amortentia pt.3 | draco malfoy
I watched as Draco stirred the potion in the cauldron. "Who's gonna smell first?" He blurts, pulling me out of my thoughts. "I'll go." I mutter. He steps away, giving me room to smell. As I inhaled the potion, I took in the smell. Well, did it work? What did you smell?" He asks. I look up at him in shock, throwing the spoon against the table. "I don't think it worked. We must've done something wrong." I stammer. "What did you smell?" He repeats. "Mint, rust, expensive cologne... green apples." I mumble, looking down at the green apple that sat in front of Draco. A smirk spread on his face. "Will you stop that?" I plead. "Stop what?" He smirks. "This has to be a mistake." I scoff. "Accept it. Weren't meant for each other." He teases, pursing his lips out and making kissing sounds. "You're being ridiculous." I shake my head, hiding my blush. He laughed, wrote something down on a piece of paper. And just as class was dismissed, handed it to me and walked away. I opened the paper to see a note.
Meet me. Astronomy tower. 9pm. Sharp.

I made my way up to the Astronomy Tower, being careful not to get caught. When I reach the top, I see the familiar bleach blonde hair that invited my here. "Well, why am I here, Malfoy?" I ask, sitting down next to him. "Since we're soulmates, I figured we should at least start to actually like each other." He begins. "I do like you. You're just... scary." I laugh. "Let's change that, then. Is that all right, love?" He asks. "Brilliant." I smile.
Draco and I talked all night about anything and everything. He isn't nearly as mean as I thought he was. I've never laughed so much in so little time than tonight.
As my eyelids grew heavy, a yawn escaped my lips. "It's late. We should go." Draco blurts. "I had fun tonight." I admit. "Me, too." Draco nods. "Thank you." I mutter. Draco smiles as he leans in, I do the same. As our lips connect, my hands go to his hair. As we deepen the kiss, we lose balance and fall over. We laugh as he crawls off of me. "I guess that's a sign to go to bed. I'll walk you back to the common room?" He offers. "Thank you, kind sir." I smile.
