Lucius Malfoy x Narcissa Black ~ Achilles
They are younger here
Narcissa sat in her bedroom, slowly flipping through her potions textbook. Bella sat on the bed next to her, throwing an apple into the air and practicing her exploding spell on the poor fruit. They were waiting for the guests to arrive for dinner tonight. Her mother and father wouldn't tell them who it was, or more the girls were afraid to ask who it was. All they new is that they were pureblood and important, most likely rich.
Andromeda had left for the evening without notice. She had been leaving almost every night which only seemed to make their parents more angry. Yet, they had took no action yet, and that most likely meant they were waiting until their tempers boiled over.
"Girls!" their mother yelled from downstairs. "Get down here! The guests are here!"
Bella quickly looked over to her sister with an evil smirk before hopping off the bed and smoothing her skirt. She brushed her hair to the side and Narcissa set her book to the side, following her oldest sister down the stairs to the main eating area. The long, mahogany table laid out in front of them, but Narcissa could not yet see who was at the door. She quickly walked down the stairs, her heels clicking against the expensive marble stairs and she winced at how loud they were on the tile on the ground. She turned around the long stairs and towards the door where the family stood. Though, it wasn't much a family. Just a tall dominant father as the same as a son.
The father stood behind the tall son, standing with his child held high. His skin was white as snow, his short, styled hair the same. His deep brown eyes stared at the family and an evil smirk was on his lips. The smirk of a businessman. He was wearing a black tux, his undershirt white as well as a black tie.
His son, Narcissa presumed, who stood in front of him looked very much like him. His jawline very defined as well as the short white hair. But this man stood with a defiant sort of demeanor, his head tilted slightly to the side while still remaining confident. His eyes were the largest difference in appearance from his father. He had piercing ice blue eyes with the smallest of pupils, giving him a sort of controlled crazy look. He wore a black tuxedo, his undershirt black and the tie the same. He also held a cane to his side, the head an expensive looking snake.
"Abraxas," Narcissa's father, Cygnus, said with the smallest fake smile. Druella stood next to him, her father's arm wrapped around her waist in a protective way. "Welcome," he said, narrowing his eyes on the white haired man. Narcissa watched as Abraxas squeezed his son's shoulder and leaned forward, his mouth only a few inches from his sons.
"Go on, Lucius, introduce yourself," he hissed into his sons ear. Narcissa placed her hands behind her back, fiddling with them nervously as Lucius stared at her. He was calculating, or studying.
His gaze made her feel squeamish.
"Lucius Malfoy," the son said, reaching a hand out to Cygnus. Narcissa's father shook his hand and so did her mother.
"We are happy to have you over for dinner," Druella said, snapping her fingers. Narcissa watched as her mother's old party trick revealed itself. Food appeared on the long table and her mother gave a satisfied smile.
"My daughters, Bellatrix and Narcissa," Cygnus said, bringing the Malfoy's attention away from the table and to the two girls. Druella narrowed her eyes on her husband for a moment, but looked away, internally scowling.
"Nice to meet you two ladies," Abraxas said with an unsettling smirk, his hand squeezing Lucius shoulder tight enough that it looked like it hurt. The fathers stare was very uncomforting and even crazier than his sons. It was a bit creepy the way Abraxas stared at Narcissa as if he were about to buy her.
Lucius stiffened in his father's grip.
"Hello," he murmured awkwardly, and Narcissa watched in confusion as Abraxas softly kicked his sons Achilles tendon.
Suddenly, she found herself surging forward. She grabbed Lucius's arm, intertwining it with her own.
"You are looking very sharp today, Malfoy," she said with the smallest smirk, steering him towards the table. Lucius's eyes were wide as he stared down at her. But, he pressed his cane to the ground, beginning to walk with her towards the table. Narcissa peered over her shoulder at Abraxas and saw him giving her a slight glare, but he stood up tall, turning his grin back to Bella.
"How are you today, Lucius?" Narcissa asked, remembering the different conversation starters her mother had taught her.
"Mm," he began, and Narcissa couldn't help but smile athis slight awkwardness. Him and his father must have created a script before coming. Narcissa's own parents had done the same to her. "Fine," he said. "Better now," he murmured, pulling out a chair for her. Narcissa sat down on the table, Lucius sitting down besides her.
"Lucius," suddenly came above Narcissa. She shivered. "Why don't you sit across from Narcissa," Abraxas said. Creepy for sure. Lucius slowly got to his feet and Narcissa pressed her back against the back of the chair she sat at. She bit her lip, listening for what the father was whispering into his sons ear, but all she heard was slurs of words.
"-go-" was the only word she could make out. Then, Lucius was on the move, walking around the long table with the slight limp in his leg.
Unfortunately, Abraxas sat next to her, the chair squeaking as he slid it forward.
"Well, let us eat!" he said with a bit to much excitement mixed in his tone. Narcissa slowly picked up her fork, staring at her food as she nawed on her bottom lip. Her eyes flickered forward as Lucius sat down, sitting up straighter than anything which could have been comfortable. But he began to eat, not meeting her eyes as he did so.
"So, Cygnus, I understand that you have three daughters," Abraxas began, his eyes looking down to Narcissa's father who sat at the end of the table. Narcissa felt her insides twirl as her eyes slowly moved down the table to her father as well.
"Yes..." Cygnus began, his eyes looking hard as he stared down the table. "Andromeda is the other."
Abraxas had a look in his eyes. A look which appeared to present the idea that he already knew Andromeda was dating a muggle-born.
"And where is she tonight if you don't mind me asking?" he asked, shoving a piece of chicken into his mouth. Cygnus was squeezing his fork.
"Out with friends, I assume," he said through gritted teeth. Abraxas only gave a short nod, though the smirk on his lips said he was enjoying this.
"She is the middle child, yes? Not up for marriage yet?" Abraxas asked, looking back up to the Black family. "I would assume she would be as beautiful as these girls, it seems to run in the family," he said, his eyes turning to Narcissa with the faintest move of his blond eyebrows. Narcissa flinched, quickly turning back to her food.
Then, something touched her foot. Her eyes shot up to Lucius who was staring her in the eye, a piece of forgotten turkey on the tip of his fork.
"Not up for marriage," Cygnus said. Abraxas smiled, nodding. But, he turned to Bella who sat on Lucius right. "But, you are up for marriage, aren't you, darling?" Abraxas asked. "You appear to have the look of a black and the mouth as well, is there anything you want to tell me?"
Bella stared at the man, her lips puckered as if pouting. Her eyes turned to her mother and father who were firing glares at Abraxas.
The Malfoy father had done his research.
"Andromeda is dating a mudblood!" Bella exclaimed, standing from the table in excitement of being the first to release the news.
"Bellatrix!" Druella exclaimed standing from the table. Abraxas grinned up at the parents as they glowered at their children.
"It is quite alright, Druella," Abraxas said, giving a slight nod to the angry mother. "I think it would be quite important to know if there was a blood traitor in the family I am attempting to ally with," Abraxas said. Narcissa stared at the blonde haired man, eyebrows furrow.
"Ally?" she asked him. Abraxas eyes blinked back to her and he rapidly nodded.
"Yes, ally, as in-"
"Narcissa!" Lucius said suddenly, abruptly standing from the table with both hands on either side of his plate. His can leaned against the seat of his chair and his eyes squeezed shut in embarrassment. HIs father stared at his sonin confusion. "Will you accompany me outside?" he asked. Narcissa rapidly nodded, standing from her seat. Cygnus watched as his daughter moved towards the door, but waited for Lucius to catch up with her. Then, she closed the door, letting out a sigh. Lucius seemed to do the same, but a bit more quietly.
"That room is going to explode," Narcissa mumbled, throwing her normal manners out the window. Something about Lucius's aurora said he wouldn't care about the way she spoke. He nodded in agreement.
"I apologize for my father's behavior," he said. "He was not supposed to say anything."
Narcissa narrowed her eyes on him.
"About the 'alliance'?" she asked him. He nodded.
"Marriage is the normal way for families to 'ally' as they call it-"
"Marriage?" she asked. Lucius opened his eyes, looking at her for a moment. "Like... me and you?" she asked. He nodded, his face emotionless.
"You didn't know?" he asked. She shook her head, furrowing her eyebrows as she turned away from him. "Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you."
"I'm not disappointed," she said, catching her breath. "Not yet."
Lucius blinked.
"You aren't?"
"Why would I be? You haven't look up my skirt yet have you?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at him. Lucius shook his head. "Good," she said, taking a single step to push her chest against his. Then, she stood on the toe of her boot, pressing her lips to his cheek. "Then we don't have a problem."
Lucius paused.
"You are taking this much better than I thought you would be," he said, clearing his throat. "I thought you would... you know, try and slap me or something," he mumbled, pressing his fingers to the spot where she had kissed him.
"That will come in time," Narcissa said with a slight smirk. "But for now, enjoying the kisses."
