Remus Lupin- Un-Wanted House Guest (c)
Practically straight from graduating Hogwarts you had bought a cottage with your boyfriend of the time with the money you'd inherited. Soon enough you were married to Remus and it seemed like life was perfect.
It didn't last long.
Within three months of being married, you had acquired a semi-permanent house guest. Unlike the two of you, finding a place to live wasn't as easy for others.
Since graduating Sirius hadn't found anywhere to permanently live so he was bouncing between your home and staying with James and Lily. Currently you had the pleasure of him sharing your home.
It wasn't as though you hated the man, he just destroyed the whole honeymoon period that you wanted to enjoy with Remus. You wanted to be able to spend time with your husband without his best friend appearing everywhere.
On numerous occasions the simple moments you enjoyed with Remus were disturbed by Sirius. Whether that was cuddling on the sofa and him taking his newly found place in the arm chair or trying to have a lie in but having to get up as you could hear him swearing at the kitchen.
Today it was Sunday morning and you'd woken up early to make yourself and Remus breakfast- knowing full well you needed to make a portion for your lodger.
You waited for the toaster to tell you it was ready whilst the rest of the food sat on the plates waiting to be eaten. Whilst you waited you stared out of the window at the morning dew covered grass in your garden. Footsteps notified you to someone's presence. You presumed (and hoped) it was your husband.
As soon as you turned around your hopes shattered over the floor. Sirius walked into the kitchen grabbing the mug of tea you'd made for your husband and sat at the table.
"Isn't it a beautiful morning?" He grinned, taking a mouthful of his stolen tea.
"I'd say yes, but you're here," you muttered bitterly.
Throughout school you'd been friends with him and still now you enjoyed his company, just not every day in your home.
"Ouch."
You rolled your eyes at him as the toaster popped revealing the slightly charred toast.
"How do you mess up the toast every morning? Change your toaster setting," Sirius remarked.
"Don't question my cooking skills. At least I wasn't caught beating the kettle with a spatula. Speaking of which, why did you think it was helpful?"
Before he could respond Remus entered the kitchen still in his pyjamas with his hair sticking out at each angle.
"Good morning. What were you two talking about?" He smiled softly.
"Morning Love," you smiled back. "Just about how beautiful the morning is."
He wrapped his arms around you, looking down at you with loving eyes.
"It isn't as beautiful as you are Mrs Lupin," he said softly leaning down to press his lips to yours.
From behind you, you head gagging, forcing the two of you apart to turn your attention to the man sat at the table.
"You two sicken me," Sirius groaned.
"Move out then," you stated not missing a beat.
