The train stopped at the station all second years up got off and went to get to the carriages, Hagrid was stood waiting for the first years "first years over here!" he called to let them know this was the way they were meant to go over to him. Blaise saw and said "Whoa! he's tall" Draco said "that's Hagrid, he works at Hogwarts he's a half-giant" "really? I heard not many witches or wizards who have creatures blood or things like that can get hired" Draco nodded "yeah, but the headmaster is nice enough to hire him he's the groundskeeper, and it plays to his strengths" the boys went over. Hagrid saw and said "Ello Draco!" "Hello again Hagrid, are you here to take us to school?" Hagrid said "that's right!" once all first years were there, he led them to some boats "no more than four to a boat! alright hop in" he helped some first years into the boats, Draco and Blaise found a boat and waited for others to join them.

Sumire saw them and went over with Theo and got in with some help, once everyone was in "alright forward!" Hagrid said loudly and the boats started to move forward towards the school. all first years were chatting excitedly about this "you'll see Hogwarts soon, in the lakes a giant squid" Hagrid told them some students looked over carefully to see the squid. soon the squid showed themselves to everyone which caused some to gasp in amazement, the squid wasn't a magical creature just a giant squid Draco saw Sumire not looking too good "are you alright?" he asked her. she shook her head Theo said, "she looks a little pale, maybe she's seasick?" Draco nodded he let her hold onto him "maybe we should suggest to the headmaster to hand out anti-sickness potions since some might be like Sumire get seasick" the boys nodded at the idea.

Soon Hogwarts came into view a chorus of gasps, whoa, awes, wicked and other sounds of amazement came from people. nearby the group of four could hear "the castles charmed to look like a run-down ruined castle to muggles, I read about it in Hogwarts history" Draco rolled his eyes at the show-off. Theo said "I don't think anyone asked for them to say" the boys nodded, Blaise looked at Sumire "are you OK?" she nodded not speaking in case she was sick. she just wanted off now "alright everyone duck!" Hagrid told them all students did as he said as they came to a low-level wall. once on the other side they came to a docks Hagrid got out, and helped each group out of their boats and onto dry land "you feeling alright now?" Blaise asked Sumire she nodded "yeah I guess, I'm seasick we won't have to do that every year right?" the boys shook their heads "no, it's only for first years and from what my father said it's also how the graduating year leaves to catch the train," Theo told her, which made Sumire glad she wouldn't have to use the boats for a while.

Once everyone was on dry land Hagrid led them to the castle and to tom who was waiting for them. "Thank you, Hagrid, I'll take it from here," he told Hagrid who said "alright professor" he went off to the great hall to take his seat. tom looked the group over "now I'll be back in a minute, don't go wandering off and do not cause trouble" he gave them a look of disobey and you'll regret it. he went off leaving the group to talk Draco was talking to his new friends "well, well seems it is true the rumours on the train, that Draco Malfoy has come to Hogwarts" this caused everyone to stop talking and looked at Harry who had walked over like he ruled the school. he said "this is Dudley," he said motioning to the very large 11-year-old behind him, Draco knew who they were he'd had the displeasure of meeting harry before and seeing Dudley form the train. "And I'm Harry, Harry Potter" a snicker was heard and he glared not knowing where the snicker came from, he then spotted Sumire and saw her as a target and blame her for the snicker.

"So, you think my name is funny do you!?" he looked her up and down and said, "greasy hair, crooked nose, you must be a Snape" he looked at Draco again "you'll find some families wizard families are better than others Malfoy, you don't want to go and make friends with the wrong sort but I can help you there" he offered his hand to shake to become friends, but oh Draco was not having any of it. he was getting an idea of harry potter and he already knew how to make allies and enemies, he was glad no one knew he knew about this world, he let him see the real them and he had just insulted his friend too. Draco glared slightly at harry "no thank you, I can tell the right sort for myself also I would never be friends with someone so cocksure of themselves, who also has to have a backup with him to act as a bodyguard" Draco told him coldly.

Tom then came back and cleared his throat and said "I hope we are not causing problems gentleman before your even sorted? if so, I will take points from the houses you are sorted to" "no professor, we were just talking" Draco told tom who nodded. "Alright then now follow me insides" he started to walk in others following. "Are you OK Sumire?" Draco asked she nodded staying quiet, the comment hurt her "you're not, and don't listen to him" Blaise told her "Yeah! your hair isn't greasy, and your nose isn't crooked" Theo said to try and reassure. her Draco nodded "yeah, I'm sure potter said that to try and act big and be a bully, my aunt says his father was a bully when he came here, his ego is as big as that boy with him which is a mini whale" that made her smile a little. they went in at the back first years were amazed at the ceiling, especially the muggle-born and raised "it's enchanted to look like the night sky, I read about it in a Hogwarts history"

"There she goes again," Theo said, Blaise said "I hope to merlin she isn't like this all year, I get sharing knowledge of our world but she sounds so condescending like it's a, I'm right tone I know everything" some nearby had a small giggle at that, knowing they were right. once at the front tom went up by a stool that had the sorting hat on which then performed a song.

When the song finished tom said "when I call your name! up please come up and sit on the stool to be sorted, from the moment you sit down at your house table until you graduate the house will be your family, treat them as you would family" he then read names out in order of last name, it went smoothly the houses clapping when they got a new student.

Soon they got to the students whose last names began with m "Malfoy Draco!" the room went silent whispers went around Draco went up and sat down. tom placed the hat on his head "ah a Malfoy I see!" a voice said. Draco looked up at the hat which chuckled "yes it's me, now where do I place you? and don't worry no one will hear you, as we talk inside your mind" "alright" Draco replied in his mind. "you'd do well in Gryffindor, alot of courage their bravery to but Slytherin to a thirst to prove yourself and follow tradition, now where to put you?" "Not Gryffindor, not Gryffindor" Draco said under his breath "not Gryffindor, eh? you are very brave and have alot of courage but very well if that's how you want it then" Draco hoped the hat would listen to him. "It had better be SLYTHERIN!" the hat spoke loud enough for everyone to hear, the Slytherin table while usually calm and clapped politely cheered. two redheads were chanting "we got Malfoy! we got Malfoy!" over and over tom chuckled at his houses reaction, and took the hat off Draco's head and said "the table with green and silver" Draco nodded and sat down next to the twins.

The sorting continued soon Theo was sorted, he was Slytherin as well after another few students it was Harry's turn "Potter Harry!" tom said Harry went up to the chair, and before it was placed on his head the hat shouted "GRYFFINDOR!" he just went and sat down. soon it was Sumire's turn "Snape Sumire!" tom called, Sumire sat down the hat put on her head it became a hat stall, the hat was having trouble placing her "what's going on?" Draco asked an older student said "a hat stall, it's when it takes longer than a few minutes to sort a student, professor riddle was one" the others nodded as well as Draco. "It had better be SLYTHERIN!" the hat said at last. Sumire went over sitting with Draco, soon it was the last person to be sorted which was Blaise who was Slytherin, the friends Draco had made had been all in Slytherin.

Tom put the hat and stool away the headmaster stood up and cleared his throat and said "welcome back everyone! I am professor Grindelwald your headmaster, I have some announcements to make before we get to enjoy a wonderful feast made by hard-working house elf's" he listed off some announcements that they needed to know, like what items had been banded this year and one about the third-floor corridor as its having renovation work done, after the announcements where done the headmaster smiled and said "now enjoy your meal!" the food appeared and everyone dug in "why am I not surprised the know it all, as well as Potter and that boy with him, are in Gryffindor" Blaise said Draco shrugged Fred said "awe, Ronnikins is Gryffindor" some looked at them confused "I take it he's your brother?" George said "yep! he is seems he's making friends with potter already" Draco said "if he wants to make friends with an arrogant prat then let him"

The twins laughed and said, "We like you! can we adopt you?" Draco said "what!?" Fred said, "OK so what makes you think he is a prat?" Draco said "I just do I've met him before coming here when I went school shopping and he was so full of himself and insulted Hagrid" this surprised some. "He insulted Hagrid, what did he say?" Sumire asked "well it was along the lines of how a half-giant is a danger, and shouldn't work at the school but Hagrid is very nice and he reminds me of the BFG," Draco told them a Slytherin girl asked "what is the BFG? I've never heard of that" Draco swallowed his food and said "it's a book, written by a muggle author about a big friendly giant, the BFG I had to read it for school a few years ago" they nodded. Draco then noticed a professor talking one looking at him "who's that there?" Draco asked a prefect said "oh that's professor lupin, he's the defence teacher and the one next to him is professor Kifo she teaches potions"

Draco felt his scar hurt, he wondered if it could be professor lupin who was looking at him? he knew it couldn't be the potions professor as her back is to him, as the students ate the ghosts made their appearance, the Slytherin ghost came over Fred said "that's the bloody baron, but watch out for peeves" "who's peeves?" Theo asked, the baron said "a ghost who likes to pull pranks, and if you have any trouble let myself, professor riddle or the headmaster know, we are the only ones who can handle him" "or befriend him like me and Gred did!" George told them, the ghosts all flew around getting to know the new students, the house ghosts went to other houses to say hello, soon the first years met all the house ghosts, the bloody baron for Slytherin, fat fryer for Hufflepuff, nearly headless nick for Gryffindor and the Gray lady for Ravenclaw. someone had asked nick why he was nearly headless as it was impossible and he showed them which made some students feel a bit queasy. once the feast was over the headmaster stood up and said "now off to bed everyone, prefects please show the first years to their dorms" 

(Professor Kifo like how quirrle had a turban to hide voldamort I'm having professor Kifo wear a hojab to hide McGonagall in my story it was the only way I could have her hidden and it not be suspicious)
