Molly Weasley- Pie (a)
"I know it isn't much, but at least it's a bit of a break?" Molly looked around the small hotel room that she had managed to get for the trip that she had arranged for the both of you.
"Don't worry, it's perfect. I've never stayed with muggles before, so it should be interesting as well." You looked around too, taking note of the paint that peeled away from the drywall and the slight draft that flew into the room through a small crack in the windows seal.
"Hopefully. Not sure why muggle hotels are so much cheaper but here we are!" She tried to smile but it was hard for her. "I'm sorry." She pulled her hands into her sleeve and sat them in her lap.
"Sorry for what?"
"Bringing you here. This place is a hell hole." Her face showed obvious disgust at the discolouration's that laden the sheets and pillow cases.
"It isn't the nicest place in the world... but, I'm here with you, so it's better than most out there." Finally, the smallest shard of happiness spread across her face. "I was going to suggest ordering room service, but I presume that isn't a service that they offer here."
"I think even if they did it would be better to avoid it. Luckily, one of us came prepared." Using all of her might she pulled her suitcase onto the bed and quickly unzipped it.
"You can't blame me for being unprepared! You woke me up this morning at ridiculous o'clock and packed me into the car." From the suitcase she pulled out a white box that sat tucked neatly away under some of her clothes.
"This is kind of going to be the same as the room. It isn't the best in the world and I didn't get time to try again, I had to wait for you to fall asleep before I could sneak away and make it. She faced it towards herself, flipped open the lid and gently pulled a thin layer of tissue paper away. From deep within herself she inhaled with vigour and exhaled with her eyes closed before spinning the box to you.
Inside the box sat a golden-brown dome, deep red filling spilled out of the sides and on the top sat yours and her initials, crudely carved out of pastry and placed on top.
"You baked me a pie!?" She smiled and quickly spun it back to facing her, from out of the suitcase she pulled out two forks and patted on the empty space on the bed next to her.
