Reader's POV

"Harry? You there? I was wondering if you would... Oh." Harry backs away from Ginny, his cheeks bright red. I step back and turn around, blinking back tears that are threatening to fall. I know exactly what they were doing. "Um...bye." I mutter and I turn away, sprinting down the hall.

I run, not really caring where I am going, I just want to get away. I end up outside, curled up behind the Weasley's shed. I clutch my knees to my chest and try to stifle the noise.

"(Y/N), are you okay?" I hear Harry call. I pull my legs in more and hope that he doesn't see me. "(Y/N) where are you?"

I hear him leave and I sigh in relief. "Why are you out here?" I hear and I look up. "Hey, Ron." "What's up?" I sigh and take a deep breath. "Harry was kissing Ginny."

He sighs and puts his arm around my shoulder. "That sucks." Ron has always known about my secret crush on Harry. "I just wish that I could tell him, but I am scared that...well, I guess it doesn't really matter now."

He stands up and reaches out his hand to me. "Talk to him." You need to." I sigh and take his hand. He leads me through the house into his room that he and Harry are sharing.

"Hey, Harry? (Y/N) wants to talk to you." He pushes me into the room and leaves. He looks at me and I sit down at the end of the bed. "Harry, I'm sorry for reacting like that. I just...I just...I really like you, Harry, and it really hurt to see you kissing Ginny, and I'm sorry."

I stand up and go to leave, but I feel a hand grab my wrist. "Stop, it wasn't what you thought." I allow him to pull me back onto the bed. "I was asking Ginny for tips, because she has had boyfriends, and I asked her how to flirt with a girl, and approach one, because there is this girl."

I stand up again. "I don't see how this is supposed to help me." "Don't you see? I wanted to know how to approach you! I like you." I feel myself start to smile. "Really?" He nods and takes my hands. "Yeah." I look him in the eye. "Harry, you aren't coming back to Hogwarts, are you?"

He shook his head. "I have to stop him." I nod. "I know." I slowly lean in. "So, until you leave, will you stay with me?" He nods, his hand cupping the back of my head. "Of course." He leans in and I meet him halfway, our lips slowly pressing against each other.

I back up slowly, looking at him. He is smiling. I stand up. "I have to try on my dress for the wedding. I will see you later." He kisses me on the cheek and I blush, leaving the room.

Ron walks by and sees my smile and blushing cheeks. "I assume that it went well." I nod and laugh. "Yeah..." I walk away.

TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY VOLDEMORT'S ABSENT NOSE

"Hermione, will you help zip me up?" I ask, attempting to finish getting my dress on. "Yeah." She nods and zips it up. I smile at myself in the mirror. My hair is pulled up into an elegant bun. I straighten my dark violet dress. It has long sleeves that hang off my shoulders and the skirt falls to my knees. I fasten the straps of my heels and follow Hermione outside.

I sit down beside her and watch the wedding unfold. Though its entertaining and moving, my eyes are set on one particular person.

Afterwards, I sit in the corner with a glass of firewhiskey, watching the proceedings unfold. "Hey." I turn and see Harry standing there. "Hey." I say, smiling.

"So...you, you wanna dance?" He says, cheeks slightly blushing. I nod, smiling. "Of course, Harry." I stand up and take his outstretched hand as he leads me out onto the dance floor. We start to dance, swaying back and forth to the music.

"Hey, Harry?" I ask. "Yeah?" "When was the last time you danced with a girl?" He laughs. "Yule Ball." I laugh with him. "You weren't the best, were you?" He laughed and I smiled.

"Y/N?" "Yes, Harry?" "Will you...Come with me. To defeat Voldemort. I want you to come with us." I close my eyes and lay my head against his chest. "You know I can't. I think...I need to stay at school, fight him from there."

I feel him slowly lead me outside. We sit down and he takes my hands in his. "I know. I just wanted to ask." I lean in and kiss his cheek.

"It's okay. Let's take this time we have to be together until we part ways. Be careful."
