Loki and Kayla stood at the bifrost saying their goodbyes to Frigga and Odin. Frigga pulled Kayla aside.

"Loki will teach you to use your new powers but If you need any help Please don't hesitate to ask, you are family now"

"Thank you Frigga" 

Frigga hugged Kayla and Heimdall pushed his sword into the podium and opened the bifrost. Kayla walked up to Loki and took his hand and the next second there were standing on the helipad of Avengers tower.

"We're back" said Kayla looking out over New York

Kayla and Loki walked inside to see the Christmas decorations still up even though it was clearly over. Kayla's presents were still under the tree.

"Jarvis where is the team?"

'Downtown fighting off the new Wreaking crew Miss Stark'

Kayla looked at Loki who seemed to have the same idea, the next second Kayla was in her suit and Loki in his Armor, they appeared downtown where they saw the avengers getting beaten to a pulp and so they joined the fight.

Kayla and Loki worked in unison fighting off the enhanced men who were trying to rob a bank. The team looked up to see Kayla and Loki, they were relieved they were back as they were losing the fight.

Once the fight was over Tony walked up to Kayla and stared at her for a few second before hugging her. Thor also hugged his brother.

"Its good to have you back kid, Don't ever do that again" said Tony

"Do what?"

"Leave without saying anything"

"Steve knew where I was"

"Still"

"It is good to see you brother Is everything alright now"

Loki looked at Kayla "Perfect" he said

The team returned to the tower and sat in the lounge, Kayla opened her presents at long last. There was however a security breach when a man appeared in the lounge.

"Can we help you?" asked Steve

"We are here for the girl" said another man who appeared behind the group.

"Girl?"

"He means me dad" said Kayla who stood forward "The charges?"

"Charges? Kayla what's going on?" asked Tony

"Using unregistered magic" said the man in front of the group.

Kayla sighed and turned to face the avengers, she walked up to Tony and hugged him. Kayla then walked up to Loki and hugged him before pulling away and walking towards the man but she stopped.

"Fuck it" she said before turning around and she sped walked up to Loki and kissed him.

Kayla pulled away and said "Take care of them for me" and then walked up to the man who disappeared into thin air with Kayla.

"What the hell just happened?" asked Bruce

"J.A.R.V.I.S. call Malfoy" said Tony 

'Already done sir' said the AI

An hour later and the team were still sitting in the lounge as quiet as possible they were confused and they missed Kayla, but they all stood up when white haired man in a black suit appeared in the lounge.

"Draco what did you find out?" asked Tony who stood up

"Makayla has been arrested by the ministry" he said 

"Why?"

"They sensed a new magic within her, magic of Asgardian origin and they see it as a threat, given who she is"

"What happened on Asgard brother?" asked Thor

Loki pulled up his sleeve showing his brother the sigil on his wrist. Thor's eyes widened and he sighed.

"As happy as I am for you brother, it would seem Lady Makayla is in need of your help"

"Its your magic inside her?" asked Draco

"Yes"

"Then you have to remove it"

"I can't"

Tony shoved Loki against a nearby wall and held him up by his shirt "You will" he said

"I can't, its irreversible"

"Point break?" said Tony tilting his head slightly but never looking away from Loki.

"It is true Tony, a Life bond is permanent"

Tony let Loki go and backed away.

"If I could help I would"

"You can testify on her behalf, you all can"

"Where and when?" asked Steve

"In an Hour at the ministry"

An hour later and The avengers were sitting in what looked like a court room centred around one chair. Many people in robes came in and took their seats, they all rose when a man in red robes came in and sat in the chair which was obviously for the 'judge'.

"Bring in the girl"

Everyone watched as two men dragged in a women who was beaten, her face was covered in bruises and blood. Loki's fist clenched tight enough that he drew blood, he wanted to kill them all for hurting her.

"State your name" said the man

"Makayla Maria Stark"

"Your birth name"

"Adrianna Riddle-Lestrange" said Kayla as she kept her head up sitting in the chair

"Date of birth"

"July 2nd 1997"

"The charges against you are the use of unknown magic and failure to register your new magic with the ministry, how do you plead?"

"Minister if I please?" said an older man with long white hair came into the room.

"This matter does not concern you Lucius"

"This girl is my Niece so I think it does and do you think its appropriate to beat up those in your care?"

"What happens in the cells in not my concern" said the man

"You are the minister of magic in America, your concern is for the safety and protection of all American witches and wizards"

"Say your piece and leave Malfoy"

Lucius went on for about five minutes, all his words in defence of Kayla.

"Enough!" boomed the minister "All those is favour of punishment, raise your hand"

Half the room raised their hands.

"It would seem the numbers are in my favour Malfoy"

"Count again Minister" said Lucius who pointed at the man standing next to the exit.

"Potter, what are you doing here?"

"My job Minister, let her go, she is no threat to you"

"I sentence you Adrianna Lestrange to one week in the witches cell, court adjourned"

"No please, no, you can't do this, please!" pleaded Makayla as they dragged her away.

As they did Kayla made eye contact with Loki and mouthed 'I love you' and then she was gone.

The team regrouped at the tower with Draco and Lucius.

"What is the witches cell?" asked Thor

"A cell that makes Witches and Wizards insane, it shows them faces of those they love and twists their words to hurt its prisoner, no one has ever still been sane after three days"

"Kayla is in there for a week" said Tony

"That's barbaric" exclaimed Natasha

"It is, I will do what I can, you know that Anthony, but even my influence has its limits" said Lucius placing his hand on Tony's shoulder

"Thank you for you help"

"She's family, send me a letter when she returns"

"I will" 

Draco and Lucius left and the Avengers sat in the living room in solemn silence. Loki sat there still in shock, he had just found his love and now he had lost her, he was broken inside, he loved Makayla so much he didn't want her to be broken. He thought about the fact hat the Makayla he knew was not the one he would be getting back and it killed him.
