:: Chapter 32 :: Extra classes

As days turned into weeks. Harry had started to get used to living in the same place as his dad while at Hogwarts. Enjoying his classes and enjoying his time with the friends that were talking to him. It wasn't much different from before Hogwarts-except they were at Hogwarts.

At some point-Dumbledore was being surrounded by aurors to bring him in for questioning. His father had smirked proudly at the thought as he was the one who gave all the tips to every root he could find of the old mans. But was angry that the old man somehow escaped.

With the position of headmaster open-the one to step up wasn't either Percy or Mcgonagal-like many had hoped so fruitlessly. Instead the Pink toad, who was already setting up rules that made Percy want to throttle her. Or feed her to the black lake. Maybe to Mrs. O'Leary, or Estella...Either way he wanted her gone. Especially when she criticizes his teaching to his students. She seemed to think his work unimportant.

Muggle studies actually helped his students understand why it was so important to keep hidden-for now. One Nuke could absolutely destroy them all and this castle if it were ever found somehow.

Harry agreed with his father when she taught nothing for DADA. Only had them read books and they very well couldn't pass their exams if that continued.

So with the help of Hermione and Neville, plus the Weasleys-Ron, Ginny and the twins. They had meetings in the room of requirement twice a week. It was fun for them. It made it feel like a secret mission.

Though there came a day when a teacher found out.

Everyone stopped what they were doing to gulp and lower their wands, the dummies falling still and Harry sighed.

"What?" Percy asks as he rolls his eyes and enters the room. "You need an adult to supervise at least, right? So here I am." He pointed out. He was right if it wasn't a secret club slash class. Percy brightened into a smiling ball. "Also, I can teach some self defense when your wandless if anyone would like."

The room filled with cheer and Harry smiled at his dad-super proud to be his son. "Thanks Dad." He laughs when his hair is ruffled, feeling like he was ten all over again.

They got to work making the kids stronger and smarter in DADA and self defense with the help of the twins and Harry himself.

Weeks passed, Halloween passed, Christmas passed.

And while Harry missed his friends and his house-he was happy.

Harry was in the room by himself, Ron having just escorted the smaller years that had joined-the list of scrawled names having gotten so much longer. Nearly half the school came, the classes for such happened everyday now to. Though they tried to be inconspicuous. The pink toad still had an eye on them. It got harder by the day to keep their army hidden from her beady eyes.

He thought about Ron and smiled. He could say the male was quickly becoming one of his best friends. His sister not as love/Hero struck was also a good friend to have. She, Luna and Hermione got along well. Always ganging up on the boys. Mainly Harry and Ron. Neville was just strung along for the ride most times.

Speaking of Neville, the boy was growing out of his baby fat-still round in the cheeks but he was tall and lanky. But with the year under Percy he was filling in just a little. He was surprisingly one of Percy's favorite to teach. He took to all of it better then any other. But they all worried for him a tad bit. He was really close to Daphne and Blaise. But he hid it pretty well.

The twins practically courted him as much as they could seeing as that year would be their last year. They wanted Harry in a relationship-they even spoke of Draco-but that wouldn't be happening with how the boy was acting. Yet Harry wasn't ready. So he thinks, and he was not in the mind set yet to date anyone steadily. They were a little put out but they didn't push. They only gave Harry a kiss on the forehead each and told him they could wait until he was ready. They knew it was hard for Harry at the moment. And they wanted Draco just as much as Harry. Their feelings only grew as time grew longer.

He smiled, as the year wasn't so bad. Yes he lost some of his friends to the dark side quiet literally, but he gained some to. A lot of them.

"What are you thinking about?" The voice startled him to find Ron back as he came in and the door phasing back into a wall behind him.

"Just about how I've made so many friends this year." He smiles as Ron stops close by. "You being one of the best surprisingly." He said without much in his voice but his smile turned into a smirk.

Ron scoffed at his bored tone towards the end. "Right," he smiles back at him. "So for the summer," he decided not to play on Harry's obvious bait for a little fun spat. "-do you want to come to our house for dinner at some point? You're more then welcome to bring anyone else. Your father is definitely invited. But my mom wants to meet you two. She knew your mom and dad. James and Lily."

"Hm, right. I'm sure we can fit it in into our very very busy schedule." He grinned impishly and Ron rolled his eyes once more.

He started to walk out before he was turned and walking backwards to keep his eyes on the troubled-hero. A door appearing. "Come on Jackson, dinner will be served soon. Don't want to miss out on that now do we?" He grinned.

Harry laughed as he ran to catch up, and they walked down to the great hall, all the while talking about food and stories that came from food. Entering without a care. It wasn't like it was a new occurrence. Ron put an arm around him and smirked as he told him about something that made Harry howl laughing.

They didn't notice the heated glare coming from the Slytherin table. Nor would they as they were to enraptured in the talk of how the twins got in trouble by their mother for pranking Ginny with chocolates.

Percy patted Harry on his head as they finished up for the day. He was smiling though. Kids loved the exercise they usually didn't get or they whined-but either way it reminded Percy of camp. It made him happy to teach kids-as well as miss his home.

The class soon ended and they were told of when the next meeting would be as well as what they all needed to focus on for the week.

When they started to leave- the room shook as if lightning had struck the earth near them. Cracks forming in the wall. Instead of three at a time. They did 6, seeing as they were found out-or about to be and needed to rush out.

Kids panicked but stayed calm with Harry directing them with his friends and father. Until it was just him, his dad, Hermione, Neville, Ron and the twins. With them being the last-and about to leave-the room was opened up. Percy changed it quickly to a sitting room. The help of the room of requirement made it even faster. Everyone sat quickly and stared at the entrance with forced masks.

The pink toad came in and made a smirk of triumphantment. But as she looked around her lips pursed. It wasn't what she was expecting at all. "So, having secret meetings are we?" Her eyes narrowed on Percy sipping tea. She hated the man. Muggleborn she presumed and she was quite the purest herself if she was being truthful.

"I suppose, if talking about what to do for the summer, is secret?" Ron asks taking a cookie. Glad to note they were real and really good. He grabbed another. "Either way it's none of your business."

Draco came from outside with Blaise and Theo. They looked around and their eyes met previous friends. Neville put his eyes down to his tea cup after meeting the brown one of whiskey across him, while Harry ignored Draco the best he could.

Harry felt betrayed then as he realized-His friends were helping the toad. Ex-friends he supposed. For what reason he had no clue but he knew that his chest hurt but he hid it well when his eyes met icy blue. He glared at him with the sudden anger and then joy in seeing Draco flinch in silent shock-yet it didn't register on his face made him smirk into his own tea cup as he looked away.

"Still secret meetings are not allowed. It's rule 69." She spoke harshly. Flabbergasted when the group burst into giggling or surprised snorts. Percy had to bite his cheeks to remain professional. "It's not allowed and all of you will have detention later tomorrow after classes."

"No they will not Miss Umbridge. They were all perfectly behaved, and it wasn't a secret. You can ask some of the kids that passed through. Since I'm not in my classroom. They would have had to come ask me a question for their school work wouldn't they? Secret implies it was only between us, and not half the school." Percy points out. "Just because you were out of the loop doesn't make it secret, also I'm a teacher not a student-thus I don't need any detention. Already had enough of that." His eyes flashed into a dangerous mirth and the pink toad gulped as she stood straight.

"Still Harry needs to come to detention for earlier today in my class." She gulps again when his eyes stared at her without much emotion. She felt unnerved with being unable to read the man.

Percy looks to Harry who only shrugged and took a sip of the tea. "Right."

Harry had nearly forgotten about how he blew up at her earlier that day-but he could really care less about whatever the pink toad wanted.

Draco, Blaise and Theo having seen the glare were surprised to find Percy staring at them. They wanted to run. But they're eyes met his. Then guilt washed over them as disappointment washed into Percy's gaze. It was hard to swallow for a minute but then the silence was broken.

"Alright. Well I think since our tea time talk was ruined." Hermione stood with grace. "We should head off, right?"

The twins nodded and helped Harry up, Ron following. Neville quickly putting his tea cup down as well before they all started to walk out and past the gazing students. Some familiar faces looking shocked out of all but composed none the less.

Percy finally stood himself and he towered over the short toad herself. His gaze made her shiver in fear. But he didn't say anything and walked out.

Classes with the Daedalus Army was put on pause as the sudden scrutiny of Umbitch and her loyal-they guessed-group that gave out detention like candy.

It didn't really matter as the school year would be coming to an end soon enough. And everyone they taught would more then likely pass their tests.

_

"I hate this!" Draco snarled as he threw a book in a random direction and flinched as he watched it land on Harry's unused bed. Dust would have collected if their rooms weren't cleaned nearly every day from spells and the works of Hogwarts. He turned away from it and rubbed his nose.

"Yeah, well you could just deflect-I've been thinking about it." Theo spoke softly not even caring when they both gasped. Or in Blaise's case a suck in of air of irritation.

"You'd be ostracized from the Slytherin dorms." Blaise pointed out as he stood leaning against Theos bed, across from Draco's.

"Like Harry hasn't?" Theo narrowed his eyes and growled. "I didn't want be apart of a war-my dad is a follower. He wants me to be and I don't want to cause I don't care! I care about my friends more then who wins. I care more...for the people that make me feel like life is worth living."

They stared at Theo, this was the most he had ever spoke to them, to anyone. He usually stayed quiet and gave small clips of advise. Sat and reads with Hermione. Quiet but there. He never spoke much of his opinions unless he thought they were being dumb.

Draco bit his lip and looked away. Ignoring the ache in his chest and the itch in his eyes. He hated it to.

"I may not be apart of it like you two are. I'm in the gray zone with my mother....but if I were friends with Harry. Then-I'll be a target, and in being a target-so would my Mom. Theo, and Draco-your in more danger considering Voldermort could use your twos previous closeness and make you betray Harry a lot worse then what we already have." Blaise spoke calmly.

"You don't think I know that?" Draco's surprisingly soft and quiet voice made them look over from staring at stone grounds. "Everything is so fucked...I miss Harry, Hermione and Neville-and they replaced us with the Weasleys. But they have the guts to stick next to them unlike us...."

And he was right, they weren't finding the courage-that the Gryffindors were sorted for. They needed to play smart. They were Slytherin after all. But right then-they knew, they didn't have what it takes to leave and didn't even know if everything would ever be ok if they did for not just them but they're families.

Looking out at the black lake, the mermaids swimmming past at some points. Draco wondered if...if it really would work out for them all. He didn't want to fight-and he really didn't want to fight against all his friend on the other side of the dark.
