Smack!

Star sighed as she bent down to pick up the book that had fallen.  This was such a normal occurrence she wondered why she hadn't been banned from the library since 1st year.

Another hand was already upon the book, and she heard a familiar voice.

"There's no need to bow at my presence you know," Draco chuckled.

She looked at him with a smile of disbelief. He picked up her book and they stood up at the same time.

He handed it to her and she thanked him.

"Um..w-would you like to join me?"

Draco smiled, looking at her affectionately.

"You're adorable." He ruffled her head. She laughed slightly.

"Ok then..."

They headed to a quiet corner, where Star had a stack of books ready. There were several rolls of parchment aswell. They were on a desk in front of a bookshelf.

Draco looked at the mess in horror, "How much homework do you have?!"  He glanced at her, fingering some of the parchment rolls in shocked curiosity.

She gave him a look that said "please don't ask me that".

He returned with a look of sympathy.

"Awww, you take too many extra classes!"

She tilted her head side to side as she placed a book on the table, taking a different one. He glanced across the shelves, but decided to take one off the stacks already on the desk.

Planning on sitting down, he turned away and placed the book the floor, before noticing that Star was still standing at the desk. She was frowning, deep in thought.

Concerned, he asked what was wrong. She seemed to come out of a trance in her reply.

"I was just thinking about how much I have to do over the weekend." She sighed and rubbed her temple. "Just..." she groaned, closing her eyes.

"Hey, you stopped me getting too stressed when I had that essay. Time for you to take a step back."

She turned to him, opening her eyes, a panicked look across her face.

"But I can't, I have two essays due Tuesday! I need to look up things for them and make notes an-"

Draco put a finger to her lips and shushed her.

"Hey, you are a fast reader and I know what you are like writing essays. And I'm here to help, I can help research things. So, take a step back."

He slipped an arm around her waist, looking straight at her.

"Ok?" He said, taking his hand away.

Placing a soft kiss on her lips, he told her to get a storybook so she could have a relaxed evening.

She stood dumbfounded, and he chuckled. "Go!" He encouraged. She slipped away to some bookshelf,  and returned holding a large book. Hiding behind it, she looked awkward.

They both preferred sitting on the library floor, so Draco was already there when she returned. He smiled at her awkwardness, knowing he would never get over how cute she was.

"Cuddle with me?" He pleaded, holding out his arms.

She smiled shyly and put the book on the floor as she sat down opposite him on her knees. He smiled back and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her towards him sharply.

Falling against his chest, she looked at him in shock. He leaned against the bookshelf with his arms around her waist and hair.

All he could see was her adorable, surprised face looking up at his, foreheads touching. He laughed and kissed her on the temple.

Once she had gotten over the shock she leaned against his chest, melting into the cuddle, his head resting on hers.

After a while, Star spoke tentatively.

"Draco?"

"Yes love?" he replied softly.

"C-could I read?"

She felt his laugh vibrate through her, and saw his beautiful smile.

"Of course!"

She wriggled away from him and picked up her book. In the meantime, he propped himself slightly higher up the bookshelf.

When she returned, she leaned against his side, with his arm around her. She was facing slightly away from him, but not her entire back was against him.

The book was laid across her lap, and she soon became engrossed, the tension in her body disappearing faintly.

He was content to just glance at the book, before closing his eyes and leaning his head gently against the back of hers.

Then after several moments, he decided, using the arm he had around her to reach through her hair, and begin to run his fingers backwards and forwards along her head.

Slowly he moved his fingers in circles, pressing harder slightly.

This carried on for a few moments, and Star closed her eyes, enjoying the bliss. Draco smiled, glad to feel that she was more relaxed.

When he paused, she turned and nuzzled into him. Burying her head at the side of his chest, just under his arm. The book had been placed by her side.

Then she leaned her head on his shoulder and he looked down at her, chuckling. She was so adorable when she got affectionate, which wasn't often.

"You're just like a cat you know," he said.

She responded by nuzzling into his neck, and he kissed her on the top of her head.

After a few moments of Draco meaning his head on top of hers, she pulled away and then lay her head on his shoulder so that she was snuggled into the crook of his arm.

Sighing, she said that she wished they could stay like this for the weekend. Draco laughed and replied that he wanted the same.

Reminded of her stress, he moved the arm he had around her so that he could rub the side of her head soothingly.

He was certain that if she were any more like a cat she would be purring.

Smiling to himself, he wondered how it was possible that she had gotten cuter.  However, he was more happy that he knew how to help her with stress. After all, she could always tell when he was feeling overwhelmed, and that he needed her to snuggle close to him to feel comforted.

He planned to give her frequent head rubs when cuddling, so that she knew he was always there to soothe her.
