Period cramps were one of the worst pains you had experienced and sadly you were in the midst of the worst part of your menstrual cycle. The only thing that made you feel remotely better about the pain you were in the middle of was how caring and compassionate your boyfriend Remus was. Even though it was something he would never have to experience, he wanted to do everything in his power to make your time of the month as easy as possible.

He had left you in bed whilst he went to the shop to make sure he had everything to make your period go by easily but honestly all you truly wanted was to keep him by your side. You heard him come into the house a few minutes ago but he hadn't returned to the room, so you stayed curled up in you bed, your head buried in the pillows and more blankets than was reasonable.

It didn't take long until Remus came back upstairs and returned to you in your bed. He sat down next to you, running a gentle hand through your hair.

"Hello honey," he whispered.

You rolled over to see his sweet smile and it made your heart warm even if your uterus wanted to kill all that was around it.

"I missed you," you smiled at him, the pain in your abdomen only growing with every second.

"I made you some tea," he stated showing you your favourite mug as he put it down on the bedside cabinet next to him.

Remus leant down and picked up a carrier bag that he had filled up with goodies from his shopping trip.

"I got you some more tampons," he said showing you the packet. "And I got some extra painkillers to help you out as I wasn't sure how many we had left. I've filled up your hot water bottle too."

He handed you your fluffy hot water bottle that you pulled to your stomach, seeking the heat that came from it. Remus rustled in the bag before pulling out a share sized bar of dairy milk that instantly perked up your spirits just by seeing it.

"You can only have this if you are willing to share it with me," he stated.

You nodded your head, pulling it from his fingers. Snapping off a few squares, you handed one to him before shoveling the other piece into your mouth.

"I love you Remus," you said in a moan, enjoying the chocolate.

"I love you too."
