The rest of the summer passed and it was soon September 1st and the Lestrange family was getting ready. "ok so let me see if I understand this right aunt Bella Hogwarts is in Scotland" Bellatrix nodded "right and those who live in England, Scotland, Wales and even northern Ireland have to travel to London to take a train to Scotland?" she nodded again "ok I just don't get the logic, I mean someone who lives in Scotland has to travel from their home which is likely closer to Hogwarts than say us just to get a train to spend a day on it and travel back up there, why not just have the train stop at stations going to Hogwarts since some might not be able to travel to London because of money, or being muggle-born might not have money to spare for a ticket" Draco explained.

Bellatrix said "I have no idea Draco, and what you said makes sense about the picking up on the way but it's always been like that, and it's not something that can be changed now anyway have you got everything packed?" Draco nodded "yeah! I checked last night I had the elf's pack my clothes, so for winter break will it be here?" Bellatrix said "no it will likely be Lestrange manor or Malfoy manor" he nodded "you two ready?" Rodolphus asked "yes!" Draco said Rabastan said "well let's go, the train keeps a schedule and leaves on time so if your late your late, and have to find another way to get there" "another point aunt Bella, what if a muggle-born or someone has to travel far from London, they have to basically spend the night in a hotel so they won't be late" the two men looked at their wife and sister in law.

"don't ask, let's say Draco is finding faults in the way you get to Hogwarts its logic" they laughed and both said, "he's a Ravenclaw!" "No Slytherin, its where you all went all blacks, Lestrange's and Malfoy's have been" "not all Draco, my cousin was a Gryffindor his parents didn't like it, how he changed and not the good kind," Bellatrix told him. he nodded "ok so how will we get to the station?" "floo you just say kings cross station, there's a section for the floo hidden from muggles it's how we get there when living a distance," she told him. he nodded the adults had the elf's take the bags ahead and wait, Draco looked around the house one last time he knew he wouldn't be back here for a long time. it had been the only home he'd known since he could remember he then went to the floo, and grabbed some floo powder and said "kings cross station!" and threw the powder down and he was there he stumbled out and dusted himself down.

The elf was waiting and gave Draco his luggage on a trolley, which his ferret and owl were on Bellatrix had wrote to the headmaster and asked about the ferret and they agreed to it. he pet them he waited but his family didn't turn up "did they maybe get sent to another floo here?" he asked himself he decided to look. maybe they were looking for him to at the moment he was in muggle clothes, smart casual which consisted of black jeans a green tee-shirt, and a blazer he had black trainers on. he pushed the trolley and looked around it was full of people some heading to school, some work others travelling for different reasons, such as visiting relatives friends even because they were moving to the area, or to have a day out in London "it's so full, they never said how I'd find the platform I can't just walk up to someone and ask they likely wouldn't know" he said to himself.

Draco looked at the time it was 9:15 am "alright I've got more than enough time to get to the train, it's not leaving until 11 but how do I find someone to ask without sounding insane?" he watched and listened to the conversations around him. he might hear someone say Hogwarts or magic even see someone have a trunk to. he also hoped that his aunt and uncles were not worried and trying to find him, he sighed and picked comet up who lay around his neck comfy and trying to cheer him up. he sat down and sighed he looked and saw it was now 9:45 am he pet comet.

A young boy about Draco's age saw him, he went over and said "you going to Hogwarts?" Draco's head shot up making comet almost fall off and make a squeak in protest to tell Draco off. "If I am?" Draco raised an eyebrow unsure on this the boy said "you are your trunk, owl and a ferret?" he raised an eyebrow at the ferret. "Come on we know how to get there, who did you come with?" he motioned to his mother who Draco could see was clearly a pureblood witch, and to muggles looked like a model or movie star covered in clearly expensive jewellery. "I came with my aunt and uncles, we used the floo but I think they may have gone to another floo, if there is" "I think there might be, unless you say specifically which floo you want you'll be sent to a random one, here they're likely looking for you or waiting on the platform" Draco nodded and went with the boy to his mother. "also thank you for helping me, I think even if you're raised in our world this can be very confusing for a first-year if they come alone," the boy's mother said "it happens alot since some parents can't bring their child or just assume they will know what to do, which they will not like now if we hadn't noticed you may have missed the train," Draco said "yes that's likely what would of happened, so again thank you I'm sure my aunt and uncles will want to thank you for helping me"

The group of 3 soon reached platforms 9 and 10 "I have wondered where the platform would be? since its numbered like 1, 2, 6a, 6b" Draco said the young boy's mother said "you run at this wall, and you'll go to the platform and your family is on the other side no doubt waiting for you, the first time its best to have a running start" Draco nodded. he let the boy go first which he ran at the wall and soon disappeared. this is where Draco wished his uncles were here to help him, he knew no doubt they'd have played a small joke on him and his aunt joining in on it too. he took a deep breath and put comet back into their cage, which the ferret didn't like and squeaked up a storm. he said "it's just until we get through ok" the ferret if could would be pouting and turned his back to Draco.

Draco gripped the trolleys handle and ran at the wall, he ran right through and was soon on the other side and heard a whistle. which made comet jump Draco looked to see a bright red train, he was amazed it reminded him of the flying Scotsman "there he is!" Draco looked to see his family coming over. he was pulled into a hug by Bellatrix "please don't scare me ever again! please I can't lose you" he looked at her "sorry, I waited but you didn't come out of the floo, so I looked around but no luck but luckily someone helped me that boy there with his mother" they looked. Bellatrix said "oh lady Zabini! thank you for helping my nephew," she said "not at all lady Lestrange, if it wasn't for my son noticing then he might have missed the train, it's any witch or wizards duty to help those stuck in our world to the train, even if he had been muggle-born I would have still helped if I didn't it would look bad for our kind, it makes them think we are unwelcoming," Bellatrix said "that is true, Draco why don't you take your belongings to the luggage part" he nodded.

Draco went over a lot of people were here now, he guessed when he was meant to arrive it would have been quieter. comet looked at him with a look that said are you going to put me there with the others? Draco chuckled he said "no I'm not comet, let me put my things in and then I'll take you out" the ferret accepted the answer. Draco tried to move his trunk to the luggage compartment but it was heavier than it looked. "Ok, maybe I should have had one of them cast the featherweight charm, heavy" it was then the trunk felt lighter he saw two redhead boys who seemed to be second years. "Awe a ickle firsty" the boy on the left said "you know your right, so what's your name firsty?" the boy on the right said as they put the trunk in. Draco got comet out "thanks for helping me, and Draco" he told them as comet hung on his shoulder.

"Well, I'm Fred" the boy pointed to himself "and this is George" he pointed to his brother. "Nice to meet you dragon!" they said at the same time "you know the meaning?" Draco said "of course we do, our older brother is crazy on the creature that's how, well see you firsty," Fred told him and George left. Draco went back over to his family they'd finished talking to lady Zabini. "Now Draco I want you to have a letter sent by tomorrow night at the latest, telling me what house you got into and about everything" he nodded "ok" "something wrong?" Rabastan asked. Draco held his arm "what if......what if I'm not in Slytherin? I get put into Gryffindor, would you be mad and not want me?" he looked at them he was worried about this. the adults looked at each other having a silent conversation with their eyes. "Draco look at us and listen," Bellatrix said to him she was using a serious tone, "we will never not want you Draco, we could not care what house you are in, whatever it is we will be proud I won't lie, we will likely be a little upset if you're in Gryffindor, but not disappointed alright do you understand what I'm saying?"

Draco thought for a moment and replies "that you won't be mad at the house that the hat picks for me, and even if I'm not in my parents' house it won't matter and you'll be proud?" the adults nodded and then let him get on to find a quiet seat. Draco found an empty compartment he didn't want attention yet, as he sat down, he saw Harry potter and what he could tell was his parents enter. he could see how Harry and James walked about like they owned the place and everyone was below them, he heard a knock and looked to see the boy from before "do you mind if I join you? it seems quiet in here" he asked "no you're more than welcome, I realised I never said my name its Draco, Draco Malfoy you can call me Draco if you wish" "nice to meet you, I'm Blaise Zabini so you're the Draco huh" he closed the door and sat down across from Draco.

"I guess I am, but I don't remember anything well apart from like say a bright green light but that's only ever in a nightmare I get from time to time, it's always happens around their anniversary" Blaise nodded. "I understand, don't worry I won't try to be friends with you for your fame and things, my family told me that to do that is a cheap tactic and it could backfire alot since you're from powerful families the Lestrange, Black and Malfoy three of the sacred 28" Draco nodded. "Yeah, I've known about the wizarding world, my aunt and uncles made sure I knew about my wizarding heritage, and for when I did come back, I won't offend anyone like you Zabini since you're a pureblood, it's rude unless your close or told to use first names and I don't want to make enemies of anyone"

Blaise nodded "you're right there, but you can call me Blaise everyone has wondered where you were after that happened, also could I see the scar?" Draco showed him "we've been living in the muggle world since it's the last place you'd look, there's a muggle saying if you want to hide a tree hide it in the forest, also aunt Bella told me being in the muggle world let me have a normal childhood and have real friends, but I know as much as they've told me which is about that woman her goals and such, and also about the wizarding world which I'm glad they did" Blaise nodded and looked out the window. "Merlin, they have no decorum! the potters part of the sacred 28, and yet acts like this also his wife's family they aren't part of the sacred 28, but their half-bloods from what my grandfather told me the head of the evens family was a wizard who married a nice witch who was muggle-born, they are nice but it's the daughters look potters brother in law"

Draco looked and laughed and said "oh my god is he a whale!" Blaise laughed with Draco. "Oh, everyone says that, oh look his son is like a mini version I bet he has no brains in there" Blaise nodded "I have to agree, there it'll be money talks with them, they'll be Gryffindor they don't have the skills to be like a Slytherin" Draco nodded. soon they were leaving and the family on the platform waved Draco felt a little scared. he was leaving his family for the first time and it would be Christmas time he'd next see them, but he was also excited to go to the school his parents went to and learn about them. comet snuggled up to him to try and cheer him up, soon a voice could be heard "anything from the trolley!?" the boys looked to see an older woman pushing a trolley full of treats both sweet and savoury. she stopped by their compartment "anything from the trolley dears?" she asked Blaise said "I forgot to ask my mother for some money" Draco got up and said "well take a bit of everything" he paid and sat down. "You sure?" Blaise asked Draco nodded "yeah I'm sure, you're the first friend I've made in the wizarding world, also think of it as a thank you for helping me" he smiled at him Blaise smiled back and had some.

Comet was soon eating a pumpkin pasty, Draco kept the sweets away not wanting comet to be sick. they soon opened the chocolate frog luckily, they caught them before they could hop away. "Who did you get?" Blaise asked Draco looked "oh I got headmaster Grindelwald, you?" Blaise looked "I got Salazar Slytherin" the boys had fun becoming friends. it was then a knock came they looked a young girl with long knee-length black hair, and blue eyes "excuse me have either of you seen a sugar glider a boy called Theo has lost his?" she asked the boys shook their head. "Have you tried asking a prefect they can summon it?" Blaise said "Theo's gone to find one, while he is I'm asking around in case" "if we see one well let a prefect or you know" "thanks" she smiled. "I'm Sumire by the way" "I'm Draco and this is Blaise, you can just call me Draco" "and me Blaise nice to meet you Sumire" she nodded. she looked at Draco she had this feeling she knew him but couldn't place where this was their first meeting right?

She was soon sitting with them talking and getting along "you two had better change, it sounds like we'll be there soon bye" she got up and left to let the boys change. "She is right, let's change into our school robes," Blaise said Draco nodded "yeah your right, my aunt said these are a lot better than when she went and wishes they looked like these" Blaise nodded. "My mother said the same" both boys changed and waited for the train to stop at Hogsmeade.
