I’m going to focus on one of the most hated characters in Harry Potter - Peter Pettigrew.

Peter Pettigrew Fact File:

House: Gryffindor
Skills: Animagus: being a rat, in every sense of the word
Death: March 1998 - After hesitating when ordered to strangle Harry, his own hand, that Voldemort had given him, strangled him to death.

My Opinion:

To go against his own friends, who took him in, knowing that he would not fit in anywhere else, is the biggest crime.
The only word to describe this rat is
C O W A R D!!
In my opinion, he betrayed his friends and those who were protecting him because he thought he was going to die on the good side. He did all of this to live. But, how are you living when you’re being the worst possible version of yourself?

The only way someone could like this character would have to be if they wrote a fan fiction of him as a much better being.

Betraying his friends and being a total rat (*says in disgust*) was his only ‘talent’ (to him, probably). Getting to the point, he was not smart at all.

Here’s Why:

Peter Pettigrew went to Hogwarts, where he was finally sorted into Gryffindor after a 5 minute hat-stall.
He soon after became friends with 3 very popular and talented boys - James Potter, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin. In this group he felt safe and in other ways, felt popular and known to be apart of this group.

After betraying James and Lily’s trust, he searched for Voldemort in Albania.
This is where he showed that his cowardice outshined his knowledge.

Voldemort was out to seek power and nothing else. He wanted to become the most powerful wizard ever... he wanted to rule the world, including the muggle world.
Pettigrew went out for protection, but what he clearly did not understand was that Voldemort cared for no one but himself and his power. (*cough* and his horcrux’)

Therefore, Peter Pettigrew, the biggest coward any Potterhead could think of, was setting himself up for a worse life than what he already had, after betraying his friends.
