There was little to do when you weren't in class. Some weekends you could go into Hogsmeade but other than that, Hogwarts didn't really provide any form of entertainment factors. Most days, you would spend with your boyfriend and friends in their common room or outside just chatting, but you needed a day just you and Remus. You loved your friends, but they were overbearing; sometimes you just needed some peace and quiet, just Remus and yourself.

Your options were minimal for where to go, so Remus suggested to go for a walk around the Black Lake. It was rather sizeable, so it would take you a fair amount of time to go around it when walking at a gentle pace as you planned, but you didn't mind as it meant more time with Remus.

No one else was outside as it was rather cold. It was nearing winter, and although the first snow hadn't fallen you could feel that it was on its way with the crisp air beating against your skin. You hadn't quite anticipated the cold so before you were even half way around the lake you almost felt chilled to the bone. You hadn't put on a coat, only a fairly thin jumper which wasn't helping too much to fight the bitter air.

Although you tried to hide how cold you truly felt, Remus had noticed your shiver. He also hadn't put on a coat however he had adorned himself with a scarf. It had been hand made by his mum and although it was fairly shabby as she wasn't great with knitting, it was still warm and filled with love.

Without you noticing, Remus had removed it from around his neck and wrapped it around yours making you jump slightly in shock. He smiled down with you as he gave the fabric a gentle tug to pull you closer to him. Although you stumbled slightly, he managed to catch you, holding you close so that he could kiss your lips firmly.

"What was that for?" You asked softly, rather aghast.

"I couldn't let the woman I love die from a chill," he smiled, pressing his lips to yours once more.

You shook your head, letting out a little laugh.

"That isn't what I meant. I meant the kiss."

He rolled his eyes as though the answer to your query was the most obvious in the world.

"Because I love you."

"I love you too."
