Y/n stared wide-eyed at her best friend who sat in the seat next to her. Remus had deep cuts and scratches across his face and hands. "Remus." Y/n whispered, trying to gain the boy's attention.

Y/n rolled her eyes and kicked him in the shin, making him wince. "Oy! What'd you want?" Remus grumbled, turning to face the girl. "What happened to you?" She asked.

"Nothin'. Bugger off." Remus spat, turning back around. Y/n frowned and crossed her arms, slouching in her seat.

Once charms class was over, Y/n immediately followed Remus out of the class and down the corridor.

"C'mon, Remus! You can tell me what happened!" Y/n pleaded. "I can't. I'm sorry." Remus panted. "Look, my mom taught me some healing spells when I was younger. I'll help heal you up if you tell me what happened." Y/n whispered. Remus stayed quite for a moment. "Fine." He said.

Remus watched as Y/n kneeled in front of him. "Episkey!" She chanted. Remus' face and hands felt very hot, then went cold. Y/n got up and fetched him a mirror as he looked down at his now barely woundless hands. Remus looked into the mirror that Y/n held out in front of him. He moved his head to observe different angles.

Sure enough, the recent cuts and gashes were gone. Unfortunately, the older ones were still there.

"Brilliant." He muttered under his breath. "Now," Y/n began as she sat down next to him. "Tell me how it happened."

"Okay. But you can't tell anyone. Promise?" Remus asked. "Promise." Y/n assured. "When I was younger... I got infected with a sickness. Um, the term is Lycanthropy." Remus began.

"Yesterday was the full moon so, well... y'know. I'm a werewolf." Remus continued. "Really? That's so cool!" Y/n exclaimed.

"It's far from cool, Y/n. I'm a monster. People don't accept my kind." Remus bellowed. "People are wrong." Y/n said.

"They're not far from the truth." Remus replied. "Well, for what it's worth, I don't care what you are. I think you're great... werewolf or not." Y/n smiled. "I guess that's nice to hear coming from you." Remus laughed.

"Um... well, I better get going. I promised Sirius that I would study with him today." Y/n exclaimed, standing up. "Right. Thanks again, Y/n. Oh... and please don't tell anyone. Not even Sirius." Remus reminded. "I promise. Bye, Rem." Y/n waved before running off.
