You'd often thought of yourself as quite lucky in terms of the people that you had around you.

When you went to Hogwarts, you only had your twin brother by your side but you managed to become friends with the boys that your brother became close with.

James had been your best friend as well as your twin, and he was always going to be very protective of you.

It wasn't until after graduation at Hogwarts that you began a relationship with one of your closest friends.

Everyone knew that you and Remus had some form of thing over the years at school, but it only seemed right to the both of you to properly progress forward once you were out of school.

James didn't take the news of your relationship too well. He was still stuck in the thought that you were going to be his little sister to protect forever, and dint quite comprehend that you could do what you wanted.

It did die down after a while however, James got somewhat used to the idea of his best friend dating his sister

Of course, there was always going to be the occasional comments but they got directed back to James about Lily so it was all fair after a while.

It had been just over two years since all of you had left Hogwarts, and yet it felt as if nothing had changed.

You and Remus had moved in together, coincidentally across the road from your brother and Lily,
whilst Sirius lived in a flat in London but he was rarely there considering he had a room at James and Lily's and a room at yours and Remus'.

It was the end of the week, and it was yours and Remus' turn to have everyone over for a meal so you were expecting them to all come around.

Whilst you were cooking, you felt your stomach become unsettled and couldn't help but run to the toilet to empty your stomach out.

Within minutes, Remus was behind you and holding your hair back whilst rubbing your back gently.

"What happened?"

You shrugged. "I smelt the food and I needed to come up here."

"That's the fourth time it's happened Love, maybe you should see a healer," he suggested as he wiped away some hair from your face.

"I don't want to. Any spell they perform I can do myself."

He sighed and watched as you grabbed your wand, performing generic spells to see what was wrong until one had a reaction.

"Oh my god," you breathed out.

"That was a positive pregnancy spell Love."

You smiled at him, slightly shocked but happy nonetheless.

The two of you walked back out, into the living room, still attempting to process the news you had just heard.

As soon as you sat down on the sofa, Remus tackled you with a kiss causing you to laugh before your hands wound around his neck.

"You're carrying our baby," he whispered against your lips.

You nodded in confirmation, a smile present on your face as you lent up to kiss him again.

The two of you became so lost in the moment that neither of you realised the three people who flooed into your living room.

"Woah!" you heard Sirius speak up. "I was not expecting to walk in on that."

Remus pulled away from you, slowly climbing off of you to let you up from the sofa.

"Moony, save it for the bedroom," Sirius joked.

You smiled at the three people now stood in your living room, and walked towards your brother so you could pull him into a hug.

Once everyone had said hello, and you had gone to finish up the cooking, a silent look to Remus confirmed that you were going to sit your friends down to tell them the news.

You and Remus were sat on one sofa, James and Lily on the other with Sirius on his usual armchair that meant anyone else got a glare if they sat in it.

"We...we have some news for you guys," you spoke slightly nervously.

"Have you finally proposed Moony?" Sirius quizzed, a smirk on his face.

Remus chuckled but shook his head. "Not yet, no."

Your boyfriend placed his hand on your thigh gently, before giving it an affectionate squeeze.

"We found out earlier today that Y/N is pregnant."

At those words, Lily's face broke out into a smile, Sirius was shocked but happy and your brother wasn't very impressed.

"You're not even married," James spoke up, crossing his arms.

You sighed. "Not yet James."

He turned to you, standing up and motioning for you to do the same.

Once you were standing in front of him, he pulled you into a tight high and pressed a kiss to the top of your head.

"I'm happy for you, I really am. But you're my little sister."

You giggled and looked up at him. "I'm younger by two minutes James."

He chuckled in response. "I am using those two minutes to my advantage," he stated with a playful smirk on his face. "I just want you to be okay."

You wrapped your arms around his waist in response, hugging him tighter.

"It's just us two now. And I need to be there for you."

Lily cleared her throat, causing James to step back from you, and she got up to wrap you in a hug as well.

"As James pointed out, you don't have your parents any more but you have us," she told you and you felt Sirius' arms wrap around the both of you.

Soon enough, a group hug was going on and you couldn't help but smile at the support from your brother and two closest friends.

Everyone returned to their previous seats, and Sirius turned to you and Remus. "So, am I going to be the godfather or?"
