Sirius And Remus AU
Now this is something which happens a lot with me and my bestie nabilanooor in class especially during mathematics. So I thought; why shouldn't I make a chapter on this?
Note that this is a MUGGLE WORLD AU. That is, this chapter is basically how Sirius and Remus would have been if they were studying maths in the Muggle world and going to a normal high school instead of going to Hogwarts.
[As you see, lately I have been running out of ideas so if any of you want to help give some ideas for me to formulate, I would be real grateful].
Me as Sirius
Nabila as Remus

Sirius dropped his head down on the desk and groaned, "I can't take this anymore. Oh the torture! The immense pain! My brain cells have been destroyed! Oh Holy Father Remus, relieve me from the deadly sins of mathematics for I want to be a pure man. Cleanse me from the evil subject of the Devil, Your Reverence!"
"Shut up, Sirius. You're being unnecessarily dramatic," Remus replied, hiding an amused smile, while copying down the sum neatly.
"And you're being unnecessarily tidy," he rolled his eyes at seeing the perfectly aligned digits and formulas on Remus's journal and after a short pause exclaimed as audibly as he could without the Professor overhearing them, "the moths of algebra have eaten my brain!"
"Now now, Siri, this isn't algebra. We are doing geometry and tell you what, it's not that difficult," he tried to persuade Sirius, "look, you just plot the point on the y - axis like this and the line passing through the x - axis will meet up..."
But before he could complete the explanation, words began to pour out of Sirius like a never ceasing fountain. "Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word and deed, by what we have done and what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart, we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of Jesus Christ have mercy on us and forgive us, relieve us of the pain of facing a maths class everyday; so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways. To the glory of your Name. Amen."
Remus sat confused at first, not getting what had just came out of his friend's mouth in a fluent rush. At times, usually when Sirius got too emotional, he would start speaking non stop with such a speed that it took a while for an average human to interpret his musings.
"Slow down for a second, will you? I'm afraid at this rate you'll get a headache and I'll be forced to endure one as well. If you don't want to study, then go to sleep or whatever. I'll let you copy my notes afterwards."
"Get me some holy water! Please, I beg you!"
"Sirius, calm down, the Professor will hear you."
"He's nothing short of an advocate from Hell. I won't be surprised if he had ears as long as these straight margins on your journals. Why are you such a perfectionist, Rem? Why?"
"Siri, this is not the time to act like a two year old. Honestly can't you just sit still for now at lea..."
"Mr Black, Mr Lupin, am I interrupting you or is it the other way round?" the Professor's stern voice cut short through Remus's advice, "if you two can spare a second of your precious time, may I request you to take a look at the board? Or is that too much to ask from you both?"
Both of them straightened immediately. "I feel like throwing up," Sirius mumbled noticeably getting rather green from disgust.
"Mr Lupin, can we have the honor to listen to the important stuff you and Mr Black have been talking about? I'd personally like to know which stuff happens to be more important than your maths lesson?"
Remus immediately replied, "we're extremely sorry for the inconvenience, Professor. It is just that Sirius is feeling nauseous and he says he may or may not throw up any second."
"Then what are you waiting for, boy," the Professor spoke in alarm, "get him to the Infirmary. Quick."
"Yes, Sir is absolutely right. Get me to the Infirmary, Remus, I do not wish to die an early death," and even though Sirius pretended to feel faint, he had that mischievous glint in his eyes signifying that he had once again got his way.
Remus sighed wearily. Placed an arm around a feigning faint Sirius and hauled him up to his feet, leading him out of the class. "Next time you make me sacrifice such an important lesson for you like this, without any valid reason," he whispered in his ear, "I won't ever tutor you or let you borrow my notes. You can fail all your exams if you want and I wouldn't give a damn."
"Oh but you so would, Rem," he remarked playfully, straightening and reverting to his characteristic sauntered walking style as soon as they were conveniently away from the classroom, "you not helping me is simply out of the question."
"And what makes you think that?"
"Because you love me with the bottom of your heart," his eyes sparkled again, "and you can't possibly let the love of your life not be by your side at Graduation, can you? Ah love, love, 'tis love that makes the world go round."
"Stop quoting the Duchess from Alice In Wonderland," Remus remarked, slightly ticked off at having to leave the class, "it is highly irrelevant at the moment."
"And the moral of that is... Thee who opts for perfection, gains none but apprehension."
"Shut up."
"Aye Aye Captain."
^^^
Yes, this is, in fact, based on the everyday struggles of studying Maths for me and my friend. Our teacher, you see, isn't quite into explaining stuff so it makes the class real dull and boring and trust me, I have done most of the stuff in class which Sirius does in this chapter (despite me being an absolute goody two shoes). So basically, this thing is the story of my life at the moment. Or rather the story of my Maths progress at the moment.
