::Chapter 55:: Battle of Hogwarts

Percy was working when he was interrupted by Tom walking in in battle armor that he had made himself-with Hephaestus helping with it. "What is it?" He asked standing quickly, his armor appearing over his body as well.

"Hogwarts is being attacked-they have a big army surrounding the entire school. HogsMeade has been raided-all are safe in the school as far as we were able to tell from Severus' quick fire talk." He spoke as he lead them out of the office and down the stairs to the great entrance they had in their home. There Remus was with Sirius talking quickly with each other. "We need to get there as soon as possible. We know it's a large army-but we don't know what it consists of yet-there's a possibility of giants being on their side. Easily controlled they are-" he stopped at the top of the stairs to look at Percy.

Percy stood with a focused look of calculation, calm but yet a fury was settled deep in his eyes brightening them with the ignition of more anger. "Then lets hurry before anything happens-The kids and Severus are in there."

"On it love." He grabbed the mans hand before he could walk down. "Whatever happens today-I just wanted to tell you-" he was stopped by a hand to his mouth.

"Don't-that's never a good idea-trust me." Percy spoke with a pained look. A smile coming out when he moved his hand. "Tell me after okay?" He moved forward and kissed Tom softly. His hands on either side of his lovers face.

"If you promise to not stop me next time I try to say it." Tom spoke as his hands came to the cold armor that hid Percy's ribs pulling him closer. "Okay?"

Percy smiled. "Sounds good." He spoke before they kissed again once more.

"Alright, enough of that-we need to get the rest of us to Hogwarts and we aren't sure how we're supposed to get in with the wards up." Lucius spoke from the bottom of the stairs having arrived with his wife Narcissa. Battle robes at the ready.

Pulling away Percy walked down the stairs with a grimace as he realized that was true-"There's a secret passage Harry told me about when he had to sneak out to Hogsmeade. The twins showed him-the twins can show us-they're with you Lucius-take all non creature wizards with you-Severus and you will in charge of them from the inside."

"And the non creature wizards?" Remus spoke with a frown.

"You can Sirius will be commanding them with me and Tom outside-were going to try to hit them from the back and lower as many numbers as we can. The creature wizards have been given or have armor-they also have better instincts and reaction times in a battle I would assume. The other wizards will be helping inside where I'm sure they have their own plans on home territory-they will know those grounds better." He explained as he tightened his sword strap around his waist.

Remus looked at Sirius with a frown before turning to Percy. "Sirius should be inside Hogwarts."

Tom frowned at the sudden change-"why?"

"Remus-" Sirius warned as he faced the werewolf with a glare on his face.

"Sirius-I'm not letting you and our child get hurt." Remus spoke with a growl hinted in his voice eyes flashing a more golden color then the usual whiskey they were.

Percy blinked as he turned to Sirius. "You're pregnant?" He asked surprised before he gasped. "You are Pregnant."

"It's only a guess-I could be-" Sirius flushed red.

"You are." Percy frowned. "And I agree with Remus. You'll go with Lucius and Narcissa then."

"But we haven't confirmed it-" Sirius tried to argue.

Rolling his eyes Remus wrapped a arm around his lovers waist and sniffed his neck. "Yes-it's faint-but you are. And I'm not letting you go out on the battlefield with us if you are-you'll be safer in Hogwarts-I can't lose you when I've just..." he sighed before he kissed Sirius forehead.

"Remus?" Sirius spoke as he looked into his recently found out mates eyes. Then he sighed as he understood then. "Fine. But don't expect me to sit still when the wards do go out."

"I'm fine with that I suppose." Remus sighed before they turned back to the rest of them.

"What about Bella?" Sirius asked Percy.

"She's with the others getting ready at Malfoys. We should go-we've been here a minute to long." Percy said with a quick grin that didn't reach his eyes. How would they in such a situation?

Tom nodded. "Even though we don't have much of a time set-he's right. Let's go."

With that each one disappeared with a pop or a mist of water.

Biting his lip Harry looked out at the transfigured barricades out on the largest bridge that they came to at the beginning of the year in thestral pulled carriages. It was getting dark and the onslaught of spells kept coming-and they were all worried as they saw the faint lightning shaped cracks started to appear in some areas. He could practically feel the air filled with magic-he could feel Hogwarts pulling as much strength as she could to keep the wards up.

"Harry...." His eyes found the gray cool ones of Draco. "We've got some of the pranks-with a deadlier twist to them-all set up along the sides. Neville has explosions put on the old wood one-they plan to blow it up. Crazy huh?" He spoke as he pushed a barricade tighter to the wall.

"Yeah..." he spoke quietly.

"You...worried?" He asked Harry as he now stood in front of the shorter of the two of them.

Harry's frown deepened before he flinched and looked up at a particularly large rock smashed into the wards. "A bit...this is war Draco-so many people are going to die when it finally crashes down..."

"Then we better be prepared. It's what we can do-it's all we can do to try to minimize that." Draco's voice had grown softer as he grabbed Harry's face-finding his heart clenching when the boy relaxed and pushed his cheek more into his hand. "We will win...we have to."

Harry sighed and nodded. "Right."

"Now come on-we're having another meeting in the great hall. Words come that more adult wizards are coming-most of them will be taking up the tower defense as well as ground defense and offense." Draco did a quick peck to Harry's nose and then grabbed his hand and started to drag them back into the castles walls.

Neville was in the great hall trying not to freak out as his heart raced in anxiety-making his skin clammy and cold. "I need water-" and there was a cup in front of his face. He mentally thanks the house elves that were around still-bringing snacks out and onto the tables-dinner cancelled and nobody really having the stomach to eat. Maybe snack-but nothing to heavy yet. 5th years had been included after arguing that they knew how to defend themselves-but even he was worried for them.

"You okay Nev?" Daphne spoke softly as she sat down beside him. Her hair tied up into a bun. No strands loose. She was in a simple long sleeved shirt and shorts. Her wand in her hand now clacking with the table.

He turned to her. "I'm....not." He answered honestly.

Blaise and Theodore arriving as he said so. "Understandable-most of us aren't." Blaise spoke as he sat across from Neville, Theo sitting beside him.

They went quiet before Theo hit his elbow into Blaise's ribs. "Go on." He spoke.

"What is it?" Daphne spoke with a brow raised in question as the two glared in front of her and Neville.

Blaise sighed as he turned to them. "I came into my inheritance-" he ignored their wide eyed looks. "With it-I know who my mates are..."

"How many?" Neville asked. He knew his father figure-Percy-had two, and Harry had three. It varied among species sometimes and others it's just that they work really well together. "And what are you?"

"Three and a Vampire," he twiddled with his own cup of water-they all had a cup now. "Daphne won't you have a inheritance? Won't you all three get one since your purebloods?"

Theo rolled his eyes at the boys directioning. "Yes-but mines probably going to be in winter."

"Summer, and fall ish for you, Right Neville?" Daphne spoke as she eyed the two across from her.

"I suppose so. Who are your mates?" Neville asked wanting to know-he'd rather know now then later considering he had a crush on the male-and it would be better to get over it if he knew he wasn't one of them-even if that hurt him at the thought of it happening.

"Well..." Blaise sighed. "You three. Theo-Daph, and you Neville..."

Neville blinked-he hadn't expected to actually be the Slytherins mate-he looked at Theo-he hadn't even thought of the boy as a love interest either, Daphne yes-Blaise definitely-but if they were all mates-then Theo he'd need to get to know better. Then he blinked again as he realized he just went with it-like it was natural even though he was ready to be hurt a moment prior. "Oh..." he blushed darkly.

"Really?" Daphne smiled happily.

Blaise looked at her and smiled softly. "Yes..."

Before they could speak more in depth-wizards started pouring into the room. And with it a face Neville wasn't expecting-Bellatrix Lestrange was there walking quickly up to Severus who was there watching them come in. He didn't even notice when Lucius, Narcissa and Sirius were behind her. Or any other who walked into the great hall-including Harry, Draco, Ron and Ginny coming over to the table they were sat at finding out they were mates. They would need to talk more about that later.

Bellatrix turned her head at the feeling of being stared at even though there was many staring at her, her eyes found misty green ones-on a face of a good mix between the people she still could hear screaming in terror in her head. The guilt pressed heavily into her as she realized this was their kid-her godson.

She didn't go to him-she didn't know if he even wanted to see the face that practically killed his parents-instead she focused on protecting him and the rest of the kids left in the school.

"Where's my Dad? And I guess my other Dad? I still don't know what to call them-" Harry spoke breaking Neville out of his confused emotional state for the moment. "Everything good with you guys?"

"My godmother is here-don't know how to feel about that." Neville spoke as he decided to not watch her like a hawk.

Blaise blinked. "Who?"

"Bellatrix." Theo spoke up. "He kinda stared at her shocked so-it makes sense, but that's crazy-I mean...she's crazy isn't she?"

"Was." Hermione spoke as she came up with Luna beside her. "She was-apparently she was purged and there was a lot of damage done to her by unforgivables. Shes on our side."

"And my dads?" Harry asked.

"They're with the rest outside the wards-getting ready to attack." Luna explained softly. "We're getting ready in here for the inevitable fall of the wards."

"Inevitable?" Draco asked with a raised brow, doubting.

She nodded her eyes going slightly clouded. "Yes."

"Great." Harry sighed.

_____

He nearly growled in anger if he didn't need to stay quiet. His eyes roamed the mounds of monsters and giants-to the titans he could have sworn that should be dead. At least for another couple more centuries they were supposed to have down in Hades Realm. This was starting to look like a tougher situation-and they still had the unknown variable of the entity that was speaking with Kronos.

Quickly he was turned into nothing but water particles and appeared beside Tom in a tent far away from the enemy army.

"How was the scouting mission." Tom asked as he looked down at the maps in front of him on the wooden table. A cup of blood-he wrinkled his nose at the smell of iron-but he needed it for strength if they were going to be fighting soon.

"We have a few problems....we'll need to hit sooner-as soon as night falls." He spoke as he waved his hand over the map of the area of where Kronos' Army lay in wait. Throwing spells and rocks or even trees at the wards that kept them out. There were now moving dots on the map-some bigger then the rest. Some labeled with a red mark of a trident. "I'll be getting the ones with the trident-you won't be able to even if you tried everything in your power...then I want the werewolves on here-there's vampires there-Dumbles and Gramps' got them on their side before ours-but they're only a handful really. At least for the wolves. Remus will lead here."

"And Hogsmeade? It's been raided by monsters and a few ichor drunk wizards from what Nagini was able to tell. The mermaids have already had a few casualties and have kept them from going via the lake. Should we send some ground team for them?" Tom asked as he looked over the many dots as they appeared on the other maps-the other areas. The blue dots being allies. He realized they were definitely outnumbered outside the wards and inside-even if they were all together they'd still be a bit under. And he thought they had gotten more then the old coot.

Percy moved his hair-he should probably find a hair thing-he hadn't cut it in nearly a whole year and it was curling around his neck. With that thought his hair was pulled back into a hair tie with gentle hands he remembers well. "Hestia..." he greeted calmly as Tom watched with a focus of cat ready to pounce if needed.

"Percy." She spoke. She was in adult form and was smiling softly as she finished putting the most likely part of his hair into a small ponytail. "We've abolished the laws-Hecate had pointed out that we'd be just doing the same thing as with the second war-where we lost everyone. Where we couldn't do much-now we can help. The titans will stand no chance with all of us." She smiled.

Percy looked up as someone came in and found his father in battle gear with his two uncles. He smiled at them. "Welcome to the party."

Tom got closer to Percy as he stayed on guard with the newer occupants. "Percy...what's going on?"

Percy smirked sinisterly. "What's happening is that we're going to win..."

_____

Vampires screamed as they were attacked by the werewolves and wizards-they had run to where they could only go-to the wards that had yet to come down. They fought hard as they faced off against each other.

A rusty brown wolf-a proper werewolf came with-the leader. And the leader of the vampires was fighting with him.

Scratching and tearing at the skin of each other is all they could do as battle rang around them and blood filled the air. Remus growled as he kept control of Moony so that they could focus on what was needed to be done-one of the many perks of accepting his wolf half. He wasn't some gnarled furless creature but a magical wolf as tall as a man and with the power to snap bones in a bite.

He tried again to nip at the Vampire Leader Magnus-who was hissing and throwing spells when he could-they didn't have much potency to do much but Remus still avoided them.

They were winning-until they worried they wouldn't when the wards finally fell midway through the battle outside of them.

The vampires took that opportunity to gather at the bridge-Remus following with a snarl as his heart raced as he found fear coming to him at the thought that if they got in-his future husband and kit were in danger as they were without him there beside them. His eyes roamed as they stopped inside the old wood bridge he remembered well from his mauradering days with his pack.

They landed on Neville...who stood with wide eyes and a wand at the ready. Other kids-other wizards on the other side at the ready.

Remus' breath hitched as he stalked forward no more as it was a standstill now.

"Well would you look at that-" Magnus grinned. "It's just a tiny boy! Hah! Let's go!" He started running at Neville who quickly spout off a spell-and the next thing anyone knew was that the bridge was exploding-most of the vampires falling off with screams.

Those who weren't on the bridge quickly died to the werewolves safely on the ground and not above the large ravine between the school and forest.

Neville was still running though as Magnus was able to get past the initial explosions that knocked others off-of the parts that fell already. The wood shook under him as it was ready to fall as well.
Neville's eyes met with Daphnes as she screamed at him to keep running-to keep going-he wondered why the bridge felt so long-suddenly he was grappling for a hold as the part of the bridge he was on tilted down where the rest of the bridge had gone.

Daphne screamed as she went to run forwards but was stopped-she could do nothing. She could only watch as Neville looked terrified at her as he fell-the vampire holding onto his ankle as the bridge broke off slightly from the rest.

"NOOOOO!!!" She cried as she kicked the persons hold and ran forward-for even a chance he could be there-for anything she wished and hoped-that he was there-that he was alive....she hoped she was right.

______

Harry muttered under his breath as he paced back and forth-near the front doors-the large doors were open. And the courtyard and bridge was seen with a mess of barricades. Some wizards-most Hogwarts students were to stay inside and take care of any that happened to make it inside. The older years were to protect the younger or to keep the enemy out. But most were scattered and ready.

They were told the wards were going down-that they'd be down for an hour tops to regain some magical energy-so they could rest easy for a night-but first a battle would happen.

As soon as the wards crackled and fell-a swarm of monsters and wizards alike came rushing forward. Hagrid's spiders fought other Acromantulas from other regions-being ridden by ichor drunk wizards.

Harry turned to Draco who was pale as he watched on. The enemy progressively getting closer. The spells already hitting the walls and the grounds already shaking. The screams taking place to ring inside his ears. Next thing he knew he was fighting them off with his wand and dagger in his left hand made of celestial bronze. Understanding now why his father had explained how the gold dust clings before falling away into nothing.

It felt like hours when in reality it was minutes into it.

He heard so many things as he tried to stay on his toes and keep the enemies from entering where he could imagine all the first years crying for their parents-who were either not here or out fighting and possibly dying.

He tried to stay close to Draco but it was hard when they had to dodge and weave around to not get hit by wayward spells or debris falling from the groaning castle.

Finding himself hiding behind a pillar-wanting to fly off as his wings itches to run away-but he was trapped there. His eyes widened when he saw ice appear in spikes past him and stoping the spells that were aimed at him. He had let out a laugh of gratitude before he was turning to follow where it came from-from Draco.

"Come on now Harry-stay on your toes." Draco spoke with a smirk.

"I'm trying-there's so many of them." Harry spoke as he came up and started firing spells again as he tried to stick close to Draco more this time.

"We've got this-we ha-" Draco started but was cut off when a burst of light hit him.

Harry screamed-screeched really as he watched a spell hit Draco then. His mate falling back fast into the fountain of the main courtyard. Unmoving. He scrambled over to him as he dodged another spell. Tears already clouding his vision as he found Draco's wound-a good cutting jinx had got him right through his side-a large wound that started pouring the red liquid of life-blood.

"Draco-" he warbled as his throat seemed to close on him-his heart aching as the boy didn't respond. "Please...Draco-Draco!!" He yelled-screamed.

"Harry!" Ron spoke as he skidded beside him looking worse for wear but everyone was looking worse for wear by this point. "Oh Merlin-" Ron put up a shield-"cmon-we need to get him to the mediwitches Harry!" He yelled over the sounds of battle.

Harry sobbed as he nodded. Quickly bringing Draco into his arms. "Cover us?" He spoke as he calmed suddenly-knowing he needed to focus on getting Draco help.

"Of course mate-let's go." Ron nodded as he fired spells back to those who targeted them on their way back into the castle.

Harry's stomach twisting in knots-wondering if this...if Draco was going to die-the blood was dripping sharply and at large amounts as they traversed the ruined halls.

Especially when Draco stopped breathing.
