Sirius Black- After Hours (a)
The footsteps that were once mere feet away from you slowly faded into oblivion as the creator strolled further and further away down the Hogwarts' hallway. Sirius looked over at you with his normal cocky grin, seeming to not be the slightest worried that the two of you were one glance away from expulsion.
"You should really try and be less stressed from time to time, they never would have seen us." He stepped out from his dusky corner and out into the oil-lit light. He nodded you over so that you could continue your elusive search.
"Why are you so obsessed with finding this book anyway? And why can't tell me what we're looking for?" He stepped in front, looked back and raised his finger to his pursed lips. His arm swept across and pushed you against the wall. Carefully he peered around the corner and hid the dread in his eyes.
"Small issue." He whispered in his most subtle voice. "There may be a professor heading briskly towards us and I don't think we have time to hide so... get thinking of an excuse for being out way past lights out." Frantically the two of you looked around as the clicking of heels bounced off the stone walls. There wasn't a lot of time to formulate a plan, it was much more of a plan as it happens type situation, you pushed Sirius back and walked around the corner.
The professor, whom you did not recognise, jumped back in shock and hastily unsheathed her wand, you pretended to do the same.
"What ever are you doing scrambling around the halls at this hour?" She tucked her wand back into her pocket and sternly glared down at you from under her glasses.
"Sometimes at home if I couldn't sleep I would go for a... for a run." You quickly glanced over at Sirius whose face lit up with a thousand oil lamps. "You know, I just need to clear my head and get away from a few things." From the corner of your vision you saw him silently creep away.
"You are in serious trouble, I hope you realise this."
"I know, I'm sorry. I understand the dangers of being alone at these times of the night and outside of my bedroom." You looked over and Sirius was now almost running down the hall, he turned back and obnoxiously mouthed 'I owe you one, if you're lucky I might just kiss you!'. Luckily he had turned the corner as the professor peeked her head round to see what you were smiling at.
"Luckily I understand that it can sometimes be cramped so I shall escort you back, and we shall mention no more of it."
