Helga Hufflepuff- Students (c)
You were sat in your chambers when the door flung open revealing the woman you loved, with red cheeks and a furrowed brow. Helga rarely ever looked annoyed but currently you would question whether she was prepared to commit murder.
"Helga, my Love, are you alright?" You questioned looking up from the dress you had been working on for her.
"Do I seem like a naïve child to you?" She asked.
There was no context to her question, to you weren't sure where the hell it had come from but lowering your sewing, you gave her a soft and gentle smile even if it did have some confusion laced into it.
"Of course not. Why would you ask such a question?" You questioned not certain what would bring up such a thought.
"I have always known that Godric and Salazar have certain standards they expect from prospective students at our school. I never did understand why they would expect so much from mere children, but now Rowena agrees with them. She doesn't have the same thoughts mind you, but she has her mind set on only accepting the wise and creative students into her care. I expected far more from her," she frowned allowing her forehead to crease before taking a seat on the edge of your shared bed.
You raised from your seat walking over to her, sitting by her side resting a hand onto her knee that had multiple layers of skirts covering it.
"I hate to see the brightness in your eyes dimmed by such a thought. I also cannot see what they do, they are children you are looking to help, but maybe Rowena may change her mind. She is a very intelligent woman, I cannot believe she would stick to such close-minded thoughts," you said reassuringly.
She let out a soft huff before resting her dainty hands across yours.
"Do not get my wrong my dear. I would never wish her ill! I wish her enemies all the fortune in the world," she said coarsely.
You let out a soft laugh. Rarely did you ever see her behave in such a manner but seeing her getting riled up made you smile. You didn't want her to feel such a way, but as it was so peculiar it was nice to see weirdly.
"Oh Helga. Rowena wouldn't be doing this as a personal vendetta. She just thinks different than you or I. The three of them cannot understand that they are about to inspire our youth, our future. They only see that they are our future, but they don't that you are working with children. They don't see their innocence as you do," you said softly. "But do not fret. They will get the students they desire, but you will be the hope for everyone else."
Her signature smile reappeared across her lips.
"Thank you. I do not know what I would do if you weren't here."
