Preference #4: He realizes he likes you
Harry: Harry couldn't believe it, but he had fallen for you. He was a fourth year and you were only a second year, but despite the age gap, he appreciated you. You always supported him, even through the Triwizard Tournament smear campaign Draco had arranged. When Draco tried to give you one of the badges, you spat at him and stormed off. You made new badges that read 'Potter Smells of Victory' and got all your friends in your year to wear them. Soon enough, the badges spread throughout the school, catching Harry's attention and ruffling Draco's feathers. Pansy and her friends occasionally taunted you with insults in the hallways, but you could care less. Harry noticed how much more confident you'd become, and also how much you had supported him. He also thought that for a twelve year old, you were very pretty, but he didn't make a move.
Ron: Ron realized he liked you in your third year, at an unexpected time: when your family came to spend Christmas Eve and the following day with the Weasleys. You had slept over before, but this was different. For the Christmas Eve party, you wore a white sleeveless floral dress. You had let your (Y/H/C) hair down, and wore a (Y/F/C) necklace that brought out the color in your eyes. He had known for ten years, and even thought of you as a fairly good-looking girl. But until that evening, he never saw you as beautiful. He was so taken aback that this was (Y/N), the girl who'd made him be Prince Charming in all their childhood make believe games, and who'd outdone him in sports in primary school. "Man," Fred said, nudging Ron. "(Y/N) looks hot." "You don't like her, do you," Ron asked nervously. "Nah," Fred said with a smirk. "She's all yours." Ron felt his ears turn red as you went over to him. He had fallen hard.
Fred: Fred knew he liked you when he saw you for the first time on the Hogwarts Express. You hadn't noticed him, as you were busy writing letters to your friends back in America. The sunlight reflected off of your (Y/H/C) hair, and you seemed very pretty. A few first years, including Ginny, had gathered around you, interested in the American Muggle candies you'd bought with you. "You've never had Milk Duds before," he heard you say in surprise. He'd heard Americans thought British accents were sexy, but your accent seemed much more exotic and sensual then anything he'd heard in Britain. A few days later, you ran into him and hurled on him, and he didn't even care. He finally had an excuse to chat up the American girl.
George: George knew he liked you when you were in third year and he was in fifth. Over the past two years, you had always covered for him when he needed it, and you were constantly enthusiastic and affectionate once you got to know him. For the first few months you spent at Hogwarts, you were as cautious around George as everyone else, but two years later, you had become much more open. Despite your shyness, you were a touchy-feely person with your close friends. In fact, that was what frustrated him. You would give him a tight warm squeeze after he walked you to class that would seem like a good sign, but then he'd see you give Harry a kiss on the cheek for teaching you a new Qudditch move, or see you with your arm around Hermione after she helped you study. Besides that, the same shy tendencies that he found adorable weren't much help. If you seemed nervous or quieter around him, he could guess it was because you like him back...or because there was a big Quidditch match coming up, or a major test in Potions. And despite his own confidence, he couldn't come out and say he liked you, for fear of scaring you off. George was stuck.
Neville: Neville had liked you since first year, when you were the only one to talk to him on the train ride to Hogwarts. You were more confident than he was, and he admired that. When Draco and his Slytherin minions made fun of him, you stood up for him. You even decked Draco once, and had to go to detention. Neville deliberately started talking in Transfiguration just so you wouldn't be alone; after all, as he saw it, it was his fault you were in detention. Of course, he was too shy to say anything, and had decided from the beginning that his crush on you would remain a secret.
Draco: Draco fell for you third year. You were in Slytherin together, and you were one of the few girls not throwing herself at him. Even though it might have been because you were childhood friends, he still saw you as a challenge. You would tease him by pretending to flirt with boys in other houses, and he would fall for it every time. Draco grew more and more frustrated, especially since you were dismissive, even mocking of, his attempts to woo you. You didn't seem to care when he used Pansy to make you jealous, and you laughed at his attempts to pick you up. But being Draco, he was sure that one day you would succumb to his charm.
