Draco watched you head towards your class. This was the only time you didn't hang around your friend group, walking to your first class.

You were in a three person friend group. Carla was the head of the group basically. Your typical popular girl. Bleached blonde hair, bright blue eyes, slim figure and incredibly tall.. also a horrible attitude, lots of detention and a lot of bad grades.

Amaih was your other friend. She had the same attitude as Carla. She had brown hair and blue eyes but she got good grades.

To be honest you didn't like them. You were friends with them because your parents knew theirs. Bloodlines and connections. Almost a forced friendship.

Draco had a friendship on his own with Theo and Blaise. The other girls were in constant battle with them. Always annoyed at each other.. but they liked you. You were nothing like that.

'Hey Y/N.' Blaise said.

Draco looked up as soon as he said that. You stopped and turned to them. You smiled at them. Draco made your heart skip a beat every time you saw him. But you knew you couldn't be with him. Never. Because of your friends.

'What's up guys?' You asked while walking over to them.

'I- Draco, I mean, got you that potion ingredient you wanted.'

Theo slipped a little flask into Draco's hand. Draco had a crush on you and they knew. They had been trying to help you.

You linked your eyes with Draco and gavehim a smile. It made him melt inside but he kept his composure.

'Really? Sweet! Thank you.'

You opened your hand and Fraco gave you the flask.

'No problem.' He smiled.

You stepped towards him.

'Hey so I had question.' You said.

Draco got exited and jumped off the wall he was sitting on.

'What's up?'

'So I need-'

You felt your arm being snatched before you could speak. You got turned to the side and looked straight into Carla's eyes.

'What do you think you're doing?!' She asked. 'We don't talk to these losers.' She said while looking at them with a nasty face.

'Oh I- um..'

'For merlin's sake, you sound like an idiot.' She said while rolling her eyes. 'I, um, I, um.' She mocked you.

You glanced at the boys. Draco saw the defeat in your eyes everytime they spoke to you.

'At least she gets better grades than you do. Wouldn't call her the idiot of your group.' Draco sneered.

You were surprised that he even spoke up. He never did that.. not for you.

'Excuse me?' She asked.

'Yes, excuse you?' Amaih asked.

You managed to pull your arm from Carla's hands.

'Do I have to repeat it again?' He asked. 'Too slow to understand basic English?' He asked.

Theo and Blaise snorted and you had to held back your own laugh.

'I would shut up if I were you.' Carla hissed.

'Or what? You're so stupid you can't even cast wingardium leviosa. What are you going to do to me?' He laughed.

'Oh she'll show you what she can do!' Amaih

Draco walked up to her in a threatening way. Carla kept her cool and gave him a nasty look while reaching into her pocket.

'I'd like to see her try.' He grinned.

'That's enough. Separate it, both of you.'

McGonagall pushed through them and they backed off.

'Get to class.' She said before continuing her own way.

Carla turned to you and grabbed your arm again to pull you closer.

'Who do you think you are for just standing there?! First you talk to them and now you accept the way they talk to me?!'

'I just-'

'No shut up!' Amaih yelled.

You looked at her and then back at Carla.

'Let-'

'Shut up, Malfoy!' She snapped at him before he could say anything. 'You're not working with us during potions.' She hissed at you.

'I already wasn't because I didn't finish your homework last week.' You sighed.

She squeezed your arm even tighter. You gasped and pushed her away. She balled her fist and yelled.

'Dont remind me! Ugh, now I hate you all over again, Y/L!'

You looked at her in shock. Y/L.. you were her best friend. You looked at her.

'Y/L?' You asked.

'Yes! You've been demoted to last name base until you make it up to us. You're no longer sitting with us in class or walking with us to class until you finish all our homework to show you're sorry. Let's go Amaih.'

They pushed you aside as they walked towards the potions classed. The boys just stared at them in shock as you swallowed to fight your tears back. You looked up at them but they could all see that they really hurt you.

'Well..' You said before letting out a small cough. 'I guess I better get to work.'

'You're not seriously going to make their homework.. right?' Theo asked.

You didn't answer but instead changed the subject.

'I have to get to class. Goodbye.'

Draco hurried over to you and softly grabbed your wrist.

'Wait. What did you want to ask?'

'Nothing important. Please let me go.'

'At least let me walk you to class.'

You pulled your arm back and turned around.

'Please don't. You see what it'll lead to. Please just let me go on my own and we 2ill both be fine.'

'Please. They've already gone. I'll wait outside the classroom

You looked at him. You hated yourself for liking him. You could never say no. You didn't say anything and just started walking. Blaise pushed Draco forwards and he followed you.

Theo and Blaise followed you at appropriate distance. You two didn't talk until you arrived in the dungeons. You stopped a few meters away from the classroom. Theo and Blaise hid around the corner.

'There we are. I have to go now.'

'Wait. Please.'

You sighed and leaned against the wall. Draco stopped infront of you. He was super close to you. You had to look up to look him in the eye.

'Ask me. Please. Your question.'

'No. It'll only lead me to more problems.' You said.

'With your friends? If you even call them that. Why do you let them torture you like that?'

You sighed.

'They don't. It's fine.'

'They do.. and I can see the pain you're in every day.'

You looked at the floor for a moment. Draco cupped your face and moved it up so you'd look at him.

'You can be friends with us. Me, Blaise and Theo. You don't need them. You're smart, talented, incredibly beautiful. You have everything. You're way too good to be their.. their slave.'

'What if I don't want to be your friend?' You asked.

That left your mouth before you could even think. Draco frowned for a moment.

'Do you really not notice? Are you really blind?' You asked. 'How I'm always nice to you, how happy I get when I accidentally run into you. Do you really not see?'

Draco didn't understand what you meant. Theo and Blaise were afraid that he was going to blow this.

'Diffindo.' Blaise said.

He carved the words "she likes you!" In the wall besides you. You couldn't see it but saw Draco's eyes move.

'What?' You asked.

'Nothing.. I'm just thinking about what you're saying.'

"Kiss her!" Appeared below it.

'Wait so..  what do you want to be to me?' He asked. 'What does this mean?'

You looked at him and laid your hand on his wrist.

'It can mean anything you want. Anything.'

Draco leaned in to kiss you. It was something you had been waiting for. It was amazing. He was a great kisser. Theo yelled 'Yes!' Which caused him to pull back and look but you couldn't see them. You chuckled and looked back at Draco.

'I wanted to ask you to be my potion partner but I guess I don't have to now.' You smiled.
