You had known Sirius since you had first started at Hogwarts, and now being in your fifth year you had realised how much he aggravated you and how freaking easy your life would be if he didn't exist- sadly he did.

Originally you had planned to do some revision with Remus, so had turned up at the Gryffindor common room, however Remus had come down with something over night and was cooped up in his room, but Sirius was more than willing to keep you company for the morning even if you didn't particularly want to.

He did his best to flirt with you and also happened to bring up various other girls that you had known liked him but he had done absolutely nothing to reciprocate their feelings.

After what felt like a lifetime of being stuck with Sirius in the common room, you were finally getting completely sick of his failure to flirt with you. You did kind of like him, it was hard to not too, he was far too charming for his own good. However, you weren't going to ever admit that to him, he was too much of an idiot to ever actually want to be in a relationship with him. When he finally bucked up his ideas and became remotely mature, then maybe you'd admit who you felt and stop allowing him to pine away as he seemed to do every time he was near you.

Standing up from your spot on the sofa, you readjusted the pillows so they were neat once more as though no one had even sat there, before shooting Sirius the tired and slightly annoyed expression he must have come to know well from the amount he had to see it from you.

"I'm going to need to go have a shower to wash off the grime of being in the same room as you for more than ten minutes."

"Do you need any help?" He smirked rising from his seat also approaching you slightly.

Your eyes rolled almost instantaneously which was a habit that you had come to every time you had to spend any time with Sirius. Although he was too close to you for any form of comfort, you didn't flinch instead mirroring his smirk.

"Let's make a deal Black. You can help me shower when Lily says yes to a date with James," you stated knowing it was an unlikely thing to occur.

His expression instantly dropped at what you had said to him.

Before he was able to function a response the portrait behind you opened to hear the voice of none other than Potter himself.

"Pads! Pads! Guess what?" he screamed running to stand next to the two of you with the biggest grin you had ever seen.

"What Prongs? I'm a bit busy having my heart ripped out here," Sirius retorted.

"Lily said yes. I asked her on a bloody date and said yes. Step one to her becoming Mrs Lily Potter," he practically squealed.

Sirius' eyes locked with yours as his grin was almost identical to that of James' whilst your expression dropped completely regretting having ever spoken.

"Oh, Fuck!"
