounds Necmi found Lanel and the school staff helping the Norway facility occupants. "Go find Laurie, I need to see the headmaster, we'll meet at the church later." Necmi instructed as before he walked toward the admin building, something was wrong and it had to be dealt with now.

Honolulu.

Hamish had taken them to a hidden alleyway where the witch had immediately let go of his hand and sighed, his question still lingering. "That's none of your business." The witch hissed as he shoved, —well tried, to shove Hamish and walk past him. "I'd say its my business when you're being attacked by reapers, demons and I don't know what else that's currently tracking you." Hamish argued as he followed the witch who was casting a spell in front of him. "They will stop eventually but I can't." The man replied his curly hair bouncing atop his head when he turned to face Hamish in defiance then vanished.

Demier couldn't tell what that being was, he had a certain grace about him, a certain fluidity and openness that reminded him of a hunter he met once, the one who had helped him get to the island. He just couldn't place how they were connected, but he couldn't worry about that now, his spell had led him to where his next target was, and it was right on. An accident had occurred, a human male had died but his two children in the back were still alive, the woman in the next car who was seemingly the cause of the accident was also dead, a reaper had appeared to take the souls so he cloaked himself and looked around, none of the others were around, so he summoned the dagger that had killed his mate and threw it right into the reapers back, it began siphoning the energy out of him into the sand cloak filled with energy from the other reapers he had killed. Once it was finished he had enough, he could cleanse it and use it to revive Vikram,  it had to work, and he vanished the moment another reaper showed up.

Hamish had decided it was better to watch than interfere again but he had a job to do first, he appeared next to the man who had hit his head on the wheel, he wondered why the airbag hadn't deployed, he shouldn't have died. "The soul needs to be taken to the aether, to find peace." A voice familiar stated next to him and he came face to face with Jessica, who smiled sadly. "No, the balance does not wish for that, he shouldn't have died." Hamish replied Jessica, no one could see them and time didn't exist in the moment of passing. "What of her?" Jessica questioned and he nodded. "It was her time, she however with that singular thought of not wanting to die alone caused this man to die, she's to deal with whatever becomes of her, the Goddess her will be done." Hamish replied as he gently caressed the human male's head, slowly bringing him back to the land of the living. "By the power of the balance, you shall live again." He stated his whole being enveloped in power he never had thought he could wield before, but now he could. "I was sent to bring balance here, so I will deal with whatever the witch has done before you hunt him down again." He asserted looking at Jessica, but this wasn't Jessica looking back, it was death through her eyes, and she nodded back.

Hamish reassured in a nod before he vanished, tracing the elusive witch, but found him rather quickly because his energy was like a beacon, all other mystics around him could feel it, Hamish was sure of it. In a quaint little suburb, a home seemingly to have been filled with love, Demier had set the cleansing spell into motion but it seemed to be draining more of his mana than he could output. "You know you'll die before that spell is complete right?" Hamish suddenly stated as he stood in the clear basement where the spell was taking place, a wolf slowly dying on the ground but his soul kept in a bubble away from any mystic danger, the witch suddenly turned, eyes glowing purple and ready to strike. "How did you get in?" He questioned as his eyes shifted to his mate who seemed to notice the being in the room with them. "By will, I'm an angel, I've learnt witch magic for the better part of two years and have picked up on a few traits that I used to my advantage." Hamish replied as he finally noticed the sand clock and dagger. "The two relics given to humanity, how did you get them?" He demanded as his power made the whole house shake. "How do you know that?" The dying wolf questioned as he looked at Hamish, it seemed he was right, a lot more was going on here, a witch randomly killing reapers wasn't just something normal and then having two demonic relics appear as well, no wonder demons were after him.

"My name is Hamish Ruthloe, I was sent here to correct the disturbance in the balance caused by you killing reapers, it affects the flow which I am part guardian of, its why I protected you from the reapers and I'm guessing the demons are after you because you possess two relics of the insatiable demon whose currently trying to resurrect himself." He explained and the witch with his half dead mate seemed taken aback and more relaxed. "They came about a week ago, attacked my husband and killed him because he wouldn't tell them where the relics were, but when they threatened me, he had no choice, he told them—." The witch explained as the wolf tried to comfort him but he couldn't since he was half a ghost. "You see  humanity was given the relics to protect, but generations back my human ancestor was mated to a wolf, and so the relics were protected by the werewolves of my clan since then, we've kept them hidden, generation after generation, and always they have tried to kill us, the demons hadn't tried to do so with my mate around because he cast a spell that kept us hidden with the help of a hunter, Melrose." And that made Hamish's brows rise.

So that's why Mel thought he knew who was causing the disturbance. "He's the one who sent me." Hamish exclaimed and the two mates looked at each other in relief. What they all assumed was furniture and the door shattering echoed in the house. "Demons, we need to get you out of here." Hamish stated looking at the witch but he wouldn't budge. "I am not leaving him, I can't live without him." In that moment Hamish was struck with the same love he had for Laurie, he would do anything for her, and it made sense, why the witch had done all that he did, just to get his love back. "Demier my love, you have to go." The wolf accosted. "No Vikram, I won't leave, I will die with you." Demier argued as he tried to reach out for Vikram, Hamish moved forward and into the bubble created by the candle where the sand clock and dagger were being purified to give life back to Vikram, the door to the basement burst open and Hamish held out his hand without looking back and a wall of salt appeared cutting them off. "Your ingenuity is fascinating, the sand clock was originally made to hold the essence of a greater demon, the dagger as the key to closing and opening it, without the essence of the demon, they were useless but you used your magic to change its use, the dagger would be the key to draining life, pouring it into the clock once it was purified you would then pour it into another vessel, its a marvelous creation." Hamish admired as a claw shattered through the basement to where they were. "Uhm, not to rush you but a demon is looking right at us." Vikram stated in a quiver and Hamish turned to face the demon. "Oh." Was his response as we waved his hand again and salt covered the ceiling effectively cutting them off from the demons.

"Your effort was valiant but with your current power, its not enough, and I'd rather your child live." Hamish stated as he looked at Demier with a smile. "Wha—." He was shocked as Hamish breathed deep and his power poured out of him like a crashing wave, he waved his hand over the relics, his salt completely destroying them, another hand released tendrils of crystal light that wrapped around Vikram's soul and pulled him back into his body whilst Hamish willed his power to heal the wolf's body. "By the power of the balance, you shall live again and be reborn." He commanded as his power spiked even more and the body he was healing was encased in crystal white light enough to blind them all, once it was done Demier moved toward him and Vikram. "He'll be alright, he needs to recover mana before he can full awaken." Hamish explained to Demier as the sound of his salt walls being blasted with magic made it to him, as the balance was restored he had no need to be there, so he dropped the salt walls and released another wave of salt that completely encased the whole house destroying the demons, either killing them or turning them to salt in an instant. "Wicked." Demier mumbled as he looked to Hamish. "Mission control, requesting portal to exact location." Hamish stated into communicator and in seconds the portal opened and on the other side the academy and its beautiful sunset shown. "Come, let's get you to safety." Hamish added as Demier nodded and waved his hand raising his mate's body along with his and they passed the portal, Hamish sighed, great first mission but the information he had gotten, just made him more apprehensive.

As he walked out of the portal the med team was there along with hunters which he assumed were from another facility. "Oh you're back." Laurie stated as she passed Demier and ran into Hamish's arms. "My love." He stated as he hugged Laurie tightly. "I've had a day." Hamish stated making his love chuckle. "We all did, go to the headmaster and report, I'll look after them." Laurie stated as she kissed her tall brute on the cheek before shooing him off. "Hello, welcome to the academy, Mel sent me to help and then he said to bring you to the oldengate entrance." She explained with a smile that relaxed the witch, there wasn't an ounce of judgement in the hunter's eyes, she was lovely. Demier knew he was safe, finally, and his mate, he would be alright, they would be alright.
