"Excuse me?!"

Penny came rushing into the bathroom in a rage, where Sirius was changing his clothes, always with one eye glued to his phone.
He threw on a T-shirt in a flurry of movements and didn't even look up as his girlfriend stomped towards him.

"What?" he finally asked more nervously than expected.

"You know that very well! Why do you have a boy's jumper and don't want to give it back?"

"I-I- don't know..." mumbled Sirius. He was highly embarrassed by the subject.

Yes, he had that jumper.

And yes, he had it because it smelled so damn much like Remus. Like chocolate and his deodorant.

He could never get enough of that smell. Never.

"Do you like it?" sighed Penny, as if she'd given up. She didn't like yelling at Sirius, let alone making him uncomfortable.
"Like who? The jumper or Remus?"
A small, mischievous grin stole it's place onto his lips, though his eyes weren't smiling. They stared blankly into the brown-haired girl's face.

"Both of them?"

Sirius tried to take a deep breath, but failed mercilessly. The air burned in his lungs and made breathing like living hell.

"Of course I like Remus, I mean he's my best friend, he's the best friend you can have. He's always been there for me. He's always lifted me up when I couldn't do it anymore. He's just perfect, with his bright green eyes and his chocolate brown hair and that dreamy look when he's engrossed in one of his books again-"

He stopped briefly to catch his breath, which surprisingly he did without it hurting, and then started again.

He hadn't even realised he was talking to Penny.
About WHAT he was talking to Penny.

It was only when she touched him gently on the arm that the delicate bubble he had been floating in burst and he was brought back to reality.

His gaze focused on the brown eyes of the girl in front of him. He immediately thought of Remus again. That brown just drove him crazy.

"Are you all right?" she asked, concerned this time.

"Hm?"

A wistful smile crept onto her face.

"You love him."
"No!" he cried desperately, trying to look anywhere but into her eyes.
"I-I mustn't! I'm in a relationship! I'm supposed to love YOU!"

"But you don't," she said, wiping a tear from his cheek while she had to hold back her own tears.
"And that's why I'm going to do the right thing now," she whispered, one hand still on his cheek.

"I think- no I know, that going our separate ways is the right thing to do. For you and Remus."

"And what about you?" Guilt ovecame Sirius.
"I'll be fine," she said, pulling him into a hug.

"Thank you," Sirius mumbled with tears in his eyes. Just then, so much weight was lifted from his shoulders that he began to cry with relief.

"I'm so sorry!" he sobbed.
"He'll never love me anyway," he sniffled after a long pause.

"How can boys be so STUPID???"
"What?" he asked in surprise. His tears stopping suddenly.

"You're so BLIND!"
"Oh really?"
"Yes you dumbass!"
"And why is that, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Because he loves you! Didn't you see the looks he gave you at Alice and Frank's wedding?"

He shook his head in consternation.

"Well I saw it!" she informed him.
"I don't know what to say..." he said.
"Just say you're gonna go on a date with him and just kiss. Finally. Please."

Sirius laughed briefly.
"Well. You will be the first to know."

"I fucking hope so!"
