Back to the story! (I know the cover came out a little while ago but when I started this draft it wasn't. Sorry for not updating lol XD)

Sophie (time skip!):

Nervous nervous nervous nervous...

I was nervous!!

First day of what was technically wizard school.

And no mom to tell me, "Oh sweetie! You'll be alright!! I'll be waiting for you after!!"

Well actually I lived at Hogwarts which was the school.

And I've never even tried to cast a spell before.

I'd been staying at Hagrid's for the past couple days before I could get determined which 'dorm' I would be in. (and I quickly realized that Hagrid was not your typical person. Or wizard. Or whatever.)

"Nervous are you?" Hagrid suddenly says, coming up behind me

I jump in surprise to turn around and see him towering over me. He was quite tall.

"A little," I admit

"Ah. Don't worry," he says, "Everyone's nervous on there first day of Hogwarts! But you've already made some friends, right?"

"Yeah," I say

Ron, Harry, and Hermione had visited me frequently to keep me company and help prepare me for school.

School.

Yeah. This was definitely different then just school.

"You'll be sorta into your house," Hagrid continues, "Dumbledore I assume will place a hat on yeh head and it will tell you which house you'll be in. Griffindore, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. Yup! All four houses! Try not an get into Slytherin though. Mean kiddos are in that house," he says

"Can't wait," I mumble

"Aw don't be like that! According to how your are, I'll bet you'll be in Griffindore. The three of your friends are in that house too!" He says

"Yeah."

Then I look at the clock.

7 minutes and then I would have to be at Hogwarts. (Which was up a hill and through a bridge thingy)

But of course Hagrid says

"Better be off early! Dumbledore will prepare you better than me. Cmon! Get up!" He says pushing off of my chair

"Hey! Oh alright. I'm going out! I'm going!"

And then I'm outside.

"Have fun!!!" Hagrid tells me and closes the door

Well... I think, what fun is this.

I fumble with the tie of my wizard robe that Harry gave me. Apparently everyone had to where it.

I honestly still  felt like a complete outsider though.

Then I take a deep breath and walk to Hogwarts.

Nervous, not nervous, nervous, not nervous, nervous, not nervous

Ahh. Help!!!!

"Sophie!" Someone then calls

I spin around to see Harry calling me from down the hall.

"Hi!" I say breathily as I finally make my way over

"What are you doing here so early?" He asks

"Oh. Hagrid said for me to come here early so that... I guess to get a feel for the school," I say

"Smart," Harry says

He takes his wand and fumbles with it a little.

"Where's my wand?" I ask

"Huh. Did you get one?" He asks

"No. Not besides the one that Dumblefore gave me which is still in his office," I say

"Dumbledore," he corrects, "And you should go and get it. You'll definitely need it in the classes," he says

"Oh uh... okay do I just go there and get it — "

Were interrupted though with Ron and Hermione jogging down the long hallway.

"What the matter? Harry asks

"Stupid Malfoy," Ron mumbles underneath his breath

"Stupid??" Hermione repeats, "You mean more like disgusting, horrid, ugly, maybe evil, (A.N - this is when they are suspicious of him FYI)

"I get it, Hermione," says a sharp voice all of the sudden, "You hate me. Not that I would want to be friend with a mudblood," he says
