The tears that fell down your cheeks were uncontrollable as you moved the book to the coffee table, not wishing for your tears to stain the pages. Sadness consumed you as you did your best to console yourself grasping for tissues, hoping to mop up the tears before your boyfriend could come in to see the state you were in. Sadly, that wasn't possible. A sob escaped your lips as you leaned to the tissue box, gaining the attention of Remus. He rushed into the room, giving you a concerned expression, not certain what could have cause you to cry.

"What's happened?" He asked, panicked.

Remus dropped down onto his knees before you, taking one of your hands in his as he tried to read your expression.

Words didn't want to form on your lips as you sobbed. You knew it was incredibly stupid to have worked yourself up so much over something so trivial, but you couldn't help it. You wouldn't even consider yourself overly emotional, but this had terribly gotten to you.

"Please, Y/N, what's wrong?" He pleaded, far more concerned about the situation than he should have.

You tried to compose yourself, letting out a deep breath, so that you would be able to form words.

"It's just that... well, my favourite character just died," you cried, pointing a shaky finger towards the coffee table where your book lay.

You were a huge bookworm and enjoyed reading anything you could get your hands on however you did struggle when it came to forming close bonds with fictional characters and your emotions would be terribly over the top when it came to bad things happening to them. You rarely cried when something bad happened to you or someone you knew, however a character in a book, that was a completely different story.

Remus let out a sigh of relief, glad that nothing was actually wrong with you. He had realised you crying over a fictional character was fairly normal and nothing to have too much concern over.

"Do you need a hug?" He asked you.

You nodded your head, still crying.

He climbed up onto the sofa with you, wrapping an arm around you, pulling you into his arms. You let yourself cry onto his chest, calming down with the closeness that you had from your boyfriend.

"Thank you," you whispered. "I'm sorry that I am being so silly."

He shook his head. "You aren't silly. It's rather cute how emotionally connected you become to fictional characters."

You could help but smile softly as you curled into his chest, letting yourself be happy in his closeness.
