1st Year

Ever since a child, you were a shy little kid. Born into a wealthy pure blooded family, you were homeschooled until you were 11. Your parents; your dad being a Gryffindor and your mother being a Ravenclaw, said that they would be proud of you no matter what house you'd be placed in. In the end, the Sorting Hat was placed on your head and it yelled out like an angry old man, "Hufflepuff!" The table cheered as you shyly shuffled towards an empty spot beside a thin lanky boy in the same year as you. "Hey!" You looked up at the thin guy and blushed, his glowing blue eyes staring at you. Being at 11 years of age, he was pretty tall for his age, his height made your neck ache because you had to look up at him. "H-Hey..." He smiled, his gleaming teeth showing and put his hand out. "I'm Cedric. Cedric Diggory." You answered but it came out as a stuttering mess.

"I'm L/N Y/N... I mean, Y/F/N." He laughed and ruffled your H/C hair. "You're adorable, Y/N! I'm pretty sure we're going to be best friends!" You did a small smile, your cheeks flushing as you shrugged. "I'm not very fun to hang around, Cedric..." He laughed in a way a child would. "Nonsense! I'm pretty sure you're an amazing girl. I mean, you got the looks down." First of all, you were surprised at how straight forward he was acting but you really didn't mind. As long as you had a friend. You blushed harder and bit your lip. "Th-Th-Th-Thanks..."

4th Year

The two of you bonded like glue. He grew taller and a lot handsomer than when he was a few years back. You enjoyed the little talks you had and he enjoyed you cheering for him from the sidelines during his Quidditch matches. During your hard lonely times, he'd have tons of chats with you. "Y/N, we've been studying for hours." You ignored his sulking and focused on the book in front of you. "We just started, Ced. Quit sulking and study or you'll fail the OWLS exam." His face was buried in a book literally, his nose smooched on the crevice of the spine. "I don't wanna! I'm not getting any smarter." You hid a laugh and flipped to the next page. There was silence as he continued to "study" and you were quietly read your pages. By now, you're feeling very tired and yawned. "Hey, Y/N..." You turned to him and rubbed your eyes. "Yeah?" He bit his bottom lip and blushed a bright red. "Do you have anyone on mind by any chance?" You looked at him with a confused face.

"Like, do I like someone?" He nodded and his heart beat faster and faster as anticipation built up in him. "Well..." You tapped your chin. "No one right now... Why'd you ask?" His heart dropped to the floor and he gave out a long sigh. "Never mind..." You patted his back and continued reading. "Do you have any specific things you'd fine in a guy then?" You mentally made a note on the page you left and placed the book aside. "Umm..." He waited for your answer. "Well... I like guys that don't... Lie to me. Guys that are caring, loyal and understanding are enough for me." Cedric nodded but you had more to say. "I also like guys that are sort of romantic? Like kissing in the rain or something..." You just realised what you've said and flustered. "I mean, not that I need the first kiss to be in rain or whatever...." You covered your face with your hands in embarrassment, not wanting Cedric to see the bright blush on your face.

Cedric felt his heart skip a beat and thought, It doesn't really matter where you want to be kissed. He smiled to himself. I just want to be the one kissing you.

7th year

You peeked from over your book to see Cedric placing his name in the Goblet of Fire with ease. He went back to his new group of friends and  hugged them tightly. Only 2 year ago he had started to drift away from you and you didn't know why. He grew into fame and girls started to crawl at his feet but he just went on with his life. You became a loner, a dork who would spend time deep in books and writing poetry in your notebook. He was with his friends when he saw that familiar shy girl concentrated in reading sitting alone. He wanted to approach but he didn't want to get too attached to you. Its so cliché because he loves you and doesn't want to hurt you. Its been too long since he talked to you and he wanted to talk to you again. He swears to God on it. Suddenly, he felt his legs move on their own and they led him to that girl who looked up to see that popular boy standing in front of you.

"Hey..." He lowered down and sat down next to you, looking over to your book. "How are you?" You hit your lip and shrugged. "I'm fine, I guess." His fingers met yours and his hand curled into yours. "I'm sorry... Its been years since we last talked." You weren't angry but you weren't happy either. "I'm..." You started but immediately stopped your thoughts. "I'm just glad that you started you talk to me... I guess." He smiled and hugged you, his warm embrace filling you up. "I'm glad we're friends again,  Ced." That hurts him because he loved you more than a friend and that sentence stabbed his heart like a spear. "Hehe.... Yeah." He spent the rest of the day with you, celebrating together that he was the Hogwarts champion. Now, you were walking together in the woods talking about his accomplished goal. "Congrats." He chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck, being modest. "Its nothing. I mean, Harry Potter is the Champion too."

You laughed and its been so long since the last time he heard you laugh. "You're so beautiful." He said to himself. "Did you say something, Ced?" He blushed and shook his head. "Nothing." Then, drop after drop, rain started to drop from the grey clouds but it wasn't so heavy nor was it a drizzle. "Its raining..." He'd expect another reaction from you but you looked up to the heavens like it was an amazing phenomenon. He looked at you and blushed harder as he took off his robe and used it to shelter him. "We should go." He placed the robe over your head too and tried to keep his cool. "Hey! Get under the robe! I don't want you to get sick." You blushed and you both walked until you were under a tree. "Ah... That was an unexpected rain." It was still raining, the crops hitting both your heads and wetting your hair. There was a moment of staring into each others eyes. Your fingers played with the end of your wet locks and his gaze averted to your lips.

He leaned in and your eyes widened as his lips touched your own softly. Your heartbeat was racing and your cheeks are heating up. He lets go and keeps a small gap between your lips and his eyes opened slightly. "Was that too sudden?" You tiptoed, placed a longing kiss on his lips and he kissed back, his eyelashes wet with rain. His hands cupped your cheeks and your arms were wrapped around his neck. You parted and your lips were inches apart, the rain dying down. "I love you, Y/N. Ever since first year. I love you." Upon hearing this, you smiled and said, "I love you too, Ced."
