George Weasley- Home: Part 1 (c)

Two years ago your life was turned upside down and in some ways it wasn't just simply a figure of speech. You had met a handsome stranger in the café that you worked in at the time, nothing seemed out of the ordinary about him at first but after speaking with him you realised he was rather odd.

He was a friendly chap, even though he seemed sadder than the average Londoner strolling through the café, but he was nice enough. Simply he just had a peculiar lack of knowledge of the simplest things.

Against your better judgement you got to know him, not that you regretted it now. You soon learnt his name was George and he was taking a break after a bereavement needing some time to clear his head. You didn't know who died or how, but you pitied him and in finding that he had little money and wasn't in contact with anyone currently, so you allowed him the night on the couch in your living room.

Granted that night soon became much more. Two years down the line and you were now dating and happy as you could ever be. However, once you started a relationship you realised that he was far from the normal bloke that you had believed him to be when you had first met. It wasn't as though he just had a couple of odd habits. No. He was a wizard.

At first you had thought you'd allowed a crazy man move into your home, but with proof and time you realised your thought of reality was far from accurate.

George taught you as much as he possibly could in the time you had been together about magic and the magical world, as well as just about himself. It fascinated you really, and in learning that the reason he had sought refuge away from home due to his twin's death, it helped you truly understand him.

The introduction to magic to your life was beyond peculiar to you, but it wasn't an unwelcome addition and just being with the man made you beyond happy. Although you'd been together for over a year, you hadn't met his family, but the amount he had spoken of them it felt like you knew them.

Even if anxiety and nerves made you want to think otherwise, the two of you had decided it was for the best if you were to spend Christmas with his family to meet them finally and so that he could spend time with them.

George offered several different quicker modes of transport that involved magic but you were far more comfortable to just drive there instead. It took some time but with his terrible directions you finally ended up in the middle of nowhere to see a quirky looking house that brought a smile to your boyfriend's face.

Once you'd pulled up outside, the two of you retrieved your suitcases from the boot but before you could even close it a short redheaded woman appeared in the doorway.

She smiled at the two of you as George led you towards the door with a hand resting on the small of your back.

"Hi Mum," George smiled taking a step away from you so that he could lean down to hug his mother.

"I have missed you. You don't visit nearly enough," she exclaimed holding onto him in a death grip.

When she finally released him from her clutches, her attention turned to you. She threw her arms out repeating the hugging process, taking the breath out of your lungs.

"And you must be the girlfriend I haven't heard nearly enough about," she smiled, clearly making the comment to make her son feel guilt.

"I'm sorry, I just couldn't come here," George commented solemnly.

The woman's expression became sympathetic knowing why her son couldn't bear coming back to his childhood home without his brother at his side.

"I know dear. Which makes me even more grateful to the fact that this lovely woman can bring you home. It is so great to meet you dear, but I am sorry your name has slipped my mind," she smiled warmly.

"Y/N. It's nice to meet you too Mrs Weasley."

"Nonsense. Call me Molly. Although you may have some trouble to remember all of the names, there are a fair few here already, you two are the last to arrive," she explained. "Now let's get the two of you inside, you are freezing out here."

Molly walked in ahead leaving you to your anxiety that was soon washed a large amount away when George wrapped his fingers around yours. You looked him in the eye becoming calmer with the help of his reassuring smile.

"Told you that she'd love you and everyone else will as well," he smiled softly leaning in to kiss your hair.

"I hope so."
