I'm sorry for not doing this years ago — I truly thought I'd already done it! I have mixed feelings about this ship. On one hand, they're adorable together and could work as a short-and-sweet romance. They're both incredibly loyal and brave with similar values, which makes them compatible in some ways, at least.

Unfortunately, though, I struggle to see a romantic relationship between them. I don't know if they'd progress past friendship. Also, I think Ginny needs someone more headstrong and fierce, rather than someone more soft (but no less brave) like Neville. I also don't think they have that much in common interest-wise. I imagine that Ginny is into quidditch (obviously), socialising, fashion, and other high-energy tasks. Neville, however, is more into herbology, staying home, and quiet tasks like drawing (or so I think) and cooking. I don't see their careers helping either. Ginny has a very fast-paced and challenging job which is basically the opposite of Neville's more intellectual and stable career as a herbology teacher. This could clash, especially when it comes to her hours and/or days off, as well as what I'm sure are frequent trips overseas for quidditch matches.

However, I could see them working in a poly relationship, where their lifestyles wouldn't affect everyone in the polycule as much. Plus, I think another person could really balance Ginny's needs. See, I don't really ship this or Linny, or Nuna, but if you put them all together...then yes.
