After a long day of babysitting the Potter and Weasley kids, Hagrid sat on the porch waiting for the parents to return. After a few minutes, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny returned to pick the kids up. The others said their goodbyes, and left but the Potters stayed.

"Ginny, you can go, I have to talk to Hagrid for a moment," said Harry.

Their eyes met and Ginny nodded understandingly. She side-along Apparated with James, Albus and Lily and Harry and Hagrid were left in front of the Borrow. (Mrs. and Mr. Weasley were visiting She'll Cottage.)

"Thanks for babysitting Hagrid! It means so much to is you know!" He said reassuringly.

"Can I ask you a question Harry?" Asked Hagrid. Harry nodded.

"Well the is hard to say, bu' sometimes I feel like I haven't done enough door yeh. During yeh seventh year, you wen' off and well...I feel like I haven' done enough?

"Why do eh, Ron, Hermione, an' Ginny always let me babysit? There are so many others, Luna, Neville, the Weasley's, Percy, George, Angelina...why me?"

Harry smiled at him. "Because your the best father I could ever have. And you mean so much to me, I can't explain in words. You brought me to the Dursley's and that day during the war when you were carrying me to the battlefield...I felt so...devastated. Hagrid, you were more than a friend. You're like my father. You're not forgotten and you never will be."

Hagrid started to sob. He chocked in his sob and said,

"Yeh shouldn't have said that Harry! You know how emotional I get!"

"It's true!" Said Harry hugging him.

"Well, that means a lo' to me! Now ye'd better go, Ginny will be wondering."

Harry smiled and waved. He Apparated with a crack leaving a smiling Hagrid.
