bludger | james potter
Y/n sat under a tree in the courtyard, her eyes screwed shut and a smile on her face. Peace and quiet was rare, and so she escaped every chance she could.
A loud thud came from next to her as James Potter jumped down from the tree she was laying against. "All right there, y/l/n?" James asked. "I was." Y/n spat, her smile falling. "M'not bothering you, am I?" James asked as he got comfortable next to her. "Yes, actually. Yes you are." Y/n seethed. "Shame. Anyway, I came her to tell you I've got a quidditch game today. You're welcome to come." James smiled, cockily. "I'll think about it." Y/n replied monotonously. "See you there, love." James smirked as he got up and ran off.
Y/n arrived at the Quidditch Pitch with a scowl on her face. How James Potter persuaded her with so little begging, she didn't know. She was about to walk up the bleachers when James approached her. She had to admit, he looked really good.
"You came!" James smiled. 'Had this really been that important to him?' Y/n asked herself. "Yeah." Y/n nodded, a blush rising to her cheeks. "Wish me luck, y/l/n?" James requested. "Um... good luck!" Y/n exclaimed with a soft smile.
The game had been going on for mere minutes. James had already scored two points. Both times he had looked at y/n and sent her a wink, filling her stomach with butterflies. She hated it, feeling this way. She was supposed to despise James. He was a prat.
James had scored another goal. He looked at y/n, a shit eating grin on his face. Y/n's eyes widened as soon as she saw the bludger make contact with James' head. James plummeted to the ground, his broom in tow.

Y/n sprinted to the hospital wing, pushing past the three other boys who were crowding around James' cot. "What is she doing here?" Sirius seethed. "Shut up!" Remus whisper-yelled.
"Y/n?" James croaked, lifting his head up to meet her sharp gaze. "You are such an idiot! What were you doing looking at me?" Y/n scolds. "I wanted to see you." James replied groggily. "I was worried sick about you! And Madam Pomfrey wouldn't let me visit you. She said you already had too many visitors." Y/n sneered, looking back at the other three marauders. "M'okay." James assured.
Y/n opened her mouth to say something but she quickly shut it. Instead, she embraced James in a tight hug. "Never do that again!" She exclaims. James was smirking at his friends. Sirius groaned. With no thinking, Y/n pulled away from the hug and slammed her lips onto James'.
When she pulled away from the kiss she was met with James' cocky expression. "I can't believe you take a bludger to the head just to wink at me." Y/n shook her head, smiling bashfully. "T'was worth it." James shrugged.
