Remus Lupin- Crushes (c)

You didn't mean to eavesdrop, but it was hard to not listen to the boys who were sat so close to you, and one of them was the guy whom you had a massive crush on.

Remus Lupin was a kind-hearted and intelligent boy in your year, and it was hard to not notice him staring at you over breakfast even though he was trying his best to be subtle about it. You had liked him since you had first met but you couldn't tell him that, out of fear of him not feeling the same and also not having the confidence to say anything.

"Stop staring and just tell her you like her already," Sirius stated, rolling his eyes at the boy your liked.

"She doesn't like me so there's no point. If there was some sort of sign that she liked me, of course I'd tell her," Remus sighed.

You were stunned to see Sirius slap Remus across the face, gaining attention of some students sat nearby.

"Just bloody tell her. Right now. This is your sign."

Sirius pushed Remus from his seat and gave him a stern glare until he made his way over to you, sitting down on the bench beside you.

"Oh...hi... hi Y/N," Remus smiled awkwardly. "C-can I talk to you?"

"Hi Remus," you smiled in return, a bit more confident after hearing their conversation. "Of course."

"Um... I'm sorry if... if... this is a little weird... but... um... I kind of... maybe... like you," he croaked, running a hand through his light brown hair.

You let out a gentle chuckle, your cheeks becoming a little red.

"Well, I must say, I kind of like you too," you smiled.

He let out a sigh of relief as you moved your fingers to brush his, gently holding his hand atop of the table. It was a pleasant moment between you until his dark-haired friend decided to sit in between you. He wrapped his arms around you and Remus.

"See you should listen to me. Now Lily just needs to admit that she loves James and then there'll be no more horrible crushes and whining about the people you guys love," he grinned.

Neither of you were able to say anymore before your friend Marlene slid into the seat opposite you.

"H-hey Marlene," Sirius said, his voice cracking as he spoke.

You looked at the boy, noticing his reddened cheeks, both you and Remus laughing, knowing the problem had now just passed onto your friends instead of yourselves.
