Sirius Black- Dadfoot (c)

You weren't sure which overwhelmed the other. Were you more nervous or more annoyed with your husband's idiocy? You loved the silly man dearly but sometimes puns become a little bit too much for you seen as you had to put up with them all day every day.

Nevertheless, you were anxious about the news that you had for your friends whom were expected to arrive at your home in any moment. Yesterday Sirius had sent an owl to James and Lily as well as one to Remus to tell them there was urgent news that meant they needed to be at your home today.

Sirius wasn't as nervous as you were, to be fair he was by far more excited about what he had to say to your closest friends than you were. It wasn't as though you didn't want to speak to them, but you were anxious seen as none of it really felt real yet due to how new it all was.

When they finally arrived, Sirius told you to stay in the lounge as he practically ran to the front door so that he could let them all in. As soon as they returned, Sirius found it impossible to stand still, fidgeting and grinning at everyone before him.

Sirius took your hand so that you could stand with him whilst the other three sat on the sofa all looking rather concerned, other than Harry who looked as amused as ever.

"What's going on?" Lily asked.

"Are you two okay?" James questioned.

"It seemed urgent in your letter," Remus added.

Sirius grinned down at you, shifting in his spot waiting for you to start the conversation.

"Sirius has a terrible joke to tell you," you sighed reluctantly.

You didn't want to tell them all so soon, especially not this way, but Sirius was a persistent man, and if it made him happy, it saved you earache.

Remus furrowed his eyebrows at the two of you.

"You made us come here for a joke?" He asked. "That's a lot even for Sirius."

"Believe me, I know it was a stupid idea but wait for it," you shrugged.

Sirius continued to grin as he cleared his throat and looped an arm protectively around your waist.

"From now on all of you need to call me Dadfoot," he smiled chuffed with his humour.

They all looked frankly confused until James' eyes lit up and he rose from his seat. You were surprised it was James that got it first as he certainly wasn't the sharpest pitchfork in the barrel.

"You're pregnant?" He beamed.

"We're having a baby," Sirius grinned kissing your temple before approaching Lily to take Harry from her so that he could speak to him. "You're going to be getting a little brother or a little sister."

"Not from me," Lily scoffed.

You didn't want to have to explain to Sirius that his idea wasn't correct however he was too happy for you to try and destroy it for him. Anyway, the marauders were a family.
