Queenie Goldstein- Rainfall (c)
When you had left the house this morning, you had never anticipated that there would be such a heavy rainfall. You'd only put on a thin coat due to the gentle sunshine that was around in the morning, but by the time you walked home from work, the heavens had opened, and within about two steps you were very much resembling a drowned rat. By the time, you were home your weight must have doubled by the amount of water your clothing had retained.
A trail of water followed you up the stairs to the flat that you shared with your girlfriend. As soon as you pushed the door open, you were relieved to be in some form of warmth.
"Queenie, I'm home," you called out to tell your girlfriend that it was you that was coming into the flat.
"Y/N," she squealed sliding the door open from the bedroom.
Her eyes widened as soon as she saw you, covering her mouth in a shocked gasp.
"Y/N, what happened?" She said worried, rushing to your side. "Did you fall into a fountain?"
You shot her a playful glare. She knew very well that you were a clumsy person, and would likely be on your own demise through stupidity.
"No. It's just raining very heavy," you frowned trying to remove your jacket, but it was clinging to you due to the water filled in it.
"Oh darling," she said softly gently cupping your cheek with her hands so that she could lean in and kiss you, doing her best to not get herself covered in the rain water you were coated in.
All you could do was frown and stand there uncomfortable, the kiss brightening up your day slightly, especially compared to how terrible your way home was.
"Now, get yourself into our room and get yourself changed into something warm and dry. Maybe those old pyjamas you love," she smiled warmly. "I'll get some tea on."
You nodded your head, knowing that no smart human would ever argue with Queenie, not that you desired to in this moment of time. Quickly you scurried into your room, hastily removing the layers of damp clothing, using a towel to dry yourself off, before pulling on the pyjamas that Queenie had suggested that you wear.
Using the towel, you ran it over your hair until you were comfortable and not a drowned rat any longer. Going back into the living room, Queenie ushered you towards the sofa, throwing a blanket over you. Quickly she disappeared again coming back holding too mugs. You pulled the blanket back so that she could sit down next to you and have the cover over her too.
She handed you one of the mugs of steaming hot cocoa.
"Here, drink this. You'll feel better," she smiled warmly kissing you sweetly. "It should warm you up."
"Thank you Queenie," you sighed contently settling down in your place on the sofa, leaning into her arms.
