Hogwarts was where you had some of the best years of your life – the memories that you had in that school were irreplaceable, so many different things had happened and they were both good as well as bad because not everything was perfect which was inevitable.

Those memories would stay with you for the rest of your life, and even the bad ones had taught you of your mistakes so that you could grow from them and not make them again.

The good memories, however, made you smile on the bad days, caused you to randomly burst out laughing in the strangest of circumstances or just start giggling if you thought of it.

When you moved into your very own apartment after Hogwarts, you were adamant that the good memories would continue because you had ended up living with your long-term boyfriend Cedric.

Your relationship with Cedric had surprised a lot of people, purely because of how long it had lasted which no one had expected.

The both of you were young when you got together, and at that age a lot of relationships did fail because of the age and the not knowing what a proper relationship was – you and Cedric were the ones that broke that mould.

Cedric had woken up before you, but when you woke up neither of you actually wanted to get out of bed so you had resorted to just cuddling in the warmth of the covers and enjoying each other's company.

There was nothing that required either of you to leave the comfort of your bed, so you figured it seemed fair to have a lie in as it was the weekend.

Your boyfriend reached back over to his nightstand to get a drink, but ended knocking something to the floor causing you to sit up "I'll grab it" you told him.

Just as you went to get out of bed, Cedric quickly pushed you backwards "No! It's fine" he exclaimed, grabbed whatever had fallen and hastily hiding it.

"What was it?" you asked out of curiosity, him reacting like that had, of course, sparked some form of curiosity inside you so naturally you wanted to know.

Cedric turned back to you "Nothing" he said as he tried to dismiss your question.

You shot him a pointed look "You're hiding something from me" you stated as you crossed your arms, before sitting up in bed.

He shook his head, sitting up next to you "Psh...I am not" he told you.

His words caused you to roll your eyes "Come on Diggory. What is it?" you asked, still wanting to know as he was making such an effort to evade your questions.

"You'll be a Diggory soon" he stated catching you by surprise.

You looked at him with a small smirk on your face "Oh yeah?" you queried to which Cedric nodded "Says who?" you quizzed.

Cedric took a deep breath "You...depending on how you react to this" he spoke softly before handing you a black ring box.

You opened it and saw a sparkling silver diamond ring, you gasped and turned to Cedric "You're being serious?!" you quizzed in complete shock and surprise.

Cedric chuckled but nodded anyway "Of course" he told you, getting out of bed and moving to your side to kneel in front of you "Will you marry me Y/N Y/L/N?"
