Harry Potter- Potions (a)
Harry sat next to you as he did every potions class, sighing and twiddling his quill around his fingers, occasionally making one or two notes but past that not really paying much attention to Professor Snape.
"Now then class." Professor Snape cast his gaze over the class, looking down his long thin nose at the group of students neglecting his attention. "You have until the timer ends to make me a Skele-Gro potion, if it does not quite seem up to scratch, I will have to find a way to test it out."
Professor Snape's eyes turned to Harry and the corner of his lips curled into a smirk. Harry flipped through the pages of his textbook in search of the Skele-Gro potion before turning to you.
"Have you been listening Y/N?" Harry said in a panic, wildly grabbing ingredients that were spread across the table
"Not really..." you said, looking at the various doodles that had appeared on your notes throughout the class.
"I have had to drink that once already, and I'm fairly certain Snape won't make me drink it if I have no bones to regrow, I don't think he is beyond making a finger or two disappear." He landed on the page and started scanning the page quickly, mouthing out the words as he read them and making bullet notes on the process.
"Y/N... do you have any idea how to prepare a Chinese chomping cabbage?" Harry held up the cabbage that looked just the same as any other cabbage, except it was munching on a rather large carrot.
"I don't know Harry..." He slumped his head on the desk and sighed deeply, "Just throw it all in, along with everything else."
Harry threw in a handful of scarab beetles to the bubbling cauldron and more gently placed in three whole pufferfish, the cauldron spat out drops of a bright red potion.
"This looks nothing like what Madam Pomfrey gave me..." he threw his arms into the air and slumped back into the chair.
"Look Harry... can you keep a secret?" You leant into him, keeping out of earshot of Snape and the rest of the class... "we swap ours with Hermione and Katie's cauldron, we all know there potion will be close to perfect."
"And how do you expect we do that without them noticing we are taking their whole cauldron... it isn't exactly an easy thing to take, especially without Snape seeing."
"Like this..." you pulled your wand out and gave it a quick flick, causing the cauldron next to Hermione's to topple over, sending a potion, along with a cloud of smoke, spilling over the edge. The smoke was surprisingly thick and dense, and the groups surrounding it began to mildly cough and splutter, allowing Harry to quickly swap out the cauldrons.
