Necmi's Dorm ~ The Group.

"What do you mean you're not participating in the hunter test, a day before the Archaic resumes!" Necmi roars as he looked to Laurie and Abe who were hiding behind Hamish, Mel was by the small kitchen drinking juice, while Rizzavi was with Angelo in Necmi's bedroom playing with Necmi's clothes, Mel decided not to interfere or intervene when the two were on the receiving end of his anger, he would just watch, but Necmi would probably lash out at Rizzavi and press kisses on Angelo for looking cute, he had him hooked like that, back to the cowering hunters.

"Listen Necmi, I don't think we really need to win the thing, or even compete, you're the new council head that's a given, Mel is an arch angel, a named arch angel who could wipe us all out with the flick of a finger, you two have so much sway with the school already, people fear you and they adore your boyfriend, are you guys offic—." Abe rambled off when he saw the glare intent on him from Necmi. "Laura, is this what you want, we could change the school for the better." Necmi argued and the girl came out of her hiding place with an apologetic face. "Listen team leader, we might compete but we won't win, we're just not that strong, and also I feel like if we both get on the council then our team gets separated and I can't handle training with new people, getting used to them, I like this dynamic, it's good for me, plus Abe is right, you and your not boyfriend are the most powerful people in the school." Laurie explained with an innocent pout, she knew Necmi would understand, he just didn't like understanding.

Hamish sighed as he manhandled Abe from behind him, placed him next to his girlfriend and pushed them both toward Necmi who caught them both in a hug. "I'd like to stay together too." He mumbled squeezing them just a little bit tighter. "Nuno look!" Angelo called out as he came out of Necmi's room wearing his combat boots, a black oversize jacket and a cap with the school logo, Laurie and everyone else cooed and awed but not Necmi, he just grinned like an idiot and twirled around Angelo. "You look super cute, let's take a selfie and we can send it to your mom later." He suggested and Mel immediately walked up to the two. "How dare you not include me." He whined as he tickled Angelo who giggled whilst they took the selfies, Hamish, Laurie and Abe looked on with adoration at the not couple, they hadn't announced it yet, they couldn't assume. "Come you guys." Necmi accosted and they all huddled together taking the self portraits, Rizzavi barrel rolled out of Necmi's bedroom wearing nothing of his.

You could see the narrow line that pointed at the angel when Necmi looked at him but he still joined the photo session. "So cute, I could eat you up." The angel teased placing kisses all over the giggling child. "Nuno staaaph!" He spoke inbetween his laughter, with bonding came nicknames, Angelo couldn't or didn't want to call Necmi by his full name, so he dubbed him Nuno, it was cute because none of them knew a dialect that had the word so it was uniquely his. "I'll let you go, if you give me a kiss." Necmi bargained with the boy and he pressed a kiss to his cheek, he let him go but wound his arm around Mel's waist pulling him in. "Kiss me too, or I hold you hostage as I go beat up Rizzavi for wearing that cologne you got me." He demanded, with Rizzavi hearing this, he ran to Necmi's bedroom, everyone laughed as Mel leaned up and kissed his angel, who stole another kiss before letting him go.

"Khali, can we go get ice cream?" Angelo asked and they all looked to Mel with hopeful eyes. "What and why are you all looking at me for?" Mel questioned and Abe cleared his throat. "You always buy us ice cream lately, we just want some too." He replied earning a snicker from Mel. "Fine." As he replied Rizzavi screamed causing Mel to release an exasperated sigh, he had warned him. "Is he okay?" Abe mumbled looking toward the origin of the scream. "He's fine, maybe a bit traumatized because I'm sure Necmi burnt a hole on something." Mel explained nonchalant as his friends looked at him as if he were mad. "What, I can practically feel what happened." He retorted as he removed the large pieces of clothing on Angelo, the boy was still dressed with clothes that screamed money, his mother over did it sometimes. Mel tickled the boy as his phone vibrated in his pocket, a message from Harry popping up.

"Papito, Harry wants to see us!" Melrose called out toward the bedroom where Necmi walked out, freshly cleaned, Rizzavi followed behind holding his jacket which had a hole in it, like Mel had said. "Did you clean up your mess?" The largest angel in the room asked, and Rizzavi nodded in a pout. "Mel, look at the handiwork of your not boyfriend." He whined and everyone laughed. "I'm sorry, but I did warn you not to touch his stuff, you're too grown for him to find you adorable." Mel consoled the boy but he still whined. "Nuno will get you a new one." Angelo suddenly suggested and Rizzavi's pout vanished. "Really?" He looked for assurance and Angelo looked to Necmi with the cutest baby eyes. "You will, won't you." He suggested and the power of the puppy eyes persuaded him in that instant. "I will buttercup." He assured the boy as they all shuffled out of the dorm room.

Melrose Faith.

"So you're saying we need to investigate the origin of what possessed the whole school?" Mel questioned unable to truly understand the motive behind Harry's request,  he could've easily given the investigation to any team of the ten that were available. "Yes and before you threaten me, you lot are an unconventional team, there are six of you here, which makes two teams if we were to divide, and I am, Necmi and your original team, you'll analyse and look for clues outside the school, you have more experience there, but stay in touch with Mel, he's got an edge more experience than you do, he will however be analyzing clues that he finds in the school, Rizzavi and Hamish will help him since they've been at the school longer, listen its a big ask but we need to find out how that pathogen got into the school, what demon is causing this, so we can kill it, Cleo comes back to the school next week, I suggested that she take a break and it seemed she agreed, so she left early this morning, she told me to thank you, for stopping her and that she's truly sorry." Harry explained conveying even the emotion behind her apology but Mel wasn't ready for it.

"So you have no leads so far, not even a speck out of place?" Necmi questioned and Harry shook his head in refusal. "I guess we'll start with where Cleo was when she got possessed." Mel suggested as he stood up. "You'll look into later, tomorrow we resume the archaic, afterwards we have the charity ball which Necmi is hosting this year so you have to prepare for that as well." Harry exclaimed and Mel groaned, there was a lot coming up plus school, he would need all the energy he could get to handle it all. "I think we might just need more than ice cream, anyone up for a late lunch?" Melrose suggested and they all nodded because they all had a lot to get done.

the next day ~ Archaic.

A low chatter, maybe not so low covered the entirety of the arena, most if not all the angel bloods or hunters were in the arena waiting for the horn to blow so that they could begin killing each other, not in actuality but that's what they aimed for. "So since you two decided not to fight, who do you think will win?" Rizzavi asked Abe who was sitting next to Laurie. "Honestly the odds are not against Haden and Denali, they are the top hunters in the school, more kills than any hunter and angel, and I'm sure Haden is just a tad bit stronger than Denali, she's good but mana wise, Haden might have the edge." Abe explained as the not couple made their way to where they had found seats, Mel was in five inch block heels that gave him a bit of height, his almost body hugging pants complimented his figure, his seafoam see through round neck shirt complimented what Necmi was wearing, he had black pants too, and had gone for a bold gold and black airmax, never mind Angelo who seemed to have combined what his caretakers were wearing in his own outfit.

"Is it me or they are moving in slow motion." An angel seated above the four asserted and everyone nodded. "It's not." A whole other group replied as the not couple made their way to their seats finally. "Hey what did we miss, we got to the school late." Mel exclaimed and they all wondered where they had gone. "I finally took him on a date." Necmi announced as Laurie was in awe. "Can we finally say you're official?" She mumbled and Mel chuckled but refused. "Wait for tomorrow, we have another one tonight, you're also babysitting." Necmi responded and the girl's eyes lit up. "Yay, babe we get to practise." She squealed shaking Hamish who seemed mortified by the idea of babysitting a child, Hamish could and would do anything, but taking care of a baby, that wasn't his territory, he was deathly afraid of children, especially when they manipulated him with just being overly cute. Before any of them could say anything the horn blasted all throughout the arena.

Haden, he knew they would drop out of the fight, they had always been pampered by the arch angel, he babied them so much they got soft and overtime grew to depend  on him, they never knew what it meant to be put under the boot of an angel, to be told that you were worthless even when you weren't, they never knew the struggle, but he did, he knew what it all felt like, how it hurt to be rejected by your people, he was grateful to the new kid, he had caused a change in the school, a change he wholly embraced, he was also thankful that the new headmaster didn't have his head up his ass, he saw through their bullshit, and now the school would have an actual difference, he would fight to make sure his people were given what was owed to them, even if it killed him. So when the horn blew he was back to back with Denali. "Take as many out with your strongest attack, it'll make the job easier." He ordered the girl and she nodded pulling out her sterling and began writing in the air.

Haden had done the same as they both looked to each other and spoke simultaneously. "Purge of the gods." It released bolts of black lightning on to all the hunters who were fighting in the arena, those who reacted quickly took cover and those unable to, were wiped out. "Whoa, I like them." Mel commented as a smirk came to his lips, it was devious, and they all seemed to notice but didn't care. In the dome from the nine hundred who had been in there at the start, Haden and Denali had wiped out five hundren with their attack, those who survived tasted the steel of those who had aswell, Haden breathed hard as he pulled mana into his body in order to heal from the attack, it had drained him severely but it was worth it, when he felt better he lunged for the nearest hunter near him and round housed him, before the boy fell to his knees, Haden tackled him to the ground and plunged a dagger into his stomach instantly taking out the boy from the game.

Most contestants were avoiding him as he took out every opponent that came his way, five hunters surrounded him and they all aimed glyph circles at him, they were ganging up on him, he quickly drew the runes to deflect the attack and when they did attack, it was rebounded to the five of them making them stagger back, Haden lunged for the first one, grabbing his throat and slamming him into the ground, a sword slashed at his hair as he evaded the second one, he pulled up his sterling and waved it over his shadow rune, his shadow pulled apart from his body and lunged for the sword wielding hunter, the third had aimed arrows at him that whizzed in the air before he cut them down with a blade he had strapped to his back, leaping forward, Haden came down on the boy who was much taller than him with a hunting knife trained for the arm of the shooter, once in close range he threw it and it lodged itself in the hunter making him scream, wasting no time Haden conjured holy light and blasted it toward the second opponent who was being suffocated by his shadow then the third.

The fourth and fifth fell to the ground and were taken out, they had failed to sense Denali who was behind them hidden in a cloak, before she could move toward Haden, the boy threw another knife past Denali which went right into the shoulder of a girl who wanted to ambush Denali, an explosion in the west corner made the whole arena shake as more hunters were taken out of the battle. "This is intense." Rizzavi mumbled as Abe patted him on the back, and indeed it was tense because the hunters desrved someone strong and what better way to show how strong you are, by beating the competition, Mel and his whole group watched on as a lot of hunters were taken out of the competition in brutal ways, one explosion that shook the arena between colliding power had Mel with stars in his eyes, it was truly magnificent.

In the dome, from hundreds there was only ten left, Haden and Denali knew they had to take them on or find a way to get rid of them in one blast. "Do you remember those symbols I showed you?" Denali questioned her partner who nodded right then. "Good, we need to copy what Kean did the last fight, absorb all the energy in here then unleash it." She explained just as she readied herself for the attack, but no one came for her, they all turned and aimed for Haden. "Shit." The boy cursed as he drew the runes identical to Denali, as he finished, he was kicking away the first attacker, Denali assisted tackling the girl down and pummeling her face with fists, but she was overtaken and the tables turned, Denali was now on the receiving end of the fists, another hunter summoned a flash flood and it rippled out drowning everyone in water but it gave them all a chance to separate and heal, if only that were true.

In the water the hunter preyed and struck the ones who couldn't summon platforms to get on, he took out four just as the horn signaled it aswell. "How much longer?" Haden asked as he dove into the water, like a shark he followed a blood trail, he used a bit of mana to launch himself out of the water and onto the hunter who was looking out for the one who caused the flood, Haden slashed at their abdomen, then their chest before pulling them into the water and staying there, the horn blew five times, meaning only five were left. "Now Haden!" Denali screamed and Haden didn't waste time, he dove into the receeding water and swam to his ally, once he was safely on the platform they created, the circle appeared above them, it shifted into something else, a sphere of power that could explode at any moment.

"We need to find Crow, he's the strangest opponent we have." Denali asserted but Crow was nowhere to be found. "Let me lure him out, release once I come up for air or whistle." Haden explained as he dove back into the water again, he waved his sterling over several runes and glyphs on his body just as he found Crow who was seated at the bottom of the water, Haden knew challenging him was bad news but he was determined to give it his best shot, he shot down straight for the large hunter like a torpedo, once he was in range he quickly drew symbols that released compressed air, all of them hit the target and above the water, it seemed as if seismic charges where exploding,  Crow wasn't happy with the atack so he lunged for Haden who landed a fist on his right cheek throwing Crow back, he knew not to let up, so he didn't, the tables turned, Crow attacked with as much ferocity as he could muster, smacking his body into the wall over and over again, Haden knew soon he'd have to come up for air so he did something unconventional.

He played possum, as if he had been knocked into the wall way too many times, because at some point Crow had overturned the fight and was slamming him into the wall again, viciously. So when Haden played dead, the brute didn't think about it much until the glow of several ignited runes illuminated the dark blue water, Haden speared Crow and shot upward and out of the water with the might of a whale. "Denali!" He called out with a whistle, Haden unhooked himself from Crow's body and maneuvered himself in the air to put all his remaining mana into force energy that he used to blow Crow up even higher, as he fell to the water covered ground like a wounded bird Denali was quick to catch him mid air eyes glowing a fiery red. She created a shield in seconds as her bomb accumulated enough energy and the moment it touched Crow, it exploded with the force of all the previous attack combined.

Bright light and flames engulfed the whole arena, it caused most to cover their eyes but not Necmi, Mel and Angelo, they just slipped dark sunglasses onto their eyes and kept watching as one by one the other hunters were taken out of the completion. As the fire and light receded, only two were left in the arena. She had a bleeding broken arm and he, he had injured his whole body. "We have our champions!" The headmaster cheered as everyone stood up in the arena to give a standing ovation to the two hunters. "Look sister, we did it, we won, we'll change everything for our people." Haden spoke as he leaned on his twin, Denali, the two of them turned to wave at the crowd with big smiles on their faces, they weren't taken out by the dome, no, they did what champions did, they limped out with pride. As they passed the participants entrance, a man was waiting for them there, he wore a bright pink suit that seemed to go with his hair.

He was both beautiful in his masculinity and dangerous. "Congratulations, Haden, Denali, I expect a lot of great things from you, but just because you won doesn't mean the fight for your kind stops here, it's only begun, prepare yourselves, not a lot of people will acknowledge you, don't worry about them, you have my support and I will do my part as well." Harry had said what the two had wanted to hear ever since they started studying at Harwin, and had also been acknowledged by the one man in the school everyone respected, it was an honor. "I'm very proud of you—" He asserted handing them to pendants that marked their victory. "Never take them off, you've done well." He added with a dead set look in his eyes, the twins bowed before leaving with smiles and just as they rounded the corner to the med centre they clipped on the pendants, whatever it was meant for, they trusted the headmaster.

Back at the entrance used by students Mel was pouting trying to get Necmi to buy him a candy apple. "You've eaten your daily dose of sugar, it's enough, for both of you." He sternly reprimanded both the brothers who looked even cuter pouting together. "Let's go, we have a date to go on." Necmi finally announced as Angelo made grabby hands for Laurie who squealed. "Be good, and no juice after nine, kiwi, strawberry and avocado no other fruits or veggies, and also make sure his little toosie is moisturized before he goes to bed and I placed his favourite bedtime story on the bed so—." Mel kept rambling and Necmi groaned, he grabbed his lover and tossed him over his shoulders. "Lets go, she'll be fine." He argued with a guttural growl. "Ten cookies max!" Mel yelled as he wiggled in Necmi's hold whilst everyone laughed. "Have fun you two!"
