Sirius Black- Certainty (c)
"Someday I'm going to marry her Moony," Sirius smiled collapsing onto his friend's bed, forcing the mattress to jolt, but the scarred boy didn't budge nor look up from the book he was reading.
"You've been on one date."
Remus' words were blunt and emotionless, a skill he had learnt having to put up with all the random crap that James and Sirius spurted out.
"One bloody marvellous date my friend. She's going to be Mrs Y/N Black one day. I promise you that," Sirius grinned like a mad man.
"Does she agree with that?" He asked peering over the top of his book.
"Merlin knows. But she's perfect. I never thought I'd ever find someone, I never thought I could be sure. But give me another couple of dates and she'll realise how great we are together," the dark haired boy sighed.
Remus laughed softly at his friends lovesick puppy act, especially knowing it wasn't an act.
"Well I'll make sure to remind her how great you are as a couple in my best man speech."
"And ladies and gentlemen, although I'm sure if Sirius had picked James to be stood here giving this speech, there'd be stories of them getting pissed and Y/N berating them, or him just embarrassing the lovely couple with their stupid actions. But I can embarrass the groom a lot better. Since their first date, he was certain that this day would roll around. I don't know if Y/N agreed as Sirius can be a cocky shit, which I say with much love as his best friend. And although the day he told me there would be a Y/N Black, I thought he'd lost his mind, but I was wrong clearly. Y/N is perfect, I wish I can find a woman as perfect to marry one day, but today we are here to celebrate her choice, probably a choice she will learn to regret, which I also say with love but experience of living with him, of agreeing to marry him and that he was right for once. They are great together."
Remus' words were filled with love. He had been friends with both you and Sirius since before you started dating and although he was apprehensive at first, he had realised you two loved each other uncontrollably and would be happy to be together until the day they died.
"To the happy couple, Mr and Mrs Black," he smiled raising a glass, being followed by everyone else in the room.
Soon the reception moved on, allowing people to move around and out of their seats before the music began. As soon as you and Sirius stood up, his arms wrapped around your middle, moving his chin to rest on your shoulder.
"I love you Mrs Black," he grinned pecking your cheek. "I also love being able to say that without Moony judging me for calling you that."
"I love you too Mr Black," you smiled in return. "And Remus had a reason to judge you. We went to Hogsmeade once love, and from what I've been told from him, is that you were practically writing our names surrounded by hearts in your journal."
"Well you still married me," he shrugged.
A deep chuckle, forced the both of you to snap your heads towards your tall friend whom was the best man.
"There's always the choice of an annulment," Remus offered.
"Don't tell her there are ways for her to escape this marriage," Sirius laughed. "She only said yes because I made sure she didn't know she had other options."
"Wait I had options and I picked you?" You smirked.
Sirius rolled his eyes, tightening his embrace.
"Anyway. Thank you Remus for your speech. Made my husband look like a bit of a prat, but I can only get the truth of how much he cares about me from you. Male pride or something gets in the way," you smiled.
"I tell you that I love you," Sirius said almost offended.
"She's going to be Mrs Y/N Black one day Moony. She's perfect," Remus laughed imitating his friend's voice.
"Don't judge me for being a hopeless romantic you sod."
You rolled your eyes, sometimes they were children and you had no idea why you were marrying one of them.
"Just thank him for being the most amazing best man you could have asked for. Or just thank him for putting up with you for so long, he deserves a medal," you grinned. "But I guess I deserve one too. He had to put up with your certainty that you were going to marry me, and I was the sucker that said yes."
"Love you too," your husband stated. "But you wouldn't have said yes, if you weren't certain. It takes you like four hours for you to pick whether we are getting Chinese or pizza, but you said yes to me before I even finished the question."
