Nymphadora Tonks- Flat Pack Furniture (c)

Ikea furniture was practically impossible to construct. It had never been clear to what extent the objects couldn't be constructed until you found out that even magic couldn't fathom such a thing. Tonks had tried her darnedest to construct the stupid bedside cabinet but it was to no avail as it only resulted in various pieces flying around aimlessly.

Even though magic was by far an easier method for most tasks, this sadly couldn't be one of them.

After two hours of such hell, you had decided that flat pack furniture was the muggle equivalent of Voldemort. Granted it had murdered less people than the dark wizard had but it had certainly made you feel capable and prepared to commit genocide.

Not wishing to make your way down the dark road to murder, you had allowed Tonks to continue with the construction, whilst you observed her angry attempts at construction.

At first they were valid attempts at making flat pack furniture, but that soon ceased to occur. These actions became further aggressive as she pretty much gave up trying to functionally work, rather just beating the pieces with a hammer- as though that was an actually helpful, productive action.

"I don't think you're doing it right," you offered trying to and failing to be of assistance.

Tonks looked up from the mess on the floor to narrow her eyes menacingly at you.

"How about you give it a try? Once you do your unhelpful comments will be far more appreciated."

You shook your head at her offer. You had tried to build flat pack furniture before and it never ended well and every time you tried you couldn't help but recall that DIY is only a single letter away from die.

"Now why would I do that? I am simply here to be your glamourous assistant. And personally, I think I'm doing a bloody smashing job, what do you think Dora?" You smiled to your pink haired companion.

Her eyes rolled at your comment.

"You are by far the most beautiful witch I have ever laid eyes upon. Certainly, you fit the role of glamourous assistant seen as you haven't done any of the work."

At first you had wished to comment on the fact that she hadn't really done anything either not at her fault of trying, however you had seen Tonks' anger and you never wished for her wrath to be directed towards you.

"Have you tried to actually read the instructions?"

"I did but I spilled my tea on it all."

For a short while she continued to randomly hammer nails into the wood until a few pieces were connected, not correctly but connected nevertheless.

"I give up," she shouted exasperatedly. "I fought in a bloody wizarding war and I'm foiled by a poxy cabinet."

You let out a laugh dropping from the sofa so you could wrap your arms around Tonks who was sat on the floor.

"I think it makes much better modern art than it would have ever made of a bedside cabinet."
