"So.... " Albus started to talk and then he nudged his boyfriend in the side and mumbled inaudibly "continue".
Scorpius rubbed the spot where Albus nudged him and gave him a funny look, mouthing "okay".  "...you lot must be wondering why we called you here today."

The young couple turned to face their families who were also seated at the dinner table. Harry cleared his throat and said "Well..it's not exactly the most comfortable situation to be in but- " He looked in Draco's direction and continued "Malf- Draco and I can get along for one night, I suppose" Harry chuckled.

"Seems fair Pot- Harry." Draco gave him his world famous smirk and shook his former rival's hand.

Everyone in the Wizarding community knew about their school rivalry and now that Scorpius and Albus were the best of friends, the two families had formed an alliance and often jokes about their past rivalry.

James, Lily and Seraphina (Scorpius's younger sister- an OC) were eager to find out why their brothers had called for a dinner, even though they already had their own suspicions.

Ginny and Astoria who were now friends, had also discussed possibilities of the announcements over owls and tea the past evenings.

Albus saw that Scorpius was nervous and trembling so he took his boyfriend's hand and gave it a comforting squeeze. Scorpius looked at his boyfriend with a grateful smile.

James was growing impatient and said
"Oh! For the love of Merlin... would you just tell us already- "

Lily kicked him under the table to shut him up. Ginny gave him a disapproving glance.

"You lot probably don't know but Scorpius and I are gay..." Albus started and Scorpius continued "...and we're dating"

They clutched eachother's hands nervously anticipating the reactions of their families.

Everyone, without saying a word looked at eachother with blank stares and soon burst into laughter.

Albus looked flabbergasted at the two families and Scorpius moved closer to his boyfriend, protectively and asked
"Wh-why?" tears pricked at the corners of his eyes.

The families stood up and engulfed the two boys in supporting hugs. Scorpius burst into tears and Astoria kissed his head saying "Ginny and I questioned the possibility and we're okay with it."

Scorpius's head was now buried in Albus's chest and Albus's arms wrapped around him. "It's o-okay?"

"Of course it is son. We've always assumed that were not straight, since you were small." Harry said, ruffling his son's hair.

"We felt the same about you, Scorp. We still love you the same and nothing will ever change that." Draco smiled.

Lily and Seraphina were not at all surprised and had already known, since they walked in on them kissing in the astronomy tower. James was the only one who never suspected anything and was still too shocked to speak. But of course he supported his little brother.

Albus and Scorpius couldn't have hoped for better and we're grateful for their families.
