"Hey, Ced." It was the weekends and you found Cedric near Diagon Alley, signaturing his Hufflepuff scarf. "Hey, Y/N." You followed him into Sugarplum's Sweetshop and talked to him for a little. "So, heard what happened to Harry Potter again." You rolled your eyes and picked up a Chocolate Frog that was jumping on the shelves. "Yeah... I think the prisoner wasn't so bad after all." "Why'd you say that?" You topped the frog in your mouth and watched as he went up to the counter to pay. "I've... Made his acquaintance." He laughed. "What?" He cleared his laughter and smiled widely. "For a Muggle, you can make quick friends with a murderer." You pursed your lips and folded your arms as you two walked through the streets. After buying some new books from Flourish and Blotts' and some ice cream from Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour, you Apparated onto a hill, Cedric's idea. "Nice view."

"I know." You leaned back and licked on the ice cream scoop. "Can we have another day like this?" Your face frowned a little bit as you had business to do. "Sorry." He frowned. "I have somewhere to be tomorrow. Terribly sorry, Ced." He sighed and shifted in his spot, taking a bite out of his food. "You can come with if you want to." Cedric's head tilted up to see your E/C eyes that he loved and yes, he has a crush on you. "Really?" You smiled and nodded. "Of course! I mean, sure." You shared a goofy laugh and continued to sit there until sunset.

The next day

"Sorry for being late!" You looked to Cedric who was running your way, panting heavily. He was wearing a black hoodie over his buttoned shirt and another T-shirt. He wore jeans and converse to finish his devilish handsome style. "Its fine. The store doesn't close. Its 24 hour store." He just followed you around the town and hesitated when you walked towards a convenient store. "Well, come on then." You opened the door for him and you walked in behind him as he looked around with amazement. "Where are we?" You smiled. "A convenient store where I come every Sunday to get my favourite drink." You led him through the confusing mazes of shelves until you arrived to a slushy machine in the back. "What's that?" It had an assortment of 16 different flavours. "Its slush. It so good." You went to take the biggest cup size and layered each flavour inside.

"Is it rainbows? Is it poisonous?" You giggled at the confused Hufflepuff student. "Try it." He hesitated but took the cold plastic cup into his right hand before bringing the red straw to his plump lips. He drank a long sip and immediately handed it back to you. His hand gripped the side of his head and he groaned in pain. "Agh... What's happening?" You slurped a little for yourself and began explaining. "You're having a brain freeze. I recommend not to drink it all in one slurp." He watched as you calmly drank it without any problem. "Why do you drink this stuff?" You sighed and looked away from him. A/N; This is where they began the song.

"I've been through ten high schools. They start to get blurry. No point planting roots cause you're up in a hurry." You sighed and nursed the drink. Cedric watched with sympathy. "My dad keeps two suitcases packed in the den. Now its only the matter of when."

"I don't learn the names." You shrugged and saw that Cedric was sort of offended. "Don't bother with faces. All I can trust is this concrete oasis." A small smile crept to your face. "Seem every time I'm about to despair, there's a 7/11 right there."

"Each store is the same, from Las Vegas to Boston. Linoleum isles that I love to get lost in." You took his hand and twirled him around. "And I pray at the alter of slush. I pray for the sweet frozen rush." He looked at you and saw the face of a wondrous girl who's been through a lot. You took a slurp of the sweet slush before looking into his eyes.

"Freeze your brain." He blushed as your face neared his. "Slurp on that straw, get lost in the pain." He bit his lips and watched as you leaned against the walls. "Happiness comes when everything's numb. Who needs to cocaine?" He didn't know what that was but he just played along smoothly. "Freeze your brain." You took a longish slurp. "Freeze your brain." You fell backwards onto the floor, clutching the sides of your head. "Doesn't your mother tell you not to drink that crap?" He held his hand out. "Well, not anymore."

"When mum was alive, we lived halfway normal. Now, its just me and my dad, we're less formal." Cedric awkwardly pulled you up, the cup halfway finished by now. "I learned to cook pasta. I learned to pay rent. Learned the world doesn't owe you a cent." You fell into his chest, your arms hanging being his shoulders and your faces inches apart. You both were blushing and you backed away.

"You're planning your future, Cedric Diggory. You'll graduate Hogwarts and marry a hottie." He'd looked rather pours of himself. "But the sky's gonna hurt when it falls." You gripped onto the openings on his hoodie, pulling him closer. "So, you better start building some walls." He gulped as you let him go. "Freeze your brain."

"Swim in the ice, get lost in the pain." He took a sip from the rushing sweet drink and handed it back to you. "Shit your eyes tight till you vanish from sight. Nothing remains." Your eyes started to water as you took the last quarter in one slurp before tossing it into a nearby trash can. "Freeze your brain." Your hands gripped onto his shoulders as cold and hot tears fell from your eyes, rolling down your cheeks. "Shatter your skull. Fight pain with more pain. Forget who you are, burden your load. Forget in six weeks and you'll be back on the road." He looked in confusion and worry as your forehead leaned into his chest, you screaming out the words.

"When the voice in your head, says, 'you're better better off dead', don't open a vein." You dragged him to the floor to as you fell weak on your knees, wet cheeks and blurry vision. "Just freeze your brain. Freeze your brain." You took out 5 pounds and handed them to Cedric. "Go on and freeze your brain." You looked deep into his eyes, your once frown turned into a sad, crooked smile. "Try it."

A/N: End of song. Continued onwards with normal writing.

He kissed you right there as you two were on the tiled floor, taking your aback. You kissed back and entangled one hand into his hair, tugging it a little bit. When you parted, he first helped you up and paid for the slushy with the 5 pounds, walking out of the store and Apparated back to that same hill. "You kissed me and you're your not going to say anything?" He bit his plump lip and breathed in. "I just want to get to talk to you privately." You blushed and waited for him to begin talking which was like after 5 seconds of awkward silence. "I like you. Like 'like' like you. A lot." You grinned and pecked his cheek, his nose afterwards. "I love you too."
