~I really like the idea of Jay and Harumi bonding over being adopted and so they basically become siblings so that is how I will be writing their dynamic. Also their is literally only one swear word but I figured it didn't hurt to give a warning~

Harumi stood in the kitchen, the light from the microwave casting a small yellow glow over her face as she waited for her tea to warm up. She had been struggling to sleep the last few nights due to nightmares so the only thing that brought her any peace during the late hours of night was a cup of tea and one of the many scrolls that Wu had. She would have stayed lost in her thoughts if it weren't for the fridge opening. The whitett looked over to see Jay meticulously looking through the second light source.

"Gosh I must be exhausted, I didn't even notice you coming in" Harumi yawned "what are you trying to find?"

"Whip cream" was the only response that the girl got. It took her a minute to process what her brotherly figure had said before she responded with, "you can't just chug a whole can of whip cream."

"Fucking watch me" Jay retorted, his eyes never once leaving the fridge. Harumi wanted to laugh but she had promised Nya that she wouldn't let the lightning master eat so much sugar at night. Taking a deep breather Harumi calmed herself and quickly came up with a plan to, one get Jay to stay away from the whip cream and two try to keep herself distracted from her haunting thoughts.

"Alright Zappy, if you put the whip cream back we can go to the 24 hour market and get a couple treats, but you have to promise that you won't get just candy."

"Are you paying?" Jay asked, finally looking at Harumi. "Only if I get to drive any vehicle of my choice."

As the two walked through the market, well Harumi walked Jay tan through every aisle putting just about everything he saw in the cart.

"Jay just because I used to be a princess doesn't mean I have unlimited funds, we can't get this much stuff." The whitett sighed, as she tried to keep up with her shopping partner.

"Ah, come on Rumi you're no fun, Lloyd has had too much of an influence on you" Jay whined, ignoring what Harumi said and grabbing more snacks. The younger girl just sighed and placed a box of dried seaweed in the cart. One car karaoke session and 6,368 yen (about $45 if you're curious) later the two found themselves watching Starfarer and drunk on sugar.

"By the way I know you snuck the whip cream" Harumi yawned, laying her head on Jay's shoulder.

"You aren't going to tell Nya right" the brunette asked, his eyes going wide with fear.

"No," Harumi laughed "but only if you don't tell Lloyd I used his money." Little did they know that Kai had happened to have been watching them the whole time.
