:: Chapter 28 :: Darth Vader

Harry jittered as he shook his body, his sword held carefully in his hand. He wore a simple long sleeved shirt with the sleeves pushed up to his elbows. A choice of jeans which he regretted slightly with the heat that was pushing down from the sun in the sky. His eyes widened as he quickly blocked and held his ground from his own dad.

Riptide slid away with a sound of metal sliding, and Percy smiled to congratulate his son for deflecting while even distracted.

"Okay, Harry, your form is slipping when you don't focus." He said softly and swung his sword again, and again Harry blocked it quickly, if not as gracefully as his dad would have.

"I know, I know." Harry replied and tried to look for his opening while his Dad kept swinging at him. Finding himself being pushed back towards the water slowly but surely. Quickly he ducked under and ran after deflecting another blow.

Percy grinned at his son being smart and turned for he was the one blocking this time. "Good job." Noticing how his son was tired, the sweat a great indicator. He stopped them. "You did great Harry." He spoke as he patted his sons back. Giving him some water as they walked to a shaded spot under a tree and sat.

Grinning he sighed happily as he gulped down some of the water. He hadn't realized how thirsty he was. But considering they had been training since early morning-and it was afternoon now. Then it made sense. "Thanks..."

"What is it?" Percy asks, eyes looking up at the passing fluffy white clouds.

"What do you mean?" Harry questions his dad confused as he gave a him a glance.

Rolling his eyes he spoke calmly to him. "You know, the jittery part of you hasn't left even after I've worn you down. Something's up, or bothering you, what is it?"

He paused in answering his father. His eyes moving to the black lake. "Just...I have a bit of a bad feeling-like something is going to happen and I'm not going to like it." He says honestly. He was never able to keep much from Percy. He could tell him he murdered someone-and knew his father would ask for all the details before getting angry.

"I'm not going to lie-but me to." Percy spoke and wound his arm around his shoulders. "But, if we're together...undoubtedly everything will be okay. And even if we aren't-your strong Harry. So strong now sometimes I think you don't need me anymore." He pouted a hit at that thought.

"Of course I need you! All the time." Harry yelled as he turned to his father with a frown and a bit of irritation. Looking like a ruffled cat ready to fight.

Laughing he nodded to his son. "Yes I know, but not like you did when you were younger. You face your problems head on without even looking my way sometimes now. You aren't so afraid anymore. I'm proud Harry, so proud. And I know, really I do. That you need me and I'll always be there-I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." He took Harry's face into his hand and studied it. "You're growing to fast." He says and kisses Harry's forehead.

Harry scrunched up his nose a little but smiled nonetheless.

"Now come on, Remus and Sirius probably arrived by now and are looking for us. Tonight this whole tournament will be over. And soon after-we'll be home. I miss home." Percy sighed contentedly as he pulled Harry up after himself of course.

Putting his sword in its sheath on his hip, Harry got excited to see his Godfather and his Uncle Remus. "Let's go!" He grabbed his Dads hand and headed towards the castle in a flurry of excitement.

Even though tonight would change a lot of things for him, and the world.

"I hate that you're in a tournament, and I can't help you." Sirius pouted, holding a tea cup-which was a sight that didn't fit him as most would see if they looked at the man. He may have his aristocratic features in a more darker tone-it still didn't fit with the flowery white tea cup he was holding gently as if he would break it.

Rolling his eyes. "You only want to participate to practice your wizarding skills." Harry snarked off with a grin as the grown man gasped.

Remus and Percy only looked at each other and rolled their eyes respectively. They were having Dinner together before the task began and found that it was nice to have family around. Hermione would have been there, but she was technically not family so she wasn't allowed to be there sadly. Even though they all argued she was. Percy even would get the papers, but she was still mourning the fact her birth parents turned on her and now knew nothing about her.

Harry talked and talked about his school year to both Sirius and Remus all the while Percy watched with a fond smile. His egg he had with him nearly every moment now, warm against his stomach. It had grown a slight bit, was still smaller then the average dragon egg. He had been talking back and forth with Charlie Weasley about its development.

Apparently, Riley-the mother dragon Harry was put up against-was dealing with her litter of babies that hatched days ago. Percy worried his would never hatch without its mother but he continued to take care of it diligently. His kneazle Chester even participated in taking care of it.

But either way, the small family talked about Harry's improved grades and his efforts in the previous tasks.

Soon everything went from happy to somber as someone came in to tell them that the task would be starting shortly. The sun had set and the stars were starting to appear one by one.

Percy helped Harry into some armor to prepare himself. Holster with not only Harry's own wand-but his fathers second wand from Olivander in his boot just to be safe. His sword stuck to his side, sheathed and freshly sharpened. Completely allowed to be as prepared as he was, Harry was kinda surprised when he saw that the rest were barely as decked out as he. Leather shin and arm guards was all he could see. While he had one of his fathers brothers best armor plate on his chest along with metal arm guards and leg guards, a Greek helmet securely over his head.

His father then summoned another one from his room, and turned to Cedric, the boy got flustered as he was suddenly given such armor. He tried to deny it but Percy bonked his head. Saying it was something that kept him safe. He would feel bad if only his son from Hogwarts had one. Plus Cedric was a great student-he would hate to see him go. Harry felt happy his father was taking care of the other champion-sure he may have been jealous at some point, but he knew his father took care of many people-but he loved Harry.

Bouncing in his spot after giving Cedric a grin, he looked ahead and the much taller hedges. He tried to keep his fear from rising to his throat, his hands clenching on air as he waited, becoming sweaty from his nerves.

Victor would be going first-then Cedric, then Harry and finally Fleur, as that were their placements after the last task. The last one being of time even if Harry had grabbed two people.

His breath was hot as he ran trying not to trip much and that was harder then said being as the hedges kept trying to trip him themselves. Sentient plants were not one of his favorite things Harry deduced. He found himself asking doors to let him pass, to fighting an a giant spider that nearly got his leg if he hadn't gotten its own. It went from 8 to 6 legs before scurrying off in painful shrieks of anger.
He continued onwards before skidding to a stop. He turned and continued forwards finding the way he came down as narrow as a line drawn, with no other turns just straight.

The hedge then started to move and Harry cursed before he was running, ignoring the ache in his ankle from a well placed trip. He kept going even when he couldn't run sideways and just hurried along as wisps of vines started to slither themselves along his skin. He had to suck in as much as he could and dived into the light at the end even though his father wouldn't really like his analogy.

He gasped as he made it out as the hedge merged together. He tried to get his breath as he looked up and there the goblet cup stood in all its glory and he nearly passed out in relief. He then saw Cedric enter and they cheered as it was the boys of Hogwarts here first.

They walked up to the table. "So, what do we do? You were here first so maybe-"

"No no, Cedric. We're both from Hogwarts so it doesn't matter. So you take it." Harry implored as he smirked and held his hand out as if he was showing off a great treasure.

Cedric rolled his eyes and smiled. "How about, since we are indeed the Hogwarts Champions, we take it together? Yeah?" Cedric speaks as he gets closer to Harry.

"On three?" Harry suggests grabbing the sleeve of Cedric in case.

Cedric starts. "One."

"Two."

"Three."

The feeling of the hook around his navel, the same feel of a port key. He found him and Cedric fatally moving in circles towards a destination unknown and when they landed, they landed hard.

"Ow..." Harry huffed.

"Kill the spare." A croaky voice spoke and it sent chills down both the children's spines, then a light came speeding towards Cedric. Bright green in color and it pushed Cedric roughly into a headstone.

"NO!" Harry screamed and before he could check on Cedrics still form, or to grab the goblet, he was being roughly handled by someone who should have been in jail, in Azkaban.

Peter pulled him to a grave with a stone Angel with a scythe-and he was quickly and tightly being wrapped to it, unable to move. His fear made him shake but he held it well with only slight tremors. His breathing though could have been better he supposed.

Then Peter was bringing someone over, a baby? And he watched the man start a ritual. Setting the baby in a large cauldron that could definitely hold more then one person. It bubbled venomous green and then splashed from a bone. Blood of an enemy made him flinch as he was suddenly getting cut deeply and blood was taken. Then he watched Peter cut his own hand off...

What in the world...suddenly the cauldron topped over and a man was quickly being robed from other people Harry hadn't noticed till now. The man was taller then his father, broader and pale. His hair was a dark brown and his eyes a deep blood red. He gulped as he realized this was a older version of the boy he met in the chamber years before.

His father, Darth Vader.
